I caught an Abra. Too bad the little ******** doesn't know anything other than Teleport.
I'll throw either him or Butterfree out for a water-type later on, I'm sure.

Hell no Darth. Keep that ********. If you manage to trade him and evolve him into Alakazam, that thing is one of the best Psychic types in the game. Powerful critters, but hell to train up to 16 when he evolves into Kadabra.
The little shits keep running from me and my Great Balls aren't working on them, otherwise I would have used Kadabra against Whitney.

I put it to sleep to catch it. Can't trade, obviously (playing on a rom, on my computer), but I'll likely use it instead of Butterfree, because its HP/def is shitty.

Best bet is to get a Slowpoke so you can evolve him into Slowbro, then you've got a powerful Psychic/Water type a bit weaker than Kadabra/Alakazam but far more resilient and has a better moveset for stalling and outlasting other pokemon. I tend to go with a Wooper's evolved form for a Water type, that or Vaporeon.
Was never fond of Typhlosion(evolved fire-type starter) and usually went with Arcanine for my Fire type. And Pidgeot has always been my favoured flying type.
Brb, gonna train up this Ghastly. Really want that Haunter...
