Warakai's trademark broad smile didn't fade in the slightest as he swam back to shore not taking his eyes from Leith as he simply drifted onto the sand.

"You might not have needed saving but you're gonna need drying off." Called out Lucien. "The fires not big enough, so I'm gonna have to go look for some more driftwood and kindling, unless anyone else has any bright ideas."

Leith pulled her clothes back on and spoke to Lucien, "Yeah, I'll help you." She was still embarassed, but hopefully no one would notice.

Lucien nodded with a smile on his face. "Thanks, But I suggest you dry off first." He noted the fact that she was still wet."Its night time, being soaking wet + Night = coming down with a cold. Dry off first. You can help afterwards. Trust me I should know. You don't want a cold while you're here."He left with a wave to search for some wood in the beach area near the docks. He wouldn't be able to get far though. Due to the fact that a part of himself is tending the shadow-fire.

It only lasted seconds, but it was sort of frightening. One second Leith was happily wading in the black water, and then a second and a scream later, she was on the verge of death. Warakai was so fast and powerful, Mike was glad he was there. Mike wouldnt have known what to do, he wasnt life-saving material. He only destroyed lives. Moments later, Warakai and Leith emerged from the water. Mike finally exhaled. He wanted to ask if they were okay, if he could do anything - anything - to help the situation somehow, but it had already been decided.
"The fires not big enough, so I'm gonna have to go look for some more driftwood and kindling, unless anyone else has any bright ideas," Lucien said, knowing exactly what should be done. They did need a bigger fire, and Leith needed to be dried off, as did Warakai. They were both soaked and would for sure freeze thier butts off on the coast. "Yeah, I'll help you," Leith said, wringing the water from her hair. Warakai stood content in the sand, as bubbly as he ever would be. Mike had an idea.
"Warakai, you should make sure Leith is alright while Lucien gathers more materials. I can wait here," he suggested. Then Mike thought about the fire-camouflage trick Lucien had. He might have to stay to conceal the glow, and that would ruin Mike's plans. His very feeble plans.
What if he revealed himself to them right now? Would they be scared? They sure weren't afraid of Lucien, and he could obviously fold light. Eerie. Mike could catch things on fire. Painful. And what if Lucien was part of something bigger? What if they all were? What if they were all on the Empire's side? Mike had heard stories about Gods with these sorts of powers, but they were just stories. After the Empire rewrote all the textbooks and everything... Mike wasn't sure what to believe.
Hopefully though, his plans would work, and he could help his new... acquaintances. It was the very least he could do to somehow repent for today.

Leith rolled her eyes but plopped down in the sand next to Mike. He still had his jerky out and seemed to be in a relatively deep thought at the moment. She reached over and grabbed herself a piece of the jerky anyway, not caring if it broke his concentration. She took an angry bite and chewed it for a moment then remembered her aunt again. "I should be going..." The jerky was good, but the thought of leaving two elementals behind made it taste sour in her mouth. And who was this Mike character anyway? He was a liar, and a nervous one too, with a broken arm and a leather jacket. There had to be something special about him, why else would he be hanging out with shadow and water elementals?

Warakai watched Leith for a minute or two still smiling tracing a finger across his tattooed left cheek his attention suddenly jumped across to Mike who was staring at the concealed fire. Warakai jumped up once again climbing into his boat and retrieving his shirt he then proceeded to go through his stuff finding a large spiky shelled fruit which he proceeded to peel looking out towards the moon, A remnant of the power water elementals once possessed.

Lucien came back with some pieces of driftwood and any few twigs sticks and leaves he would be able to find. he left the wet driftwood by the fire to dry off and dropped in a few twigs and sticks to keep the fire going. Then he laid down a dry log across the fire to keep it burning for a bit more. He sat down and lied back with his hands behind his head.

