Dorian had just finished changing. He had put on a captain hat and then put on his leather coat over his shirt as he put his leather black boots on. Dorian aged very well and putting these clothes on made him look a tad bit younger as he looked like he did when he met Sikari...well a bit older but still. He turned and looked at his boys when he walked in and he knew that Sikari had said yes and so he would be bringing their son along. A smile grew on his face as he kissed his love back and nodded occasionally at him. "Don't worry, I'll bring him back to you in one piece, I promise." He smiled and kissed him again but before letting Sikari walk away, he grabbed Sikari and pulled him back and knew Sorrel would whine and look away since Dorian took some time to make out with Sikari. He wasn't going to leave without holding on to his beloved and showing his affection. He finally pulled away before playfully licking the males lips. "We'll be back soon, I don't want to be gone too long." He smiled and caressed Sikari's cheeks before letting him go. Dorian turned and watched his partner stop at the door and give his final warning as he nodded. He wasn't ready to worry Sikari again, he still remembered those five years they spent a part and he did not want to cause so much pain to his beloved husband.

Finally with Sikari gone, he walked out with Sorrel onto the deck as they were now ready to set sail. "Alright son, time to learn how to sail the sea's like your old man." He grinned and patted his shoulders as he began to bark orders to his crew as they soon start to sail off. Dorian turned and took his hat off and waved it in the air a bit to say his goodbye's to the villagers and Sikari.

"We'll be out at sea for a week, should be enough to teach you all the basics and hopefully please you and you'll stop bugging me when we get back home." He teased Sorrel and began to show the boy around and what things were called and for now Sorrel was put as the lowest rank and that keeping the ship clean. It was only fair since his crew had to work their way up to their current positions and he would not give his son special treatment, much like his father never gave him special treatment.

Sorrel didn't mind that he had to start at the bottom, and with that he worked hard. Of course he fumbled a bit in the beginning but it didn't take him too long to get the hang of things, plus he already got along great with the crew so no one really gave him a hard time. A week seemed to pass in no time- and soon they were docking in a place Dorian said was Scotland. The moment they stepped off the boat Sorrel was bombarded with rules and even had someone assigned to keep watch over him...like that would work.

After awhile of simply following everyone around he got...well, bored- he wanted to see what things were really like here and well... Kind of got swept away in the crowd by 'accident'. 'Hope pops doesn't get too mad... I'll be back in a jiffy' he stated mentally, though after an hour or so it became very clear to him that...he was lost. "Well... s**t" He murmured under his breath- finding that not even the greenery here could help him much considering that he was foreign to it and it was foreign to him. Though that didn't stop the plants from speaking to him- in a very enthusiastic manner. Letting him know about the things the people here did that upset or hurt them- and the things that people did that overjoyed him. Voices from one direction in general seemed to be louder...and so Sorrel followed them.

He came across a large wall, which he easily scaled- wondering why it would be there in the first place as he dropped down into a very lush garden. Instantly he was reminded of home- though the plants here were very different from those on the island "Wow... Aren't you all just spectacular" He breathed, crouching down in front of a bush filled with vibrant green leaves and small white flower that bloomed in clusters. "Nice to meet you all" He added, forgetting his troubles for the moment.

An added bonus to his uniqueness was the fact that animals didn't mind him- as if he were a part of nature itself and after a while of simply sitting down on a patch of grass, a squirrel had come to sleep against his out stretched legs, and a few curious birds hopped about in the bushes near his head. Finally it dawned on him that he had to get home- but.... he didn't know where to go and a troubled frown tugged at his lips "Say... do any of you know the way back to the ocean?" he questioned- not really thinking about the fact that this place was so well tended, that there had to be people taking care of it... He was just so fixated on all the new things.

