As Hedera-Rose stepped into CandyCane Lane, hearing the words "...JingleBerry waits," she promptly hid behind a tree and squeaked in a terrified manner. "Oh, oh my gosh," the demon whispered to herself, peeking out and switching to thinking, this is not good! There's a ninja and it probably BEAT THEM ALL UP ohmygosh ohmygosh-

If "JingleBerry" the ninja was still there, they'd hear what appeared to be hyperventilating coming from behind a (thankfully) unmoving tree. Nobody ever said that short little ghouls couldn't breathe loudly!

The ninja glances once in her direction, and makes makes a come get some gesture. His killing intent alone takes away 18 HP.

Congratulations, you are now battling the ninja.

As she continues to hide behind the tree, the ninja gives a soft laugh and swings a sword toward her. As she dissipates, he gives her a small wave. "Bye, bye!"

A piece of paper floats down on Candycane Lane, though no student had arrived.

It looked like a card, though now there was a footprint on it. Still, it was pretty easily readable.

Who on earth would be stupid enough to make a card apologizing for walking on a lane after she was brutally defeated?

The card is gone by the time CandyCane Lane gets new visitors.

"Kidnap the Sandy Claws, lock him up real tight!"

Two figures trudge through the snow, nearing the end of CandyCane Lane. The shorter of the two pulls a large red bag several times his size behind him while singing cheerfully.

"Throw away the key and then-"

"SHUT. IT."

"But...but it's tradition! Well...it would be if we succeeded more often..."

"Succeed? You just tagged along, this is the Academy's victory. My victory."

The smaller one's tail droops at this, "The Trick-or-Treaters have been working on this for years, you know...if Knox were here..."

"Yes, Mr. Firth would no doubt have been of much more use in this venture."

The tail droops further, "The deer weren't my fault you know...ah...Ma'am?" He pauses and then looks around curiously, "Wasn't there supposed to be a ninja around here?"

"My dependably foolish students have drawn him away for the moment. Though perhaps he has heard your little song and even now..." Her voice dwindles as she watches the flitterbic practically run toward the forest. When the large bag hits a rock and gives out a pained grunt, Hellma smiles and the shadows of Christmas grow a little larger, a little darker. "It is well done."

( Amrita's HP: 11 )

Somewhere in the middle of Candycane Lane, a little Undead girl lay unmoving. The blast from the warehouse had sent her to a place she hadn't been on this journey, but that thought had yet to cross her mind. In fact, nothing was crossing her mind. She was quite passed out from the impact with the snowy ground...or perhaps just the stress. Heck, maybe both!

What did wake her up was the feel of little somethings hitting her face. It vaguely smelled like those peppermint things that had been pelted at them in the yellow door. It was just enough to start to wake her up, but she still took her dear sweet time opening her eye. The world was fuzzy, her body was in pain, and the sky was raining with that cold and wet 'snow' stuff, and those little peppermint things.

What a weird thing to rain from the sky.

"Nnn..." She groaned, slowly blinking her eye completely open, and then willing herself to sit up. It was a tough process, her stiff limbs cracking and groaning with the effort. Being away from home for so long, plus all the getting tossed around she was doing, was taking it's toll. Her entire body was sore, but more importantly...was she alone?!

"Ah!" She squeaked out, her spine giving a final SNAP as she sat up completely straight all of a sudden. "LIZZY?! PETRO?!" Amrita cried out in clear distress, calling each of her friend's names as loudly as she could, not caring who she attracted. Tahki, Christof, Johan, Julian, Lucien, Livi, everyone from the Yellow Door...where were they?! Was she alone?!

Tears threatening to spill (hey, it'd been a terribly long, sleepless and stressful few days, she was at the end of her rope!), Amrita climbed back to her feet, her tired aching limbs still cracking and popping, still calling out for her friends.

She didn't want to be alone...where was everyone?!

