A n d i e W u f f @Tippy;; Oh wow. eek Guess it was a time for movies!! I've never seen Signs... Want to see District 9... Haven't heard of Fourth Kind. :: Goes to Youtube to look it up :: Just love me the scary movies. mrgreen Signs is really good, in my opinion. It's not so much "scary", it's just really, really creepy. Like, it won't give you nightmares, it'll just make you afraid to even sleep. xD And District 9 is immensely good. I absolutely loved it, and hope that eventually there'll be a sequel.
The Fourth Kind supposedly is based on "an actually research study" someone conducted in Nome, Alaska, as that place has a disproportionately high number of disappearances and alien abductions. Here's the Wiki page for it, that explains it better than I can. xD

Everyone has been saying D9 was amazing...
I wonder if it's still playing? The plot looks awesome, and I'm into that kind of genre.

Bulbasauur Everyone has been saying D9 was amazing... I wonder if it's still playing? The plot looks awesome, and I'm into that kind of genre. It really was amazing. Definitely very original ("In Soviet Russia, humanity enslaves aliens!"), and it leaves you kinda hanging as to how things ended up. Its violence is really graphic (nothing is censored, so when someone blows up, you see the dude blow the ******** up with his guts flying everywhere and junk), but there's only a handful of instances in the entire movie where it's that gore-y.
There's also a mechasuit.
But I dunno if it's still playing. I was at a place with a huge-a** theater today (like, twenty different movies playing on multiple screens) and I didn't see it listed. sad

Baw. I keep seeing the trailer for The Fourth Kind and every time I do, I want to see it more and more. But I know it's way too much to see alone and I have no one to go with. Especially who'll let me cling to them during the intense parts. ; A;

Wanted to use Lickitung's animated sprite, too, but the only way I could flip that was to open up ImageReady and flip each frame manually, which is too much trouble.
