But of course things deemed scientific aren't based on simply belief. It's supposed to answer the "what", not the "why". That's not what I was discussing here.

The only scientific explanations for the "why" of the world usually end up being deadpan jokes from what I hear about them.

But anyhow, I have a feeling this is a discussion that will get out of hand. :/ I doubt people will understand anyway, so I'm not pressing it further.

People who claim the Mayans made that prediction make me rage beyond all belief.

It says I need to install Flash player 10 to view it, which i could have swore that I downloaded....like....a thousand times.

In order to do it I'd have to close out firefox.
