~The Story of Saiunkoku is being listed by S&S from Viz for a November release. Based on the tweets of SB editor Nancy Thistlethwaite, it looks like the manga version and not the novel version.

~Simon & Schuster has updated with the new releases for October 2010 - January 2011, so a huge update of images and summaries has taken place. Those titles included are:
Black Bird, B.O.D.Y., Butterflies, Flowers, Cactus's Secret, Crimson Hero, Crown of Love, Dengeki Daisy, Grand Guiginol Orchestra, Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time, Kamisama Kiss (formerly thought to be titled Nice to Meet You, Kamisama), Kaze Hikaru, kimi ni todoke: From Me to You, Library Wars: Love and War, Natsume's Book of Friends, Otomen, Ouran High School Host Club, Rasetsu, S.A, Sand Chronicles, Seiho Boys' High School, Skip Beat!, Stepping on Roses, Vampire Knight (and fanbook).

~Anime Expo (AX) is this weekend in LA; if you're lucky enough to be there, there is a Viz panel on Saturday from 10-11 am in Petree Hall. Hopefully there will be some Shojo Beat license announcements~ :] (and if there are, I'll put them here.)

~New series announced at Anime Expo:
Mistress Fortune by: Arina Tanemura
Sakura Hime Kaden by: Arina Tanemura (ANN has both Sakura Hime Kaden and The Legend of Princess Sakura, the literal translation of the title, listed, so we'll have to wait and see which Viz chooses to use.)
Oresama Teacher by: Izumi Tsubaki
Ai Ore by: Mayu Shinjo [Viz editor Nancy Thistlethwaite said on twitter: "Also, Ai Ore! will be the *entire* series, so it will start with 愛を歌うより俺に溺れろ! (We're calling all of it "Ai Ore!)." The original series is 5 volumes and the new one is 4+, so total there will be at least 9 volumes.]

~Viz will be holding a Vampire Knight panel at SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con on Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 in Room 9. There should be a general Viz panel as well, but it's definitely not on Thursday or Friday.

The Vampire Knight SDCC panel had a few new announcements about the series:
~Volume 3 of the DVDs will have episodes 9-13 and will come out on November 16, 2010.
~Vampire Knight: Guilty is "coming soon".
~They claim the VK fanbook is a great tool for cosplayers as Hino-sensei has notes on all the uniforms.
~There will be all sorts of goods for the anime coming out starting in August, including: plushies, wristbands, wallscrolls, tie pins (like the one Kaname wears with the Academy crest on it), keychains, phone straps, and more.


~I actually got to go to Comic-Con this year and did go to the Vampire Knight panel, but am going on vacation with my family tomorrow, so I'll have to post my pictures later (I also have pics of the Shojo Beat stuff from the Viz booth).

~The official SB twitter account asked what series fans would like to see sold in a set (like the Naruto one they did a while back) and they later said Vampire Knight was the highest pick and that they'd see if they could get something out for Christmas (though I looked at the responses and Ouran High School Host Club was definitely the top answer). Amazon.ca is now listing a set of volumes 1-10 which will include a "special Cross Academy Day Class Planner" and be released on November 16th (and yes, the title on amazon.ca is completely lol worthy). This makes me think they've had it in the plans for a while now and were just asking on twitter to tease (and possibly see reactions).

~Found a listing for the box set on Simon & Schuster, with an image of the box, so it looks pretty definite.

~Also, Vampire Knight editor Nancy Thistlethwaite has said on her twitter that she's been working on something that will come out in November (and that it's not a manga, so it could be the planner or it could be something totally different).
