Aww, you didn't have to do extensive research. In the end, the character becomes you! biggrin (I picked Cheren cuz he was closest in personality to me... and kinda resembles me too. XD)
First, you need to complete the profile. Send it to anyone in the admin (on the front page). Once we approve you, post in NYC detailing, not exactly so blandly, who your IRL character is, how he/she got to NYC for the event, and how he/she gets in. Any post in Rockefeller Plaza can be used as a model, but here's mine. I got a bit carried away with the fun of it all. XD After that, I'm not sure if you need to wait to post in the game, because we admins are debating having the newbies start at Petalburg instead of Littleroot since progress is relatively slow through the cities. There are a few others who are new and haven't yet submitted their profiles, so I'll keep you updated on that. Or Kim, or Intox. Once you're in, you can read the battle thread (in the Newbies subforum) and get the lowdown and then develop your own battle/play style!

Are you two waiting on the newbies' profiles to lump-start them all in Petalburg, or are you waiting to get your group there first? Also, what role will Team Magma and Aqua play? Will they have a hand in the disappearances of the old event players?
Team Magma and Aqua have been remarkably absent. What say you we include a little foreshadowing for them? The last person to leave the Woods includes a little paragraph or so on some watcher in the woods who watches the group leave and then leaves himself to report to his leader.
Or you could have them jump the last person out before running back to their leaders, as there are grunts that challenge you in the games

o.o One of us being jumped and challenged. I hope that's not me. In Emerald I recall a man asking for help when an somebody jumps him and and takes papers from the PokeNav corps. We could also do something like that if we wanted.

Yep, I'm waiting to have as many newbies as I can jump into Petalburg at once. And then Norman'll explain everything. As far as grunts are concerned, Intox, can you have this battle be in Petalburg? And yes, they will most certainly have involvement in the disappearances of the characters. Intox can decide to what extent in her post, and we'll all go with that. I included the insidious Aqua Wurmple in my post, if that counts for anything xD

For this roleplay, I will be using the power system. Every level 5 Pokemon will start out with 120 HP. Under the power system, the power of a move will be deducted from the HP pool instead of using the complicated mathematics that go into the actual Pokemon game. For example, under the Power system, scratch has a power of 40. Therefore, when a Level 5 Pokemon hits another level 5 Pokemon normally without critical hits, the hit Pokemon will have 80 HP left. Similarly, if a move like Earthquake (power of 100) was used, that level 5 Pokemon will have 20 HP left.
