"Mmhmm." That was her only response really as she sat down as he had directed her, but she didn't let up on that keyboard any. It was kind of impressive seeing the speed and accuracy she was typing at when she was only doing it one handed...not to mention keeping track of all the screens she seemed to be overlaying of one another.
Erik sighed. "Good lord, you fed her back to the beast you were trying to save her from." But he let it slide with a sigh, after all he didn't feel like arguing with James on it really. "I'm surprised she's taking help on that one." But then he took on a rather innocent looking facade. "I wouldn't horse tranq her every other day. Perhaps once a week. Besides, I think I'd have to use and Echo tranquilizer on her anyway."

A grin.
"Even so. you'd tranq her with one of those, O.D. her, then I'd be forced to shove you out an airlock so I coul watch your body implode. I'd rather just use the VR room and shutting down the power to the project, wouldn't you?"
He just watched with a small grin.
"She's good for one handed.I take it she's had practice."

"Oh I wouldn't OD her...though I think I am a little disturbed with the amount of ease with which you mentioned shoving me out an airlock and watching me implode...yeah, not going to get you pissed at me that's for sure. But alright, you win. Power shut downs and VR rooms will work for me." After all, he didn't want to get on James' bad side. And thus his look turned to Jelena. "That's good old fashioned college practice. That's the eat with one hand type your final fifty page paper with the other at the same time technique. Put a piece of pizza in that other hand, and imagine her hair longer and she's back in college."

"You know, I thnk she'd look really nice if she grew her hair back out. what do you think?"
A chuckle at Erik over the airlock comment, and shaking his head.
"I've seen worse deaths, beleive me. And you would really have to get me angery to hve me shove you out an airlock. Joey almost got himself tossed out one if Jelena hadn't been there to talk me out of it."
Then a glance at Jelena
"How's it looking, dear?"

"I used to tug her around by her hair." A chuckle as he crossed his arms. "But she did look nice with it long. I remember whan she cut it that first time...done in a moment of anger at herself and she's just worn it that short ever since." He shrugged. "Probably some subconcious thing with her." Though he raised an eyebrow and laughed again. "Should of thrown him out anyway, I've never liked Joey."
"Mmhmm." Yeah the generic response.
Erik sighed. "That's not how you do it." Adn thus he strolled over behind her chair, grasping the back of it. He gave a quick jerk, pulling her away from the keys and then jostled the chair. "Earthquake test Trevy, come back to the rest of the Fleet."
Well that shook her out of her little work trance. "No! Wait, wait, just let me run the simulation on it!" A reach out for the keyboard which Erik only yanked her away more. He loved that that chair had wheels. And with a sort of whimper noise she gave up her reaching, leaning back into the chair with a huff.

"So is it looking good up until the simulation, Jelena? Or does it look like it's proabably going to fall apart?"
A glance at Erik.
"You know, there are times I wonder why she doesn't slap you more often. I mean if you did that to jessica, she woudl have decked you by now."
A grin and back to Jelena, and walking over to the computer..looked at teh keyboard and the screen..and hit the button to run the simulation.

"She's just no the slapping type I guess. Never has been...no she'd rather think up a way to annoy you later in rather subtle but monumental ways. That's just what she does."
"Maybe because he's got such a hard head." He shook her chair once more and she just pushed back in it, rolling over his toes. Served him right, but as James went about pushing buttons she took to staring, watching with the fascination of a child really.
The little simulation started out slow and then flicked a number of different screens, layering them all together before switching to a 3d mode and displaying a mock up DNA strand. Then it went about highlighting certain parts, checking them off and running off probability numbers of success and the like. Then it went to a processing screen as it calculated the structure as a whole. Jelena personally hated this part because it either gave her stable structure or unstable structure. She didn't like fifty fifty chances.
But the screen blinked up a box with green test reading stable structure with an over all eighty-seven percent success rate for total formation. Reaction? Well she jumped up out of that chair with a rather girly squeal and grabbed James, hugging him. of course that moment was short lived as pain shot up her arm, but still.

He grinned when she squealed and hugged him, though it hurt her arm and she let go rather quickly, and gave her a kiss and mussed her hair.
"Hey, looks like the intergration of bionic techniques worked. well I'll be damned. but an eighty-five percent chance, that's a real high one for this kind of thing or mostly an average chance?"
Then a grin at Erik, and back to Jelena.
"and careful with that arm now."

Erik reached out and grabbed Jelena by the back of her shirt, pulling her back and making her plop down into her chair. "Sit and stay. Good lord woman...don't need you hurting yourself anymore than you are...becuase I don't play servant well." Then a pat on her head. "Good Trevy."
And she swatted him away again after passing a agitated look from being yanked back and away from James as well. But she look to James, smiling. "Are you kidding, that's high. When I do these I shoot for at least a seventy-five. And most only come in at thirty-two." She gave a laugh. "I'm going to have to start bugging Ingenuity more often for the complex stuff."

He gave a chuckle at Erik's antics, and smiled at Jelena.
"Glad I coudl be of help. with the percentage this high, does that mean he's more likely to get the size and height that they are supposed to have? or is that somethign you really can't determine with the DNA. I mean if that was the case..couldn't we take another look at your Dragon, and see if we can't add of biomechanical wonder and get him teh size he's supposed to be? you know so next time Erik has a problem we can threaten to throw him in as snack food?"
A grin at Jelena.
"And I'm glad to be able to help you, dear."

"Not necessarily. Seeing as it's a base genetic strand, height and the like can't be properly manipulated yet. That percentage as of now just states that its will more likely than not have the look its supposed to have, all the parts, and all the vital systems to life. Though I also spliced in mastiff, saint bernard and great dane specifics to get a feel of the size at least. Now it's a matter of doing what the computer says can be done then playing the waiting game."
"Snack...hm, I'm hungry come to think of it..."

"Sounds good. hmm. want to start one up and see what happens? and Erik if you keep eating one of these days you are just going to blow up I swear. too much fatty sugar foods. you need to get some proper meals, same as Jelena. You know am I going to have to start making you two lunches so I know your eatting properly?"
A look between them both with a half grin, shaking his head.

"Isn't that sweet? He's going to pack up lunches as we skip off to work. Want to pin a list of care instructions to our shirt collars too James? Maybe directions on how to get to our rooms, if lost please GODD James Moira. An-Ow, hey..."
Jelena waved her hand. Ow...it hurt to punch Erik. Just meant he matched his head, hard as a brick. "Oh quit with your patronizing." Then she turned on James. "You have no room to talk Mr. bear claws and hostess pies. Besides...we do enough running around to burn off all that sugar." But then she went quiet. "No...I think I'll start tomorrow...I'm still on my day off." Apocalypse.

"Hey, hostess pies and bearclaws are only for breakfasts and between ship snack trips. I do cook my dinners and usually get lunch on Raidiance. late lunch to avoid crowds staring at me, but still I get lunches."
Then a smirk to Erik.
"Keep it up and I'll have the cleanign crews sew nametags into all your work clothes with precisely that."
Then back to Jelena with a smile.
"See, she can be taught to take a day off. that's a very good girl. and just for that I'll cook you a nice three course dinner tomorrow for your busy workday."

She swiveled in her chair lightly, looking up at him and sticking her tongue out in childish manner at him. "Ha, I get fed, you have to eat...what do you eat for dinner?"
"Box of cereal."
"The whole box?"
"Sans milk."
"You're just too lazy to get real food or something close to it."
"Usually."
"At least you're honest." With a slight laugh and a shake of her head she looked back to James. "What can I say, I've started to enjoy myself. No sense in starting back to work when I still have the night to get through."
