Valik put his hand against a thick tree. "She can have her moment." suddenly he coughed up blood. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve. He looked up at Ryan, now showing his face. His eyes glowed in the dark. They were black with red lines in them, almost showing no white in his eyes. And his fangs were sharp and so long that they went over his lip. Still, Valik didn't notice any changes. He cleared his throat, trying to push down vomit.
Boothe shot a look of betrayal at Selia but quickly looked away. Sebastian frowned. He dropped his head, letting it hang low. He'll regret it later when he gets the neck pains. "I don't know what to do." he rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand wearily.

Selia slid to the floor, looking up at the ceiling. "None of us do." She said, sighing. "But we always make it through don't we?" The question rang in her ears, and Selia hoped it was true.
Ryan's eyes widened at the sight of Valik's fangs. "Valik, what exactly cut, or should I say bit, you?" Ryan's eyes turned a golden bloody red, and his fangs became pointed and long. His true vampire was showing, because of what was in front of him.

Valik looked at him as if Ryan was crazy. "What are you talking about?" as he realized that he was looking at his mouth, he slowly reached his hand up, feeling his sharp fangs. "What's going on?" Valik had done little research on nekos and werewolves. All he knew is that they're true form comes uncontrollably on a full moon. He looked up in the sky only for trees to cover it. Looking down at his hands, claws began to grow from his nails. Now his nails were long and sharp and black. "No." he breathed out.
Sebastian and Boothe looked at Selia, then each other. "Those machines are just going to continue terrorizing other villages." he bit his lip. "We need to find where they're coming from." Sebastian said. Boothe gave him a strange look, but said nothing in reply.

Ryan took a step back, arms raised slightly as if he were going to use them to block a blow. "Valik, I'm going to tell you to do these things, and I want you to concentrate on them. Remember your family, your life, your home. Think of the good times with Boothe and Sebastian, think of someone you love, or want to love." Ryan said, still on the defense. He had to ready for anything.
Selia nodded. "But we also need to heal. So if we to travel, we would need wagons." A slight smile played across Selia's lips. "And I know just where to get them." Standing up quickly, Selia grabbed her quiver and bow. "But we would need to get moving now, or at least two of us. It's too dangerous for me to go alone... at least to this place." Her eyes sparkled with intensity, her feet itched to be running to her last home... Scarilive Castle.

Memories of what he's done in the past flooded him, only making him feel more angry. Love? No, he's never felt love. He burns for it. But when he thought of his brother and Sebastian, who was like a brother to him, slowly he began to calm. "Tell no one of this." he said to Ryan in a serious tone. "And I won't tell them you're a vampire." If Sebastian knew about Ryan, he'd try his best to kill him. Valik wasn't ready to come back, so he climbed up the tallest tree that was around them, not waiting for Ryan to respond. Valik just wanted a little peace right now. To take in what he is...
Sebastian raised an eyebrow at Selia. "I'll go with you. Boothe will stay with them." he said, nodding towards Kale and the girl. Boothe didn't object. He wanted to wait for Valik any way.

Ryan nodded intensely, knowing that if they both had secrets, they could both keep them to each other. "I'll tell them you wanted to find out if there was any of your home left." He said casually, knowing Valik could here him. Waving his hand as he walked away, Ryan felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise. 'I just let a werewolf see my back turned...' He thought, walking a little bit faster. Arriving at the shack, Ryan saw Selia at the door. "What's going on now?" He whispered, hating how things always happened when he was gone.
Selia nodded. "Let's get going then shall we?" Selia held the door open, smiling widely. "It's a days trip for an average elf running, and then we'll have to be sneaky while we are there. So three days tops on getting back.." Selia made the calculations in her head, counting on her fingers. "Boothe..." She said quietly. "If we aren't back in four days, just go on without us. Please." Selia's voice was quiet and full of emotion. Turning and walking out the door, Selia ran into Ryan. Stepping back stunned, Selia apologized. "I'm so sorry...."
Ryan laughed. "It's okay. Where you going?" He asked. Selia just looked at Sebastian. "Home." Selia whispered, not wanting Sebastian to know her heritage or how she could have access to military wagons and weapons. "We'll be back soon though, don't worry." Selia flashed a quick smile and hugged Ryan.

Valik reached the top of the tree and moved the leaves so he would be able to see the sky and the surrounding places. Nope, not a full moon tonight. But it would be in two days. Valik would have to stay away from the group that night. He didn't know if he would be able to control himself. Valik payed no mind to Ryan. In his past research he also discovered werewolves and vampires were natural enemies, but he had nothing against Ryan. At least for now.
Sebastian nodded. "I can run and carry you to make the trip faster. But I'll need breaks every once in awhile." he said. He gave Boothe a reassuring smile and waved at the others as he walked onto the porch. He didn't say anything to Ryan, but with his eyes he motioned Ryan to Boothe. Sebastian slipped down the vine and swiftly landed on the ground.