His gaze then moved to the sky, finding that the sun way already starting to get low against the horizon 'Dads going to kill me.....' he cringed outwardly at the thought, lifting a hand to fiddle with the feathers adoring the chain around his neck. "I'm so dead" He muttered "No more adventures for me" He added, his mood suddenly turning sour- words of encouragement rose up around him- bringing him back to the garden, and a small smile pulled at his lips "Thanks everyone- but you haven't met my parents. I'll be nineteen soon and this is the first time they let me leave the island.... and I got lost... I'll have to wait until i'm thirty to get out of there again! That is.. If I can manage to get back..."

"I'm going to kill that boy..."

"Yeah...better do it before your husband kills you first," His crew member said as Dorian let out a heavy sigh and banged his head on his desk and finished the letter.

"Head back and give it to him...It explains that we'll be a bit late...and that Sorrel decided to make my life miserable by running off! THAT STUPID BOY!" Dorian was clearly angry as he now had to start a search party.

====================================================

Meanwhile a rather pale male stared into a mirror as he smacked away a woman's hand. "I can brush my own hair Gertrude, leave me be," he sounded clearly frustrated as the female servant nodded and left the room as he sighed and shook his head. He finished fixing his hair and made sure his shirt was smooth and then pushed the wheels back as he was sitting and it was clear that he was in a wheel chair, his legs paralyzed. Gregory had been born with useless legs and so he had never known the joys of walking and growing he always had to watch the other children run around and have fun. It was no surprise that he grew cold and introverted because of this. With a heavy sigh he wheeled himself out of his room and made his way toward the kitchen to get a snack. He didn't want to sit in his room and let his thoughts take him back to the pains of growing up alone with no friends.

However as he rolled toward the kitchen, Greg's ears caught the sound of someone talking. It was distant but he knew it was coming from the garden. Turning his wheel chair he rolled his way down toward the back door to see who was back there. His parents were away and only Gertrude was here to take care of him. Due to the weather he had a blanket on his lap to keep him warm as he finally made his way out the door and down the cobble stone path made just for him. It didn't take him long to stop and see a guy around his age sitting on the floor...talking to his plants.

Greg didn't say anything as he watched the male for a moment. Finally he made his presence known, "I can get the police here to take you away for trespassing. Those are my flowers...you can't steal them." He glared as he sat there, his hands gripping the wheels as he was unsure if the stranger would attack...he seemed pretty crazy.

"Gertrude!" He yelled out to get the servant out here just in case the strange guy decided to do something stupid.

"Yes Master Gregory?" The woman said as she walked out and followed where his voice was heard and spotted him as well as the stranger. She stood behind Greg as she waited to see what he wanted her to do. However Greg was waiting to hear the strangers excuse.

Aquamarine eyes darted to the male- he hadn't even noticed him...perhaps it was because the wheel chair did not make the noises of a person and thus he had thought it was just another strange contraption going off... he'd heard many new things today. It took him a moment to register what the male had said, the squirrel at his leg suddenly jumping up and scampering up his clothes- settling behind his neck as it chattered nervously next to his ear. "-yuṁ" He cooed, which would have translated to 'hush' in English. it took a moment, but the nervous animal seemed to settle a bit, it's tail still twitching nervously as it remained still.

He then turned his gaze to the man in the chair- pursing his lips for a moment as he took in his appearance. "I don't... know these people you're talking about. And you can't own flowers- they grow where they want, spread their seeds and live out their life span just like people. It's silly to think that they are yours when they are their own beings." He stated in a matter of fact tone, not at all worried when he called out for someone and a woman came rushing to his aid.

"Anyways- It would be a hassle to move them, I just wanted to say hello. " He added, having no idea that people 'owned' land here. The island was owned by no man- everyone was entitled to its riches. "Thinking they are yours... are all people like you? It seems silly" He murmured, turning away to crouch in front of a slightly wilted flower- his brows furrowing slightly. "Come on now- you have to lean a bit further to the right- the light is better there" He muttered- and nothing seemed to happen for a moment. That is until the flower actually seemed to shift- as if his words had reached it. The moment the sunlight touched it's petals it seemed to perk up quite a bit "there, you're very lovely so you should do your best to shine" He chuckled, turning his gaze back to the two.

