Azuriel was watching Sylvia patiently awaiting the woman to turn toward her and possibly recognize her. Sylvia came off as a little thrown off, in the sense that she wasn’t fully certain on who was talking to her, She also waited as Sylvia spoke in such a way that left pause for though before continuation. While Sylvia looked at the book, spoke and then returned the book to its shelf Azuriel smiled lightly as she watched all of her little reactions, straightening up when Sylvia faced her and her expression becoming a little more neutral. She enjoyed this persons way of carryinrg themselves, it was like an upbeat an more dazzling version of the way Azuriel carried herself in social setting, although she hadn’t gauged if Sylvia was restrained by the same constraints as Azuriel in that fashion, getting the feeling that Sylvia was a little more free than herself if so.
Was the first thing she said in response to Sylvia, the initial shyness lowering a tick as this wasn’t a one way conversation now. Although she got the idea she might have made the woman feel uncomfortable when the statement about being watched came up, which the second part of Azuriels words were in reference to. ”I maybe, sorta look different than I did last night so you might not recognize me... I’m Azuriel!.. a.and I maybe K.kinda asked the staff at neon lights the name of the new DJ as I wanted to meet the person who got the job see..... and you seem to be one who could “amp the hype,” so to say, based on my perception anyway.” She said, leaving out the fact that it was a partial guess, as she didn’t actually know which of the two from the prior night was who.
Not fully certain her educated and experience oriented guess was correct, her face showing the fact she could be wrong might have just it her as she suddenly grinned sheepishly with a bit of imminent embarrassment preparing to flush on her face if she was wrong. ”You are Sylvia.....right, or did I just make an assumption and sound like a complete weirdo!”She said, her voice accelerating and picking up in pitch and volume slightly at the end as she was clearly braced and ready to be told that she was completely wrong, although a level of hope to the contrary was evident in her face, despite all the information her eyes might give being hidden behind reflections. She physically had to prevent herself from cringing just at the idea of being wrong as the world slowed down and anticipation toward the verdict of if she had just made a fool of herself or not.

There was no malice. She could feel no heat from the feelings made towards her - save perhaps those of embarrassment. Sylvia raised an eyebrow at first, but in the end she cracked a smile, her eyes taking on a slight radiance in their emerald irises as she came up to her feet - a radiance that passed as quickly as it came, though the life in them did not cease so quickly. "Word travels pretty quick then." She reasoned, but as she folded her arms beneath her chest she offered an affirming nod. "Not to worry, you heard right. Sylvia LaCroix, newcomer in town and so quickly Lady of the Musical Arts for the depraved." She smirked, giving a shrug as if to immediately dismiss such a self-imposed, grandiose title.
"I wish we could have kept you longer. But, it sounds to me as if it's better for you that we're relatively alone, here." She reasoned, putting out her hand after a moment. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Azuriel. That's quite a name you've got, too." She managed to keep her expression steady; the odds were astronomically small, but she knew a translation from her own circuit of worlds for the name, and the implications lent themselves to her suspicions of being followed, but for the time being, she put more trust in her sense of empathy than in speculation. Even still, given how awkward Azuriel seemed for the moment, it was better to break the ice on her terms rather than to let any silence drive her off again. "Where's it from? Not locally, I'm sure." She guessed.
"And for that matter, why look for me last night anyway? The DJ is hardly the person to go looking for in a club like that." She added with a chuckle.