Ryan nodded tensely, and gently eased out of Selia's embrace. "Get going." He whispered as he walked into the house and shut the door. "So...." Ryan said to Boothe, rocking on his heels. "What should I do to help out?"
Selia jumped down and landed next to Sebastian. "We're going north, to Scarilive." Selia said, starting to walk towards the general direction of her past home. Looking back at Sebastian, she smiled. "Let's go." Her eyes sparkled. Even if she ran away from Scarilive, it was where Selia lived the first 14 years of her life, and she was excited to see her past home again. 'We'll just have to make sure we catch my connections outside of the castle...' Selia told herself, still not ready to admit how she knew the people there. "So..... did you find what you were looking for?"

Sebastian didn't move for a moment. "So where all the rich, luxurious snobs live." he rolled his eyes and reluctantly began walking. He stuffed his daggers in his pants pocket. "No, there's nothing even close to Valik's wound. I have no idea where it came from." he sighed. "Once we get into the forest I can run. There's too much debri and smoke here." he said.
Boothe looked up at Ryan. "Did you find my brother?" he asked with concern in his eyes.

Selia glared at Sebastian's comment. "If you knew people from there you wouldn't be so stereotypical. It's where I'm from, for instance. I'm actually the heir to Scarilive Castle!" Selia threw her hands in the air, only to put them in her pockets. The woods came into view, and Selia let out a sigh of relief and sprinted to the edge, not wanting to hear or see Sebastian's reaction to what she said.
Ryan opened his mouth to speak, but only closed it and nodded. Taking a deep breath, Ryan managed to smile. "He just needed some air. And he wanted to see if anything survived from either of your homes." Ryan said, trying his best to look honest, and failing.

Sebastian's jaw and fists clenched. He wanted to tell her why he was so stereotypical and why he loathed the people of Scarillive. The fact that Selia is from there, and worse, the heir of the castle, made him want to kill her now. But judging by her reaction, she had no idea what happened. Reluctantly, Sebastian followed her to the forest. He squatted and put his arms behind him, motioning her to hop on his back. He didn't look at her or say anything.
Valik looked down at Sebastian and Selia, hearing their conversation. He shook his head at Selia. "She's not like them, though." he said to himself.
Boothe raised an eyebrow. "Well," he began to get up and reach for the cane. "I suppose I should go find him." he managed to stand up. He began limping towards the door, only to fall on the wooden floor. He yelped in pain and clutched his leg. The medical cream Sebastian had put in was breaking apart because of how much movement there was. "This is what I get for not listening!" he yelled. He began cursing in Russian as he struggled to get back on the bed. The medicine had already seeped into his skin. The movement had caused breaks and cracks in the hardened cream, causing his skin to break.

Selia reluctantly climbed onto Sebastian's back and wrapped her arms across his chest, never really looking at him. 'I'm so stupid..... Why did I tell him?!' Selia thought, regretting she ever spoke up and said she needed someone with her. Selia opened her mouth to speak, but she couldn't find her voice. Sighing, Selia built up the courage to say it. "I know that they are cruel people. That's why I left. I'm sorry for yelling like that." She whispered, still looking away.
Ryan jumped at Boothe's screams, and ran to his side. Picking him up, Ryan got Boothe onto the bed. Picking up the bowl of medical cream, he smeared it onto the wound and sighed. "Better?" Ryan asked, handing him water.

Sebastian immediately dashed through the thick forest. "Hold your breath," he said, ignoring her comment, "Wouldn't want you to choke." he added with a slight tone of sarcasm. He continued running for miles, which only took a few seconds. After about ten minutes of running, he stopped. "Where are we now?" he didn't make eye contact with her. He only looked ahead at the hills.
Boothe let his head fall on the pillow. "Sure." he replied to Ryan. "Thanks." He sighed. He wanted to go get his brother. It's not like Valik hasn't run off before, though. It's just that Boothe knew something wasn't right.

Selia glared at Sebastian. "Forget it Sebastian. I'll go myself if it just kills you inside to know someone from Scarilive. Let alone help them." Selia turned and started to walk away, fire tracing her footsteps. "And we're 30 miles south of Scarilive by the way." Selia called over her shoulder. You could see the highest towers of the castle just over the hills, and the fires from the villages gave them an eerie glow.
Ryan nodded. "If you want I'll go try and bring him back. He's had enough time to search in my opinion."

Sebastian rolled his eyes as he leaned against a tree. "Be my guest." he said, staying in his place. He didn't watch her walk away, he was too lost in thought of what had happened. If she knew then how could she be so heartless acting like it was nothing? Sebastian's jaw clenched in anger.
Valik was now in his full wolf form. He ran through the bushes and low branches of the forest. Cuts were on his face from the branches and thorns. Running was a bit difficult for him in this new form. Eventually, he made it to Sebastian but he kept a distance. Valik glanced behind him, seeing that he had left behind his tracks. He silently scolded himself but turned to Sebastian. How was he supposed to get into Scarilive now?
Boothe sighed. "Please. If it's not too much to ask." he replied. He smiled lightly. "Thank you." Boothe added silently. "Oh! And if you find him, get him to swing by my shop. He knows what to get."