((Petro HP: 11
Weapon: Snowball cannon
Pumpkin pill: 1))

With a groan, the monster horse woke to the smell of mint, the feeling of being pelted, and the sound of crying. He slowly got to his feet, shaking his head clear of the spots dancing before his eyes. Equine ears twitched as he listened to the voice, eventually recognizing it as Amrita. Was she in trouble? She sounded like she was. Hooved feet made no sound as he tracked her down, lugging his things (they had miraculously stayed with him) with little effort. More of those peppermint candies had fallen into his backpack (which he'd left open, tsk, tsk, Tro that's not very safe).

"Amrita? 'S that you?" he called out, hoping it was her. He didn't realize where he was despite the row of candy canes he was passing by as he searched for the undead ghoul. Jack damn it, he thought the battle was over and truth be told, he was looking forward to a bit of rest.

Her name. She heard her name. She swore she heard her name! Her spine made that twisted popping sound again as she spun around towards the sound of the voice. It was a male voice. A male voice she recognized...and a vaguely familiar shape in the distance. Hopefully she wasn't hearing or seeing things thanks to the disgusting JOY in the area!

"Petro!" Amrita cried out in relief, making a break for her friend and running as fast as her backwards feet could take her. Sadly she fell several times, tripped a few more, but eventually she ended up at the Tikbalang, hugging onto him as tightly as she had in the firey yellow door...and ignoring his lack of clothing, like she had in the door.

"I...IwassoscaredIthoughtIwasaloneandIdon'trememberthisplaaaaace..." She cried into his side, completely stressed past all reasoning. Despite being a teenager, her borrowed body was a child, and that body was sore, tired, beaten up and shaken past all comfort. She'd had enough, she couldn't and didn't want to take anymore of this.

"I want to go hoooome!" She cried once more, thankfully muffled now.

Barth found himself crushed into another snowbank. The heavy odor of peppermint was overwhelming, and worked better on the demon than smelling salt would have.

With a measly 2 HP left, Barth took a leisurely visual inventory of the place he had landed.

Yep.

Candy Cane Lane.

He wasn't usually a fan of being hasty, but in this case, it was time to pop a pumpkin pill and get the hell out of dodge.

Now feeling a lot healthier, he scrambled upright and forward.

"Yes," he said to someone's loud wailing, "Home. Let's go. Keep it down." Unfortunately Barth's scrambling was still more like a trudge.

Tro himself seemed to have been worse for wear after that explosion in the warehouse and being flung to Jack-knows-where. Otherwise he would have been by her side sooner, and she'd have fallen less. "'S okay. 'M here," he whickered, a hand gently patting the small ghoul's shoulder as he tried to understand what she was saying between sobs. "Dunno where this is, but let's keep moving," then something occurs to Petro, "Y' fell lots. Your legs hurt? Y' want I should carry you while we look for the way outta here?" he offered. She'd been very light when they were in the workshop, it wouldn't be much trouble for him. But still, he had to ask. It just wouldn't be right otherwise.

It was just about then that a golden-winged form came hurtling through the air and slammed into another snowbank with a muffled thud. Moments later, there was a groan and someone muttered, "Ow." Then an arm stuck out of the nice neat hole and shoved... flailing about and pushing... until finally Aksaja emerged. Looking around with a frown, it didn't take him very long at all to figure out where he'd ended up.

"..... Great," he said then, blinking a bit dizzily at the others who had landed here. He was rather inclined to agree with the demon who'd just taken a pumpkin pill (stupid Riley stealing his second one >C ). "Definitely. Let's go," he murmured and took off after Barth. Jack, he felt like s**t.

However, he didn't at all fail to notice the peppermint points scattered about, and Aksaja quickly scooped up seven of them whilst walking along, shoving them into pockets.

((Johan's HP: 11))
((Bells: 3))

Flying, Johan had to admit, was a neat experience. Despite the amount of force necessary to send him hurtling through the air, he'd retained consciousness, and was treated to the sight of Christmas Town receding beneath him. From up here, it was kind of picturesque. The gaping pit that had been the main warehouse, the fire coming from the smaller ones, the body parts he could see lining the streets. If nothing else, they'd managed to bring a good bit of Halloween horror to Christmas.

