Ari nodded,, wishing that she could verbally communicate. She would very much prefer being in her body, but it wouldn't help now.

 Walking into the Throne room, Ari looked around a little nervously. The room was very big and empty. The candles lighting it only served to add to the eerie feeling.

Crux opened the large doors to the Throne Room and looked around. Spotting Ari, the servant crossed the room and gave a small bow. "Ah, I'm glad that I have found you, my Queen." Carefully shutting and locking the doors, he explained his purpose there. "Ryn has returned, but there is something different about him. He has already killed others outside the castle. I fear that he is here on orders of Nyx."

The girl jumped at Crux's sudden appearance, but brightened at Ryn being mentioned.
"Ryn is here? He's alright?"
As Crux explained further, her face fell.
"Nyx...he went back to her..."
Ari looked to the floor, clutching at the pendant.

After making sure that the doors were secure, the vampire went to check the high windows. "Yes, and that is why we must take some precautions. Your guards are already in positions to secure the castle, and to protect you at all costs." As soon as he had finished, Crux returned back to her side. "We will not let him get through. I know that he was once a friend, but I have seen this change with my own eyes. He is not the Ryn that you once knew."

Biting her bottom lip, the girl nodded solemnly.
"I understand...thank you Crux..."
She felt numb as she looked once more at the darkness that was to be her life from now on, and at the cursed pendant that had made it so. She knew that trying to remove it would only be a wasted effort. It was as the voice inside the necklace had said. She had to let go of whatever humanity she had left and embrace the destiny that had been chosen for her. Shakily she walked up to the large throne in the middle of the room and took a seat hesitantly.

Like many of the other inhabitants of the castle, Crux was not accustomed to much in the ways of emotion. He understood the basic concepts as well as how they were portrayed in music, yet even these were simple emotions such as anger, fear, and happiness. He stayed in one spot as the new Queen ascended to the throne, unsure whether or not to attempt consoling her. Instead, he idly played a small tune on his flute while awaiting further orders.

At the large doors to the Throne Room, Tuomas paused and nodded to the guards.
"Damien, sir, should I place magical wards around the outside and inside of the room?"

"Both, just in case." Damien nodded to the guards while they returned with a salute. "Better to be safe than sorry."

"Alright. I will begin working on them right away."
Stepping to the side of the door Tuomas took a dagger and pricked his thumb with the small blade. Putting it away, the youth began to make intricate symbols on the door frame. As he finished with one side, he moved to do the same with the other.

"Will you stay here with the queen? Seeing that your turret has been destroyed, where will you go?" Damien looked around. "I may have to check around the castle and get a report. I also would like to still search for the captain."

Tuomas finished his work on the outer walls and bowed to the Lieutenant.
"Of course. I will remain here and help in any way that I can."