"They are very happy here though" He stated in a chipper manner as he stood up, letting the squirrel scurry down his body and up a near by tree.

"Ah but! Those ones" He stated, pointing to a patch of bright blue flowers "They need to be moved away from the bush on their right- it's taking too much nutrients from the soil around them and they're struggling, plus they could use a bit more water. Then their color should improve." he rambled on, unable to really help himself.

Gregory was not at all amused or happy about this stranger and how he was speaking to him about his flowers. His flowers was all he had as companions after all and he had grown this whole garden on his own..it was how he was able to live each day without thinking about rolling into the ocean and letting himself drown. His eyes watched the male but let him spew out his opinions as he was raised with manners and was taught not to speak when someone else was speaking. So finally when the male had stopped talking, he finally spoke out.

"I said those are my flowers, I didn't say 'I own those flowers'. I grew them myself and I care for them daily and I have a right to say those are my flowers. Just like people say 'those are my friends'." His eyes then glanced over to the flowers the male was talking about as he let out a heavy sigh and shook his head.

"I can't move them myself...my ignorant mother had them planted there even after I told her not to. I'm aware and agree that they take up a lot of nutrients...so much so that the Lilacs I had growing there had to be moved. I can't have anyone uproot them and move them now...they're too stupid and will kill the flowers instead and so it's best to leave them there. I was going to water my plants today now that you mention it though I water them as much as I can and without drowning them. Judging by your accent you aren't around here so you don't know me and my nickname from the other 'boys' in this down." He narrowed his eyes and hissed out, "Flower boy" as he shook his head and looked back at the stranger.

"You may leave for now Gertrude," He figured the strange boy was not dangerous and Greg found him interesting due to his knowledge of plants which he could find no one in this town who knew as much as he did. He watched as the woman nodded and left.

He turned his attention back to the male, "Where are you from stranger? And what is your name? I am Gregory." He spoke like a rich mannered man since that's what he was. He was turning twenty-one tomorrow and he was sure his foolish parents were going to throw him a party that he would be forced to attend even though he hated people because they always pitied him.

Sorrel listened to the male, before he let a bright smile light up his face "If that's what you mean, then I understand why they like you so much. They got noisy as soon as you spoke up" He chimed, his gaze moving to the flowers again "Well.. I can move them. The flowers behind the tree over here would do just fine in their place. They don't need as much nutrients from the soil" He stated easily, watching as the woman was dismissed, though she seemed reluctant to leave him alone with Sorrel.

He pursed his lips at all the question , cocking his head ever so slightly... he wasn't allowed to talk about the island- it tended to make the island a target. "I can't say where I'm from- Promised I wouldn't. But my name is Sorrel! It's nice to meet you Gregory!" He chimed, not really thinking about his actions as he walked forwards and crouched in front of the male, unable to help himself as he inspected the chair curiously. He didn't even seem bothered by the fact that Greg was crippled... he'd never really put much stock in things like that- especially because the medicine woman back home usually helped people with those disabilities. She was a miracle maker after all.

"This thing is weird." He finally concluded as he stood up and wandered over to the flowers he had been talking about earlier, inspecting the soil they were planted in. "But... you don't have medicine women here do you? she's amazing you know. I was born from a flower- using both of my fathers genes... They say that's why I can hear them.... and why they react to me" He stated, as if it were the most casual kind of conversation one could have.

He sighed as his gaze moved up to the sky "Can't do it now- moving them in the dark would be too hard on them" He grumbled, turning his gaze back to Gregory. "I should probably find somewhere to stay until I can get back to Dorian...." He muttered softly to himself, "So I should excuse myself. If I can find a good tree somewhere I can sleep there for the night" He voiced, quite content with the idea of sleeping outside.

