Kuroiban TeaDidikai OH! HOT STUFF! I just got the new AH expansion. heart Who to the what now? Arkham Horror, the latest expansion The Innsmouth Look. I have a 1930's leather suit case, with fabric covered custom cut cushions that nest the whole of the game. When the board is extended fully, it is about six feet long or so...

I'm glad Amazon has such an extensive repertoire of used books - otherwise this new wishlist would be entirely unreasonable. >.< It's getting pretty huge.

I am thinking about getting my hair done up in dreads. Probably going to have to do it at home, since I know of absolutely no places around here that does it. Means finding friends that won't flip right the hell out over the very idea. Should be interesting.

Fiddlers Green Dreds are high maintenance. wink Indeed they are. Wanted them for years, though. Put off getting them exactly because of how much work they can take, figuring the urge would go away after a while. It didn't, so I'm probably going to give it a shot.

It didn't, so I'm probably going to give it a shot. A friend of mine just shaved his off, after nearly a decade of growing them. Be ready, they get heavey. However, there is no teacher quite like experience. Bon chance. surprised

Fiddlers Green Godspeed Poe. I hope that your trip has none of the complications you foresee, and all the finality you seek. 3nodding Thank you. A lot of old friends are offering me a safe place to crash for a few nights and essentially friendly escorts to give me a safety of numbers situation, instead of a wandering alone in a bigoted small town with a mild history of gang violence spilling out of the city into it. I'm glad that, beyond a few truly awful exceptions, the mass majority of my friends have been at least outwardly accepting and supportive. And most of my close friends are truly supportive, accepting and willing to stand by me in tough situations. That support network has been instrumental in weathering the disowning and rejection from multiple directions. Celeblin Galadeneryn maenad nuri ...Here's the remembering: We are a Rehabilitation Guild. Don't be dicks. Don't gang up on people if they say something that you think is wrong... Me? A d**k? Never. You're too cuddly to be a d**k. ...and I suddenly realize that I just implied I've cuddled penises. x_X

I keep forgetting how yummy some of my own cooking can be to people who only grew up with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme as their only seasonings.

maenad nuri TeaDidikai I keep forgetting how yummy some of my own cooking can be to people who only grew up with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme as their only seasonings. If it can't go to Scarborough Fair, it can't go on the plate? Apparently. Growing up, my mom's idea of a home cooked meal was Hamburger Helper. My Nana, my Baba, my Aunts Grandma etc... they all actually cooked, so I should be able to understand why people are looking at me funny when I mention making something with sumac and paprika. In other news, apparently my tin of peanuts warns that it may contain peanuts in it.

In other news, apparently my tin of peanuts warns that it may contain peanuts in it. It's not even just spices. I get the oddest looks when I tell people the three homemade meals I like making, and eating the most. 1) Baked acorn squash, with a orange, raisin, and brown sugar sauce. With refried beans, and a little cheese for a side dish. 2) Baked eggplant with a little red vinegar, caramelized onions, Monterey Jack cheese, all on sour dough bread, and heated up in a pan. 3) Pasta (usually spaghetti), with kale, cottage cheese, and garlic (all three cooked together), sprinkled with chopped walnuts. If it's anything beyond your typical cheeseburger, hot dogs and mac and cheese, pizza, sort of meals, I find people give out some crazy looks.
