For this roleplay, I will be using the power system. Every level 5 Pokemon will start out with 120 HP. Under the power system, the power of a move will be deducted from the HP pool instead of using the complicated mathematics that go into the actual Pokemon game. For example, under the Power system, scratch has a power of 40. Therefore, when a Level 5 Pokemon hits another level 5 Pokemon normally without critical hits, the hit Pokemon will have 80 HP left. Similarly, if a move like Earthquake (power of 100) was used, that level 5 Pokemon will have 20 HP left.

So um. For the rolling the dice thing. DO we roll the dice first and then type up the post? emotion_8c I haven't managed to wrap my head around how that works.

Yeah, guild posting is slightly different and not as forgiving as forum coding. XD I had the same reaction when I first started with guilds.

For the dice block rolling, in order to save space on the threads, what most of us do is set up a dice dump thread in our Journals. The purpose of this is just to keep our dice rolls and the effects of such in one place. This way you can put all rounds of one battle in one post.
As for side-effect Status conditions, like a Burn from an Ember attack, let me quote the Battle System:

Attack Side Effects: Roll one 100-sided die per target. Since you can only roll one type of dice-block per post, this should be done in your Journal. The side effect is successful if the number you roll falls below the attack's probability of inflicting the status condition. Side-Effect probabilities are found here. These effects are obviously added onto whatever damage the Pokemon receives from attacks. Using an item to cure any status condition uses one turn, but if the Pokemon cures its status on its own (randomly or through its Ability), this does not consume its turn. If the attack itself misses, the side-effect is not applied.
So you roll a 20-sided die fo the Hit/Miss of the Ember, then you post again with a 100-sided die for the chance of a Burn. If the 100-sided die reads a 1-10, the target is Burned (Ember has 10% chance of Burning). If not, just consider the Hit/Miss of Ember.

You did your post correctly :3 We're just waiting for the intro post of Josh, and then I'll have you all warp to Petalburg City. You will all have items that your character starts out with in your respective games (like, a set number of Pokeballs, a potion or two, etc.). When characters spawn-jump (the name I just came up with now for characters who enter the game in a different location than Littleroot), there is a loud metallic screeching noise like that of the blue screen of death, only louder. And then, the new characters just sort of materialize out of nowhere. There are examples on this page when Kimmy's characters spawn jumped. I should get in a Stephen Stone post, hopefully Intox will get in a Norman post, and you guys can appear right in front of them. They will be there to explain everything to the new characters, much like Birch did to the others in Littleroot.

Jedi and I have been posting in Oldale to catch up.. I was told that my profile was still up and didn't need to send it in again... and Jedi was given the go-ahead to post his...
Both myself and MzAA are in Oldale, and will be posting to enter route 102. I had mentioned in a post earlier on Thursday, (which is also MzAA's most recent post as well) that we weren't going to post due to it being MzAA's Birthday. I'll get a post up today after work, and I'm sure MzAA will post something later tonight after me as well. We should end up in Route 102 from just my own post. And we can try to get farther depending on whenever I get home.