Gregory watched and listened to the stranger who called himself Sorrel, taking note of his name. He tilted his head to the side and watched with interest with how odd this guy was. The things he said made no sense and for a moment he was sure this guy had some form of mental illness. He confirmed that Sorrel was mentally ill when he said he was born from a flower. That was impossible and ridiculous but he would not laugh or even bring up the absurdity of what the guy was saying since he knew what it felt to be laughed at. He just went with the flow and continued to listen as he now went on about how he had to find some place to sleep. Gregory honestly never had much human company especially another male as he was sick of Gertrude.

Therefore he seized the opportunity. "Perhaps you would like to stay in my home for the night? My parents won't return until the morning and I would like to learn more about how you speak with flowers." He would play along as he didn't really believe that Sorrel could talk to plants after all. That was silly. He then turned his wheel chair and started to wheel himself toward the door.

"This way," He said as he hoped Sorrel would follow along. "This thing is called a Wheel Chair...helps me get around. My legs don't work." He said it as if he had gotten used to it. As a child growing up he constantly had to tell children what it was as they always asked it since he was the only person in this town that had useless legs.

Gregory rolled inside the house and lead him to the kitchen where Gertrude was preparing dinner. "We will have a guest tonight so be sure to prepare my guest a plate." He then rolled over to the spot at the table that had no chair as he sat there and ate some bread that Gertrude left along with a slab of butter so he could eat that too.

"Feel free to have some bread," He said as he looked at Sorrel and motioned for him to sit.

Sorrel listened to the male speak, instantly sensing that the male didn't believe a word he was saying, but he kept that to himself. "You're awfully trusting towards someone you just met" He mused, flashing the other a kind smile "But if you are willing to take the risk then I'll gladly take you up on the offer" He added, deciding to follow along behind Gregory at first, that is until he picked up the pace to walk along side him, he always found it more comfortable to walk with someone, not behind them. "So you don't have medicine women then. She'd never leave someone unable to walk" He voiced as Gregory wheeled himself over to his spot at the table.

He took a seat at the table as well, helping himself to a piece of bread when it was offered to him, remembering the manners Sikari had taught him "Thank you for your hospitality."

With that he munched on the bread, finding that the grains were sweater than what he was used to- but it was tasty. He took note of the potted flowers inside as well- and if one was to pay attention they would notice how they subtly shifted towards him, as if drawn to his very presence. "These ones are happy as well" He sighed contently, resting his hands on his lap when he finished his piece of bread and looking around the room. It was odd how they constructed their homes here. Sure Dorian and his crew had helped to make the homes on the island more durable and modern- but they were still nothing like this.

"I ended up in your garden because the plants were so loud- happier than anything outside of the wall at least. They say you're really kind to them- and they hope you're not over working yourself for their sakes..." He murmured nonchalantly, letting his gaze fall to the table as if he were lost in his own little world- but he was simply listening. "When the...what are they...ah- rose bush came into bloom they said you were really happy, and...OH!! It's your birthday tomorrow?" He stated, totally going off on a tangent now- but what surprised him was the fact that his had just passed. "Mine was a few days ago. I'm Nineteen now" He stated, pointing to himself with a big smile. He felt comfortable with this boy- almost as comfortable as he was when he was in the forest back home... it was a relief to find comfort in a land he found so...strange.

"Other than trying to take a bath on my own, I don't get chances to take risks I suppose," Greg replied with a subtle sigh while he continued to eat the bread as he had fallen silent for a while as he sat there also lost in his own thoughts. Of course his attention was grabbed with Sorrel brought up how the flowers hoped he didn't push himself physically for their sake and more surprised when he said how happy he was when the rose bush had bloomed, but the shocking part was how he knew it was his birthday tomorrow. He set his bread down and looked at Sorrel. Could he really speak to plants? He had to test him.

"I suppose knowing my birthday can be discovered in other means...so how about you ask the plants to tell you about something only I told them." Considering that Gregory spent a lot of time spilling his secrets and his thoughts to the plants as if they were friends listening to his problems and his thoughts. One of the things he spoke to the plants about was on the days he felt the lowest and the darkness of sorrow consuming him. He had spoken to his flowers about how he was ready to end his life and how he planned on eating a sack full of seeds poisonous to the human body so that when he died and was buried, flowers could then grow from his rotting body. That wash how he planned on dying.