A fair assumption! I don't see why they wouldn't, haha. Sylvia just hasn't been exposed to such an omniscient lens :p

Heavenfell | Feelings: bit of guilt and nostalgia when starts mentioning name origins | Thoughts: ”Somtimes I feel lying would be better that a response like this!
Azuriel reaches her hand to her mouth and nipped the tip of finger on her thin glove and gently pulled it off, letting it land on the edge of her clipboard before she stretched her hand out to shake Sylvias, each motion was delicate and gave off the impression she was like a fragile plant. Those thoughts would be dispersed when her hand clearly took Sylvias in a gentle fashion but where her fingers squeezed, a surprising amount of strength would be hidden behind them. It’s not as though she held Sylvias hand particularly had, it was just clear from the body language she was treating Sylvia with the care one might perceive Azuriel needed. Despite the fact that Sylvias title created a level of envy to immediately flood over Azuriel and a tint of momentary annoyance with how she phrased her position at neon light, making it seem like no big deal.. well it was to Azuriel!
Those feeling were fleeting and shifted back to genuine enjoyment Sylvia was indeed she and moreso, was more than happy to introduce herself and hadn’t been scared off by Azuriels approach, the first sign of her relaxation would be a few seconds after Sylvia first smiled. She was about to respond with something to the liking of “yeah it is quite the name” or something to that note, however Sylvias follow up question was a little different, she didn’t automatically assume some biblical connection and leave it at the prior said statement, no this curious little robin, who know not the topic she touched close too’ significance. Azuriel faltered for a moment. Not immediately responding as Sylvia led into another question as they completed their handshake and Azuriel gently returned her hand and started putting her glove back on ”My name comes from the city of light, It’s pre-biblical, an alternative way of saying my old name cause that’s currently held by my replacement, who You can probably guess whom that is.” she declared, Nostalgia and guilt knotting up in her stomach as her hidden eyes looked off to the side. Her tone denoted bitterness and a level of flippancy pretty clearly to avoid actually letting the subject get to her, which it didn’t.
These feelings were short lived as she shook them off swiftly much like the majestic Sylvia seemed to cycle between intense and calm with the ways she stood up and moved. Azuriel pressed the conversation onward, not wanting to ruin the interaction and tactically steering the topic onward ”You too have a name that at least isn’t common to this city, a more refined or classy ring to it, if I do say so myself.” She said, truthful in her words but more saying them to make sure she didn’t bum out the conversation. Now the topic of why she searched out Sylvia led her into the topic she had attempted to approach Sylvia with before ”The only reason I’d go to a place like that would be to have something to do with a DJ, in my case I wanted to hear some of your music and perhaps maybe.. I dunno..compare tracks with my own...” the last part she said very quietly tightening her grip on the clipboard, she furrowed her brow and finished off with with an unconscious pout on her face ”and maybe I’m sorta jealous you got the gig before me and no real reason to begin with...wanted to see who beat me!” She got out as well, clearly being fully honest despite possibly not wanting to be. She obviously has a little of her pride bumped not being chosen over someone else, although held no real negative feelings over the matter.. Azuriel also brandished the clipboard to show that she was now working here, as opposed to there as a result. She realized she was talking without taking proper care in her words, this was because she wasn’t ready for this.. although Sylvia seemed to be putting in an effort in the few seconds of interaction they had and sounded like she was happy to run into Azuriel, which combine with being everything was probably making her forget how to act as she was currently basically running a store alone and it was day one, so she didn’t get self conscious about the was she was being with that in mind. ”Sorry, congratulations on getting that position by the way, I might be a bit jealous but I think it’s cool you got the position!” She added meaningfully, being completely honest with Sylvia.