[[Lols, thanks for the nice time gap, MMX xD;]]
Mike slumped a little. Warakai was blissfully not listening, and apparently Leith was more hungry than Mike had realized as she did not accompany Lucien. He smiled a little as some of his jerky was stolen. He didnt mind. He did mind the fact that he still had witnesses. 'Go away!' he kept begging in his head. He didnt say much as he kept contemplating, eating, and contemplating some more. But then Lucien returned with more wood, and plopped back down in the sand. Mike almost sighed. And he wanted to throw a stick at him. A touch of annoyance buzzed between his brows. The fire still sucked. It was infuriating.
"I should be going..." Leith said, her breath smelling of sweet meat. Mike glanced at her, asking, "Would you be alright on your own?" Leith almost drowned. If no one else would escort Leith as to where she needed to be, he'd do it himself, as badly as he wanted to get out. It was the least he could do. He had to clean his slate somehow.

((Sorry. I get impatient easily)) Lucien felt a minor buzz of annoyance. He didn't know where it came from but he knew that someone here didn't like him. "Tough Luck...", he thought.

Leith looked to Mike for a long moment then said simply, a smile playing at the corner of her lips, "I don't live here, but I'm pretty sure I could make it to where I'll be staying tonight." She thought for a second and laughed, "You know, I don't really know any of your guys and here I am sharing a shadow elemental's fire, chewin' on some jerky from a guy with a broken arm, and saved by..." she almost said it, "some guy with tattoos from the same bunch of islands I'm from. Honestly, this is the strangest little gathering I've ever been to and I hate leaving because I know something's about to happen, but I'd be dead meat if I didn't get back..." And yet she made no effort to get up. She shoved another bite of jerky into her mouth and chewed maticulously as she waiting for a conversation to arise so she could have the excuse that she was distracted. She really didn't want to leave this invisible fire and mysterious company.

Mike listened to what Leith had to say, and couldnt help but laugh a little. He shot her a quick glance. "Yeah, no kidding. This is strange," He said. "I was supposed to leave today, and instead I meet all of you. Can't say its been boring." Mike stared at the fire shadow on the beach in front of him. He cleared his throat, "I know you're more than 'capable' of getting to wherever you're going but... I dont think its ever safe here at night." Mike looked over at Warakai, who lay contently in his boat snacking on something, then at Lucien, who wasn't really being social. He still wanted to throw a stick at someone. Or a flaming stick.
Mike sighed. He wasnt really intent on leaving either. One, because he was not sailing in the dark, second, he didnt want trouble with the guards, and third... he almost felt like he belonged here, with all these wierdoes. Mike furrowed his eyebrows, then, looking at Leith, asked: "... what's an Elemental?"

Leith turned her head slowly, and she had a feeling the others might be doing the same thing. "You don't know what an elemental is?" She felt almost insulted--their species really was being killed off. She knew she should let one of the openly elemental guys tell him, but she knew just as much or more than they did. "An elemental is a person who worships and came from the gods that the city is trying to kill off. A person belonging to that clan or bloodline has the ability to minipulate a certain elemten--such as water, air, fire, eart, light, or darkness. They're rare now days because the stupid city is finding more of us, but alot of us are hiding." Only untill after she finished her sentece did she realise that she'd said "us" twice. She mentally cursed herself out and she blushed with regret and something close to embarassment. She prayed they hadn't noticed.

Lucien sat up. "Its pretty much true." He kept a glum look on his face on the topic. "This Empire can't allow any remnants of the gods to survive, including any Elementals, against their rule. They've already limited our abilities with that cursed Machine of theirs and have already established a firm defensible position over us." He laid back down with his hands behind his head. "No one knows how to infiltrate the deeper mechanisms to destroy it yet...and all have a hard time surviving."

Warakai watched the waves corrupted by the great foul shapes of the massive iron ships of the exmachina empire massive smoke stacks were currently inert but he knew there was little stopping them from poisoning the air once again. He immediately stood up grabbing a satchel from the deck before jumping from the boat. "I'm going for a walk" he said to nobody in particular as he attached the satchel to his hip walking toward the city.