Gregory sat there and waited as he looked at the plant to see how it had indeed shifted as it was facing toward Sorrel and he noticed plenty of other plants doing the same as he was slowly starting to think that he could actually communicate with plants. What a lucky gift.

Sorrel froze up for a moment, he wanted him to prove it? "something you told only them... I don't... " He voiced, cutting himself off as he looked down at his lap, his brows furrowing slightly. He didn't like doing that... he didn't like knowing about all the secrets of other people- but people never really thought that the plants were listening, they never realized that they would remember. He gritted his teeth for a moment, before he let his thoughts go with the ebb and flow of the plants- and he was able to pick out exactly what he didn't want to find. "Th-they wouldn't be happy if you did that... They would grieve, and the flowers that would bloom would be soiled. Poisoning you're body would be the same as poisoning the earth. They will gladly accept you when it's your time though" He murmured, knowing that his voice had taken a hushed tone but again, he didn't like speaking of things that were not meant for his ears.

"Please...don't ask me to ask them these kinds of things.... It hurts" he stated, looking up from his lap finally with a slightly pained expression on his face. "I'm sorry but... I don't think I have much of an appetite now" He continued softly, dropping his gaze again. When he had been younger it had been worse- when he had brought up things he wasn't supposed to hear. That had made him a few enemies- but Sikari and Dorian had always been there to cheer him up and help him with his gift.

He swallowed hard as he shifted his hands a bit- not really feeling up to...anything, anymore. That was too sad- why take your own life? Why not try to live your life to the fullest and push past any handicaps you may have.

It was confirmed now. Gregory couldn't deny that Sorrel had a gift as no one knew about his one of many suicidal thoughts that he only shared with his flowers. He sighed and nodded, "Yes well I also knew that if I left too soon, there would be no one to take care of my garden." His eyes looked up from the bowl of bread as he looked at Sorrel and realized how it had affected him. He sat up straighter and pushed away his own feelings of sadness.

"I apologize greatly for making you do that. It just seemed so unreal that someone would be gifted like you are. However it is nice to know that my flowers have listened to me and that they don't hate me. But please..don't feel disheartened and I would very much like it if you join me for dinner. Gertrude makes a delicious beef stew with plenty of vegetables." He took a deep breath and took another bite of bread.

"I'm content with my life I suppose, but I would be lying if I said I was happy. Perhaps some day...technology will progress to where people like me can do more. For now...I'm trapped in this chair. I was born this way...and so..I have no memories of walking or running. I don't know what that must feel like. Is it liberating? It looks very...liberating." He smiled a bit as he turned his head and started to cough a bit. Aside from behind paralyzed, he also had a bad immune system and so he tended to get sick a lot.

"You said you can't tell me where you're from...can you at least tell me what your home looks like? Are there lots of tree's and plants?" He smiled and tried to change the subject to something more light hearted.

Well, Sorrel could understand what the male felt, he was used to the scepticism after all. Slowly he nodded- knowing that it would be a nice change from the salted meats they ate on the shop during the voyage. He felt a pang in his chest when the male spoke over being content, and the fact that he had never walked or had the chance to run.. he couldn't imagine it. He loved to run until his lungs burned for more air than he could intake. He was snapped out of his thoughts when the male asked him about where he was from- a small smile tugging at his lips as he thought of his home.

"It's green, much greener than here. There aren't walls like the one around the plants here, or chemicals clouding the sky. It's dangerous and their are wild animals everywhere. But it's beautiful, and the sunrise from the beach is always a sight to see..." He voiced, completely caught up in the thought of the island...which made him realize that he loved his home more than he had realized. He was privileged to live in such a place.