That was... a lot to take in. Sylvia found herself right back on her heels when a wash of barbs alerted her to the fact that she had indeed stepped into dangerous territory - not once but twice in so short a time. Still, while the name coming from the city of light sounded once again terribly, terribly familiar, the term 'biblical' did not - affirming at least that she hadn't been tracked across worlds to here so soon. For all her relief though, she had walked into volcanoes less volatile than the tumult of emotions assaulting her senses; in fact between the immediate tensions and the self-imposed efforts on Azuriel's part to quell them, Sylvia found herself stumbling back a step and putting a hand to her chest, as if abruptly but mildly ill. She swallowed hard and pinched her eyes closed, working to steady her breath, but only somewhere in the back of her mind did she do anything with the words themselves being spoken. This was... a most unusual meeting, to say the least.
So much for keeping her nature a secret. Her reaction to the instability was all but guaranteed to land her in a pile of very compromising questions.
"I'll... have to keep in mind to ask someone else, when I get the chance... what exactly you mean by that." Sylvia managed to say once she'd at least recovered her breath. "Not a very well-kept secret that I've offended you. Oh, where do I even begin...." Probably by sitting down, she realized; despite what she knew to be her own health being just fine, her insides were turning uncomfortably, and she very much did not want to make matters worse by losing the strength in her limbs should she somehow manage to muck it up even more. Resigned as she was to her condition, she sat back down on the stool she had been reading on and sucked in a breath to hold for a few seconds while she considered what wouldn't set off anything more.
"I'll admit to being surprised. You're the first to say my name is anything like exotic. I'm new to the city myself, but so far no one else has made any bigger a deal about my name than anyone else's. But... if it's a touchy subject, I'll leave it there. As for the job... well...." She let her head back a bit with a sigh, staring up into the lights overhead for a long moment. "I'm more of a singer than a mixer, if I'm being honest. I'd be more than thrilled to hand it over to you if not for the fact that - well. Putting it bluntly, I doubt I'll survive without it. Take that how you will, it's hardly my choice to make." But with that, all the life in her eyes seemed gone, her emerald gaze reduced to a near-forest green.

Heavenfell | Feelings:concern | Thoughts: Is she ok?!!
Azuriels eyes widened, what was wrong?! Sylvia was recoiling or no, feint? What was wrong, Azuriel had no idea and her automatic urge to help overrode any and all all the emotions she was feeling except concern and the intent to help, as she listened to Sylvias words intently and without speaking herself, her body tending up to catch Sylvia if she were to fall. It was good Sylvia chose to sit and Azuriel stepped closer to her but made sure to leave enough room for Sylvia to breathe. Sylvias initial words before sitting down threw her off when she made a comment about offending Azuriel, she looked a little more quizzical and believed that Sylvia might be having a panic attack or something akin to that, concerning her about her own demeanour, did she give Sylvia an ugly look without realizing it, she hoped not but what was important was this person in-front of her.
Azuriel didn’t interrupt Sylvia making sure to get Sylvias attention by speaking her name softly but with an expectancy to it, ”Sylvia!, please look at me” She would give a soft smile when Sylvia did so before showing an expression of compassion and caring, Azuriel reflectively taking her sunglasses off without even missing a beat so that her expression was properly seen. ”bright and creative Sylvia, what dims your glow? I can assure you that you did not offend me, whatever idea you may have gotten whether it be my tone or expression showing a level of resentment I promise that is nothing on you, the only one to blame is I for letting a personal issue give you such a feeling, if I were offended, I’d make you aware, one shouldn’t ever need to be made to feel like that for asking something so please forgive me.” She looked momentarily regretful to have made Sylvia feel this way, however again her intent was to make sure this person was ok and understood they had done no transgression.
”Now I would never dream of taking the job from you or resenting you for obtaining it, you getting there first was just how it was meant to be, my personal feeling of jealously and the like are my own to deal with, I might have picked up some flaws with my emotions being around humans for so long.. which leads to my final note, if you felt you got in the way of my dreams I’d like you to know that’s untrue.” She didn’t look away and barely blinked through any of this and she extended a reassuring hand toward Sylvias shoulder to touch it gently. “You also need not worry about how I might feel over your position as DJ I believe that you got the position because you were meant to, your words strengthen that fact.” She returned her hand, then straightened up ”Are you alright, would you like a drink or a better chair to sit in?”

