With a nod, the youth entered into the Throne Room and bowed before the Queen and Crux.
"Forgive my intrusion. I was sent to help put up magical barriers for your protection."

Ari looked up, her eyes going wide as she saw Tuomas standing there.
"T-Tuomas...b-but you died, didn't you?!"

The youth gave a small smile.
"No, I am still among the living. Well, in a matter of speaking."
Bowing once more, he turned to the doors.
"I will start putting magical wards up right away for your protection, my Queen."

She felt a little pale, still not used to this title. Sinking back into the throne Ari watched Tuomas work.

As soon as the last of the barriers was in place, Tuomas replaced the dagger and began to bandage his wound.
"That should be the last of it. No intruder will be able to come in or leave this room. Is there anything else that I may be able to do to be of assistance?"

After gathering more guards he called them to order at the throne room, "Leave no entrance unguarded. The queen must be protected at all cost!"
They all nodded and went off to their posts. Damien looked at the doors and decided to make his own appearance into the throne room. The wards allowed him to pass through and he saw the queen sitting upon the throne.
"My queen, I am Damien, lieutenant of your guard. It is a honor and pleasure to be in your royal presence." The captain was correct, for a newborn she was quite lovely. "You will be please to know that we have the guards posted at every entrance to the throne room. Luciferius and I can assure you no harm will befall you, my queen."

Ari looked at the man, worried about the current events. Still, she nodded.
"T-Thank you, Damien...I appreciate your efforts."
Her heart still hurt to think that it was Ryn who was causing all this trouble, but there was something else a bit more distracting at the moment. Putting a hand to her head, she turned to Tuomas.
"That is okay, Tuomas. Thank you."
The smell of his blood was strong in the room, and it was making her dizzy. It was also hard to ignore an unusual burning sensation in the back of her throat.

"My queen? Is everything alright? Are you sure you do not need anything?" Damien looked at her with concern.

With a look of recognition, Tuomas hurried to finish bandaging his wound and began stepping to the doorway.
"Perhaps it is best if I wait outside with the other guards."
Saluting to his men, Luferius entered into the Throne room. He bowed respectfully to the queen and nodded to his Lieutenant. "Well done. All preparations have been made and orders executed in a timely fashion."

Biting her lip, Ari gave a shaky nod.
"I'm alright, I just feel a little strange."
The burning was quickly becoming a ravenous thirst as she gripped onto the arms of the throne for support.

The captain frowned at the odd condition, but it became clearer to him as the scent of Tuomas' blood reached his senses. Turning to the youth, he gestured to the door. "The queen is still young and has no control over thirst. It would be wise to heal quickly."
"Of course."
Tuomas nodded, bowing once more before excusing himself from the room.

"Do not fret my queen. I was like you once and had no control over my thirst for blood. It will pass with practice in control." Damien lowered his head. He could have been more cheerful, but the circumstances and his captain's presence changed him.
