Before Isto could react, Slush was up on his shoulder and...hugging his neck, and nuzzling his cheek. That was..rather awkward. But then, was it really? Acia would have done the same, he though. Acia and Slush were a lot alike... Probably why he liked the kid so much. He smiled faintly at Slush's words, reaching his normal hand up to scratch the infant behind his ears, nodding slightly in agreement. "Ahh, don't worry about it. Just brought up some bad memories, s'all... You didn't mean to." ((You can come visit and when she's out o town... But I don't think Moo would be too happy if you just moved in with me... *She moved him so she was half on her shoulder and hugged and petted his back.* Moo, love surpasses race, gender, sex, and species. XD )) I won't mention potato salad again if you just be happy.... I promise. *Slush hated seeing people sad, it made him sad as well and being sad was never fun., so he continued to hug Sharkie's neck, purring lightly as he scratched behind his ears.*

Chuckling softly, Isto grinned, glancing sideways to Slush. "S'a deal then.. No more potato salad, and I'll stay happy, alright?" Still chuckling softly, he spared a glance to XBear, curious to her reaction from the conversation.

((Woo, I'm going to get visitors! heart *She hugged him back and rubbed behind his ears softly.* Aadil must be drunk off his a** then... >.> <.< And there must be a video camera.... whee heart )) Deal! *X had just been watching the conversation quietly, surprised at how well Slush had calmed down Isto, though she understood, Slush had a knack for being able to make you smile through your tears. She gave Isto a faint smile when he looked at her, not really knowing what else to do.* I find that it's hard to look at him without cracking a smile, no matter how small... Funny how children can do that...

XD, Heck, let's get 'em both drunk. It's be more interesting that way. *Eyes Isto* I'm not sure he's ever had alcohol... If he has, he hasn't told me.))
Nodding slightly in reply, Isto watched the infant SM out of the corner of his eye, commenting just over a whisper. "Aye, I know what you mean... Sadly, there'll be a little less light in the world soon enough, what with them...discontinuing the Skull Monkeys." The last bit came out a bit more bitterly than he'd intended... But really, could you blame him?"

*Slush had been slowly falling asleep as the two of them talked, looking over at the Dooominator to make sure he was asleep, she sighed and shook her head.*
I don't know how I'm going to tell him he's the last of his kind... or when either. I'm lucky I got him, and he's really lucky that he's going to make it to fifth stage as well, thanks to the fact that I autobought him at the last auction... But there's nothing we can do about it... sadly...
*She kept her voice low, as to not wake up the sleeping Slush on Isto's shoulder.*
((*Scruffs his hair, cooing softly.* XD

He sighed softly, shaking his head in disgust, careful to keep his voice quiet when he spoke. "Poor kid... Aye, he's lucky to get fifth stage, but... How can they just end everything? We're not even their...species. They can't just...put a stop to our existance..."

They can't just...put a stop to our existance..." *She looked a bit saddened for a moment, but looked down at the sleeping Slush in Isto's arms and smiled softly, reaching out and scratching Slush's belly softly before continuing again.* I don't think what QS is doing is right, I mean... she's stopping breeding... So even if you find someone you love... it won't as much matter because you can't further the bond by raising children of your own. It... it just makes me sad.

(( ninja heart )) ...It hurts.*She finished simply, not knowing if that really was his thoughts, but they was hers at the moment. She didn't know what she would do if her and her husband couldn't further their family, whether it be by adoption or by blood. It'd be a strain for a while, and it'd be a huge hole in the relationship, but things would work out. But the SM's couldn't adopt OR have kids, they were killing them... slowly. She shook her head and looked at him.* I'm sorry... If Moo's not home and you and Banda ever feel lonely, yall are both welcome at my house... kay? I'm sure Slush would love it if yall visited too...

The House gets a bit dull at times... I'd like to be able t' see Slush some more... Nice kid, and there are so few left... It's a relief, I guess."

The House gets a bit dull at times... I'd like to be able t' see Slush some more... Nice kid, and there are so few left... It's a relief, I guess." *She gave him a comforting smile as she reached over and rubbed his shoulder lightly, before wrapping the arm around him and pulling him into a light hug, making sure not to disturb Slush in his sleep. It was an awkward hug, but hopefully it helped to some degree.* Anyways, you can always come to me if you need to talk, see Slush, meet the husband if you want... steal some apple pie...

He was about to reply when X pulled him into a hug... Blinking back his surprise, he smilied faintly, wrapping him free arm, which happened to be the metal one, lightly around her to return the hug. "Thanks... I think I will... I'm sure I will sooner or later, anyway. I really appreciate it... Apple pie, hmm?" He chuckled softly, stepping out of her embrace. "Slush mentioned that earlier. Very tempting."

Very tempting." ((Yay! heart I feel special! Isto is teh coolist.)) Well I'm not much of fan of apple pie, but Slush, Monkey, and my stepson Colten all adore it to no end, so I end up stealing Monkey's for the other two to pig out on. Oh and don't mention it, everyone needs a place to hide from their central life every once in a while....*She lowered her voice to a whisper and looked around all mock-paranoid like before speaking again.* Mine and Slush's is the huge orchard behind my house, apparently... back when I was... human, I used to do a lot of keepin' up with the family's gardens... I like to go there and think... or sleep...

Isto raised his metal hand to his heart, fixing a serious expression on his face. "I'll never tell a soul." He momentarily fell silent, then gestured vaguely towards the forest. "Mine's in the forest near the House... Not that forest persay, but it may have once been part of it." He didn't bother to whisper. He wasn't being very specific, so what was the point? No one could find him if he didn't want to be found. "S'nice there... 'Cept, I was attacked by gnomes once, so it's not entirely safe..." He trail of, grinning sheepishly. "Fun, though."