Man, Serilda hadn't even been in the city for too long and she was already running low on activities to do! She had already toured Soliel within a day, so she felt as if she had seen everything it had to offer -- on the surface at least. The half-siren had yet to interact with any of the citizens, so she didn't know if this area had any secrets to hide. One day, though, she would find them! Through her wandering, Serilda stumbled upon Bookworm's. While she wasn't an avid book reader, she was old enough to know that sometimes interesting things came from literature. The world was changing everyday, and that meant new things to read and learn. A little browsing couldn't hurt, right? With her hands slipped into her jacket's pockets, the silver-haired minx strolled right into the store.
Letting out a slight whistle to herself, Serilda was pretty impressed with all of the unfamiliar book titles shown before her. With bright, curious eyes, it was time to do a little window shopping. Unless something truly piqued her interests, she most likely wouldn't walk out the store with anything in particular... unless she stole it. Roaming about the store, the half-siren passed through each aisle. Only every so often she would briefly stop to stare at a book cover before shrugging and moving along. Before she turned the corner into the next aisle, she over heard a small group of two other women conversing to each other. The redhead looked pretty ill, and the raven-haired one seemed to have a wash of concern over her face. " Hmm... let's see how this plays out. " It was probably rude to eavesdrop and be nosy, but what else was there to do? It wasn't like she was breaking the law just yet, anyways.

It took Sylvia all of her willpower not to stare. One moment, Azuriel seemed so intent to lay into her about jealousy and making comparisons that simply screamed of a desire to prove herself the half-blood's better, and in the next - in a moment of weakness, ironically enough - she was falling over herself to act on Sylvia's benefit... a sensation that left Sylvia teetering on the edge of annoyed, but she settled on perplexed if only for the fact that the emotions she felt were at least consistent. Were she any more on edge, she would have brought up how Azuriel had actively hunted her down with the express intent of expressing her jealousy, but no amount of resentment on Sylvia's part was going to override the fact that she had an appearance to maintain.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." She insisted, waving away Azuriel's fretful ministrations and settling on taking slow breaths until she stabilized past the point of calm once again. "Let's... just say it's a first for me to be sought after for something like that. I just need... some..." She blinked, yet again feeling a needling from along the way, and she found herself glancing up to find the source. "...time...." She trailed off, not sure what to make of this newest observer, but pointedly looking back to Azuriel as if embarrassed even though only the swift movement of her eyes lent any credence to the notion.
"Maybe ask me later, once I've got my bearings." Sylvia offered after a moment of drawn-out silence. "I'll be spinning the discs tonight if you want to swing by, just... I hope you'll forgive me when I take it a little awkwardly if I see you there. I'm not used to my rivals being so in the arts unless they're my sisters... and putting it mildly, they have better things to tangle with me over."
But with that her eyes once again flicked to the newcomer, taking an assessment of the look on her face before she came up again to her feet. "I don't mean to make a scene." She remarked, though whether it was to Azuriel or the newcomer was anyone's guess; "But I get the feeling I'll be used to being watched awfully soon at the rate I'm going." She added, managing a chuckle as a bit of the life returned to her eyes.