"Hey...... I don't know about technology but......" He murmured, his brows furrowing slightly as his mind turned over ideas - would he get in trouble for offering his? But it was too sad...to leave Gregory like this- he was a good person. Why? Because the plants let him know. "I think.... Our Medicine woman could help you. I believe...you could walk- not just that but jog, run, dance, jump...... but..........you'd have to come back to the island and it's a long ways away and.......... sorry I'm rambling" He breathed, knowing that this probably sounded far fetched but he knew that the medicine woman could help him.

"I saw her heal a child who was attacked by a wild cat before- she had her spine damaged and in a few days the girls was up and walking again... Luckily Dad as there to shoot the jaguar down."

As Sorrel described his home, it sounded very beautiful and listening to the description Greg began to wonder if it was some kind of island. Now that he thought about it, the male did have a slight tan and his accent was that of an islander, but question was, what island? He couldn't answer since Sorrel already stated that he couldn't talk about it and it was a bit disappointed that he couldn't know because he wanted to look it up on the world map to see how far it was from here. He looked at the male when he mentioned how some medicine woman back in his home could help him. He had mixed feelings rush through his mind all at once. His eyes quickly darted to Gertrude to make sure the woman didn't hear and luckily she hadn't.

Biting on his lip he wasn't sure. Maybe...With the shake of his head he muttered his reply, "I think it's best that I not travel anywhere. I'm not the healthiest of people...and I'm currently ill...and traveling will make me feel worse. Perhaps when I'm feeling better. I'll think about it." He gave a nod and looked to the woman as she served them the bowl of stew.

"Thank you," He replied to her as she nodded and went off to her quarters for the time being. Again he had coughed, putting a napkin over his mouth while he coughed. After his coughing fit he mumbled an 'excuse me' and then started to eat, the warm stew feeling good going down his esophagus. Tea was also served to them as he put some honey in his so he could drink his tea after eating though Greg didn't eat much especially when he was sick. After four spoon fulls of stew he pushed his bowl aside and just took sips of his tea.

Sorrel watched his gaze dart to the woman- was this something she wasn't supposed to hear? Well... he could understand that. "Then....I'll help you get better." He stated simply, his gaze moving to Gertrude as she brought the stew out "Thank you miss" He voiced politely, before turning his gaze to Gregory. He'd have to find some thing for that cough...and to increase the males appetite. He wouldn't get any better if he didn't eat enough. Lemon would help stimulate the appetite, perhaps a glass of water with lemon juice in the morning. Perhaps Echinacea tea with lemon instead? To help flush out the sickness and increase his appetite.... Yes, that would probably be a good idea.

"Do you have Echinacea here? Tea made from Echinacea with some lemon in it each morning would do you a lot of good- though I would suggest drinking Echinacea tea all day really. It will flush out the sickness." He stated, having learned from the medicine woman...after all, who better to take on as an apprentice than someone who could communicate with nature and figure out exactly what plants would help. He then turned his attention to his own food, taking his time to savour the taste as it had been a week since he'd had anything really...decent. "You're right...the stew is good"

When he finished off his bowl and was satisfied- he went to stand, collecting his bowl as he was used to cleaning up after himself "Where do I put this?" he inquired, looking to Gregory quizzically. So far he'd seen the kitchen and garden- but he wasn't entirely sure of where things needed to go. After all, it wasn't like they had running tap water on the island.

"I believe we have some in the cupboard above the stove...not something I can reach really." He moved his wheel chair back and put his bowl on his lap and carefully rolled over to the sink where he set it down. "Put it in here, my servant will come over and wash it later." He nodded before rolling back a bit as he sat in front of the stove and then pointed up at the cupboard since Sorrel had asked if there was any Echinacea tea. "We have all our teas up there, I'm sure we have some if you'd like to check."

Greg rolled out of the way and wheeled himself over back to the table as he sat there and continued to take sips of the tea he already had. Again he covered his mouth to cover and muffle his coughing fit. He had pneumonia a week ago and was getting over that now. Greg certainly hated his weak and cursed body.

He then thought about the sleeping arrangements. "We have a guest bedroom you can sleep in tonight however if you are more comfortable outside, then you can sleep on the hammock. I tend to lay there on warm and breezy days."