Looking around, Johan could see other students propelled in all directions, and it was only then that Johan thought to see where he was likely to land. As he reached the apex of his ascent and began to fall back down, he could see that he wasn't going to land back in the Icy Path, or on the Island. No, he was going to land somewhere in the middle. Candycane Lane. Hadn't Hellma said that was a deadly place?

There wasn't much he could do about it now, because the ground was coming toward him at an alarming rate, and he had just enough foresight to curl himself around his belongings in an attempt to protect them-

THUD

When Johan came to, he found himself sprawled just off the path in a snow drift. From the crater around him, and how much everything hurt, he'd made quite an impact. Still, he could move. Groaning, Johan crawled out of the snow, and onto the path. Aching and absolutely drained, he decided to stay right there for a bit and rest, deadly things or not. Checking through his things, he was glad to see he still had everything, though the pieces of the violin were now in more pieces.

The sound of someone crying drew his attention, and farther down the lane, he thought he could make out four shapes. So he wasn't the only one to have landed here. No doubt, they wouldn't be the last, either. At least one of the students had the right idea of getting out of here, but he was moving decidedly slowly. Wincing, Johan pushed himself to his feet, and went to join them.

"Bartholomew! Amrita!" he exclaimed, upon drawing closer. At least he knew two of them. Amrita was currently clinging to a boil Johan didn't know.

"We're on Candy Cane Lane," Barth hissed. "The last group that went down here were all blown straight back to the infirmary. I know. I was in it." He paused, then added, "...Hi, Johan."

Now a very basic problem presented itself: which way was forward, and which way was back? And more importantly, which way was closer? Since they'd been blown into who-knows-where in the path, there was no telling. This part of the path didn't look familiar, but then again, they hadn't gotten very far before becoming Halloween Town sushi.

((HP: 25

The explosion had enough force to send the dragon flying off a fair distance, especially for his size. But before too long he found himself crashing into the snow, causing the white stuff to fly all over the place upon impact and creating a nice skid mark before he finally came to a halt.

Man his whole body was in pain, especially around his right wing. If one were to look, the limb was bending in a way it really shouldn't have been. Jericho remained laying there for some time, dazed. When he finally came around, he groaned as he tried to move, feeling sharp pains all around.

Still, he managed to at least get himself upright. Glancing around, he wasn't familiar with his surroundings, but thinking of the possible locations, it seemed this was the dreaded Candy Cane Lane. He wasn't alone either as he saw a few of the other students had landed here as well. The sloth demon nearby just confirmed this. Speaking of other students...

Forcing himself onto his feet, the red dragon tried to look around to see if there was any sign of Riley. With any luck she was flung away from him and didn't get crushed.

"R-Riley?" he called out weakly. This wasn't working out. Finding his last pill, he downed it in an instant. Before too long he felt its effect washing over him, relieving the intense pain and mending his wing in the process.

Amrita thought she heard someone tell her to keep it down; but she ignored it for now. She was too tired to care how she was acting anymore, and it just felt better to let it all out. If she remembered what the sleepy and slow demon looked like later on, she might apologize for irritating him. Maybe. Secretly, she hoped to forget pretty much this entire trip.

Well, that probably wasn't a secret. At all.

"Yes please." She whimpered pathetically when Petro offered to carry her again, holding her arms up to the much taller boil. Normally she would have tried to walk on her own out of fear of making him go out of his way for her, but right now? He offered, and if it was going out of his way he shouldn't have offered.

Her arms still in the air, she tilted her head a bit to look to where she heard someone call for her. "Johan! Y-you're okay!" She was still clearly upset, but at least she could sound even remotely relieved. The sleepy looking Demon mentioned something about Candycane Lane...and she felt her stomach drop. Only not really.

"Ohnooooo..." Amrita whined, thankfully in a tiny voice under her breath. This was the lane she had avoided earlier because it was too dangerous.

Well, this just got a whole lot less fun.