Heavenfell | Feelings: concern, pang of guilt | Thoughts: How am I gonna make this blunder up?!!
Not entirely to sure of what exactly was wrong with Sylvia and not being entirely convinced the woman was ok she straightened up and took a step back to give space, still looking concerned with a minor tilt of the head. She didn’t truly believe Sylvia was ok as everything said to the contrary in body language.. the light in the woman’s eyes was dulled and lacking in the same life to them as before. ”If you’re sure you’ll be alright... If you’re comfortable we can talk about it later then.” She said quietly, the same concern in her voice but less invested in a slightly crestfallen sense. Azuriel didn’t understand what was going on and it was confusing, she’d guessed it had to be something to do with her actively seeking out Sylvia, she just didn’t comprehend what the actual issue was over the admitted jealously.. felling that chiding herself for being so childish to begin should have shown it wasn’t an actual problem to Azuriel to any real degree.. but maybe she’d not got that across in her inflections but she didn’t have the time to contemplate these matters at this point.
She wasn’t entirely certain if Sylvia would be ok with her showing up or not, any insinuations or references in what the redheads words might be toward were lost of Azuriel, besides the fact she had an inkling that music was in some sense more of a necessity to Sylvia than it was something to behold and immerse oneself in to the same degree as Azuriel... then again her enjoyment of it to such a degree was that music was a big thing in heaven in a sense. Inciting a potential rivalry was not exactly the intent Azuriel had been looking for, although inevitable based on what the heavenfell had said herself and she slowly picked up on that Since when did I start feeling competitive or vein about my music... I’ll have to deal with that problem at that point. She thought to herself introspectively, putting the thought aside to deal with at a later point. ”I’ll probably come down to check out your material.. in an appreciative sense... not under my original motivations...Sorry for being so Gauche and a bit petty.” She said, trying to hopefully repair a little of the damage done, feeling a pang of guilt mixed with earnestness that could only equate to sincerity. As Sylvia stood up and made her comments about making a potential scene Azuriel realized she was at work and immediately started peering around from behind her shades before spotting another a short distance off at the end the Aisle at the corner. Getting the bell on the door fixed was jotted down then and there on the notepad she was carrying, not knowing when someone entered was a bad thing and must be rectified post hast. Signaling toward the shimmering blonde at the end of the isle ”Hey there, umm I’m the manager of this establishment...Do you need any assistance?” She said as she gave Sylvia a look to show she wasn't trying to dismiss her, a tint of concern colouring her aura that Sylvia might see this as an attempt to escape their current.... run in maybe?

Welp! It seemed like she had been spotted by the two. Oh well, it wasn't like she was trying to be inconspicuous anyways. Giving a bit of a shrug with a slight little smirk, Serilda fully came out of her spot and casually walked over. " No assistance needed here. But honestly, it looks like I can ask you two. You two need help? You guys didn't seem to look so good. " The half siren said while brushing some of her silver locks behind one of her ears. Amber orbs scanned both the fiery redhead and the raven-haired woman from head to toe. They both seemed and looked stressed out for some reason. She wasn't sure why, but she wasn't one to really ask. Serilda was more of a people watcher than an instigator... in certain circumstances.
" The name's Serilda. Who are you two? " Her voice was casual and nonchalant as she turned her attention back to the book in their aisle. Eventually, she pulled out a random book just to skim through it fairly quick before snapping it closed. " Are you guys locals, or new around here, too? "

Of course, Azuriel didn't buy that Sylvia was alright - granted, for the immediate moment she didn't feel alright, but the manager was readily steadying her emotions in such a manner that at least Sylvia didn't feel the contrasting feelings too strongly any longer. Still, for all her doubling over herself, the half-blood almost found her inner cynic willing to call her out on backing down, but she knew better; she knew concern when she felt it, and while it was clear that Azuriel had to sort out exactly how she felt about Sylvia's evident success, it was also clear that she genuinely meant no malice for it. She was an odd one, if only for the instability.
"I'll admit to not being fine right this instant, but it's nothing I can't handle and I know it'll pass. Quickly, I suspect." She offered, more to ease Azuriel's state of mind than anything else. Even so, the moment the word 'sorry' left Azuriel's lips Sylvia was ready with a dismissive wave of her hand. "You should never apologize for being who you are. As for me, it's a... bit of a condition, leaving me in this awkward little state. Nothing harmful, and again - it'll pass."
Still, the words of the onlooker caught Sylvia's attention quite quickly. Her gaze almost snapped up from the floor, and she recognized a slight twinge in her mind that was altogether too familiar. Wait, there was no way. Sylvia couldn't help but narrow her eyes, testing a theory against the next time Serilda spoke, and the offering of her name was something Sylvia certainly found herself drawn to. She blinked, emerald eyes wide and quite alive once again, even as she remained seated. "So, that's what that feels like." She muttered under her breath, chuckling quietly as she compared the mild compulsion to the reactions of so many upon hearing her own voice; still strangely quite different from those of her sisters.... She had to clear her throat a moment, realizing abruptly that she was staring, and her eyes bounced from Serilda's eyes to the book she had so briefly regarded. "Right. I'm Sylvia. Definitely new on the block as it were, and growing more surprised by the hour. Seems as if I've found a magnetism for the... musically-inclined, now haven't I?" She blinked, once again regarding Serilda with a tilt of her head. "Or would I be wrong to guess as much?"

Azuriel, now having her focus partially split listened to what Sylvia said and nodded and gave a short smile to show that she understood and acknowledged what the woman was saying, that she understood the Sylvia, even if she didn’t understand the whys to what was said. ”Understood, I hope that it passes soon so you can feel better Sylvia.” Were the words she gently gave, hoping that this was truly the case. Making sure her shades were properly aligned to fully shield her eyes from view again, looking at Serilda directly so as to show that she was giving the person the appropriate level of attention.
Nodding an affirmation to the words that Serilda spoke after she’d introduced herself and questioned if they were recent residents of the city.”Yes, it’s a pleasure, I’m Azuriel!.. Also you are indeed correct I only just finished moving into the city in the last few days.” She said, managing to regain composure and try and come off semi capable as she was meant to be the manager here. ”And I think we are alright, bless you for your concern though!” She added to what she was saying, before turning her head to look at Sylvia, curious to what exactly she was getting at as she did not pick up on the form of connection that the other two had in regards to their heritage.

Over the past few months, Emi's confidence in wandering the city by herself grew more and more... at least during the day. She was still a bit too frantic to travel around at night, but some progress was better than nothing! For today's little adventure she was just going to head over to the bookstore to browse around before going out to get even more Halloween candy. Sure, they had enough at home already, but that was for the kids! She couldn't just inhale their sweets all on her own. Mama Gerrit would've probably frowned upon the idea of eating a whole bucket of candy by herself... Besides, it was nice to have a little extra just in case that maybe they'd have a lot more kids this year, ya know? After getting dressed at home, Emi made sure to let Gerrit know where she was going before heading out.
Walking by herself didn't seem too scary anymore. While the air was a bit chilly, Emi didn't seem to mind. The trees were a beautiful mix of orange, yellow and red - it was an absolute beautiful sight! The fall season definitely had it's own beauty to it. After a little while, the pink mute made it to her first stop - Bookworm's! Entering into the front entrance, Emi was greeted with the cheerful ringing of the bell attached to the top of the door. She told Gerrit that she wasn't really looking for anything in particular, but that was just because he would probably have a heart attack and die again if he knew what she really came there for. Walking through the plethora of aisles, the girl finally made her way towards the back in the manga section. She passed by most of the mainstream manga books until she stopped in from of the "special adult" section. It was small, but they always had new reads every time she came in. She wanted something new to add to her hidden little secret collection at home. " Hmm... I haven't really added onto my BL collection. Let's see... " Crimson orbs scanned through the book titles until she saw one catch her eye. For a brief second, the mute girl checked her surroundings first before pulling the manga from its place. All the adult manga was wrapped with plastic wrap, so she could necessarily skim through, but that's what made the surprise even better, right? Emi did, however, stare at the cover for a good amount of time admiring the artwork. She'd always told herself that one day she'd publish her own ecchi manga, but she was still a bit too embarrassed about that dream of hers. What would her mama think!? Yeah, she was an adult, but Gerrit always thought of her as her young daughter. She had to protect that image of herself for a little while longer. Besides... she still needed to practice her human anatomy and all of it's "fun" parts - most the male one, at least.

Riley Sawyer
Riley had been having a rather nice day so far! This morning he had gone out to eat for breakfast and had his sunny side up eggs, bacon, and toast! (With the plate fashioned to look like a smiley face, just as they liked it). Afterwards they'd gone around to get some grocery shopping done, not for food but for frozen dinners and precooked foods, Riley had learned his lesson on cooking and they were not going to almost burn his home down! Even if they kinda wanted to try again! Nonetheless though the main chores of day to day life were finished and they were free to do as he pleased, not that he wasn't always free to do as he pleased, Riley just liked to do the boring not fun stuff done first. Of course the thought of going to the arcade was a thought that crossed their mind but Riley didn't have any quarters on him and wasn't keen on going to the bank (again) to ask for an exchange. He'd already done that three times this week and the tellers were starting to give them funny looks for some reason. So instead they opted to head to Bookworms as they had one of his favorite genre's of books to look at, picture books! Of course Riley liked a lot of different reading materials from fictional stories of gallantry, adventure, and heroics! As well as the cute slice of life manga's that he was very particularly fond of, currently he was following a series about a young man working his way through life trying to figure out what he wanted out of his life. The story was nice and all the characters were just so sweet!
So once Riley arrived they ended up floating around the store going from aisle to aisle casually picking out his favorite books that caught his eye. From picture books, to series he had his eye on, and then working their way back to the manga section where he squealed in delight when they saw that the latest issue of their manga had come out and so Riley quickly grabbed a copy of it and placed it in his basket with all their other goodies! However Riley ended up turning their head to see a young lady in a section he rarely saw anyone in for some reason. He knew that it was the adults only section but it seemed like nobody lingered around there for too long for one reason or another. Of course Riley had always wanted to head over there to see what they had to offer but whenever they stopped by here they usually ended up forgetting, becoming distracted by everything else. Well why not head over there and see what she picked out, maybe it would be a good recommendation to start out! So Riley would casually stroll over there and once close enough they peeked over the pink haired girls shoulder, reaching up to scratch his cyan blue hair as he took in the sight before him. Well that wasn't what they were expecting, they knew this was an adults section but there was nothing left to the imagination it seemed"Wow that guy sure has a big peen!"he stated aloud without any forethought or filter whatsoever, earning several looks from other patrons in the store. Not that they noticed at all as they admired the art as well, it was very well drawn and the anatomy was well done. If not the guy on the bottom looked a bit too flexible to be normal but Riley supposed that some people could probably do such a position.

" Wow that guy sure has a big peen! "
The sudden, loud and extremely unfamiliar voice rang through Emi's ears like a fire alarm. The abrupt statement caused the mute girl to nearly jump out of her skin! An audible, mouse-like squeal escaped from her being as she nearly fell forward into the bookshelf out of sheer fear. The bookshelf would've crashed down on the ground if Emi hadn't been quick enough to catch it. She already felt each of the peering eyes going towards her direction and her anxiety went through the roof at this point. With shaky hands, the pink-haired mouse tried to rearrange all the books neatly before her worried and nervous gaze turned behind her to see who exactly scared her shitless! Her sight was met with a strange person - no one that she's ever met before. How long was he standing there?! The guy was obviously there long enough to see what she was looking at so damn intensely! How embarrassing!
Almost instantly, Emi started to cry out in a mixture of embarrassment and shame. NOW EVERYONE KNEW SHE WAS A FREAK! A DEGENERATE! A NASTY NASTY GIRL! Of course, her mind was blowing this whole situation out of proportion, but it was scary to her! While her crying wasn't even loud since the girl couldn't speak, that didn't stop her display from being stared at by Bookworm patrons. How would a person without crippling anxiety handle this situation? Emi thought over and over until at least one small idea came to mind. A trembling hand reached into her pocket to grab her phone as she began an attempt at typing out a message. [ PLEAse dONT scARE me LIkE THAt !!111!! ] It was messily typed out, but it was somewhat legible to read - she hoped, at least. With the phone shaking in her tiny nervous clutches, Emi presented the lit up phone screen to the stranger.
