You are here until the rst of the world stops being assinine, and myself and rose and rennell are here because we need to be for our bioware. there's probably only three places outside the station with the wquipment to handle our augments, all of them military controlled. and roselyn wouldn't make it. so I'll stay here with them until such time as we're not seen as frankenstiens."
An arm moved about her waist, careful of her injured arm, and hugged her a bit.
"But we still have our sunrise and sunsets right here. some more beautiful than the real thing becuase this is what we remember tham being like. when seeing a sunset was a wonderous thing to younger eyes."

"I never said it was a bad thing. Just an inconvenience." She stated that in a matter of fact way. Then she sighed again. "I always knew humans could betray each other and turn on each other, but I never thought that they could do it so well. Make divisions among themselves more awesome than anything that was there to begin with."
Quiet then from her. God she was being philosophical...wasn't she supposed to not be using her brain. So she elected to shut up about that. Though she smiled lightly at his hugging. "True, things are always more brilliant from out memories then anything else."
But damn that brain. "But sometimes...you can't beat the real thing at all, even with this technology." Which she was right. You could sit on the grass and dirt, but you would never get dirty, you could feel and hear the water, but you'd never get wet. Not in these simulations.

"True. maybe then sometime, your next day off...we can sneak down to a reserve on earth and just enjoy the real thing. a real sunset, real water and streams. this place, if it is still around, was in the colorado rockies. heck if it's still there might get to see this place for real."
A smile at her.
"Of course we'd have to convince you to take another day off sometime."

"You'd have to convince me to get down to earth first. Sneaking or not, last time I was there I vowed I wouldn't be going back unless it was of dire consequences. Then maybe I'd consider it. After all, nothing there for me now really." True, nothing for her on earth, even family.
Though she had to give a slight laugh and smiled as she turned her head to look at him. "All you have to do is injure me and then threaten me with sedatives."

"Okay then we'll just use the vr rooms. nothing that I would put you through if it means that much for you not to go."
then a chuckle, looking back at her.
"You know, I'd prefer not to injure you everytime I thnk your over stressed you know. I'd hoep I'd just be able to talk you into taking some time off eventually. maybe bribe you with this VR room."

"No offense James. Really. Me and Earth just have a bad repore with each other. Sure, I miss some things from it and all, but it's best not to stir up present or past issues for that matter."
She rubbed at her shoulder again, thinking that perhaps she was going to need that third combination of pain meds again. But she looked to him once more with another smile. "Hey, accidents happen you know. And if all else fails you can throw me over your shoulder and carry me here kicking and screaming."

"I'll opt for the kicking and screaming while I dragged you over here on my shoulder than possibly getting you hurt again. and don't worry abiut not wanting to go back to earth again. I don't blame you. after all the hell they've put you through they don't deserve teh pleasure of your company even on the planet as a whole."
A smile at her, and leaned over for a kiss, a nice, tender kiss between dating couples.
"Besides, I kind of like having you to myself, as it were, up here."

She just shook her head. "I think the planet would go into panic if I even thought about going back." Then a sigh from her at his affectionate little kiss and she leaned her head against his shoulder.
Then he got an actual girlish giggle from the good doctor. "You get me all to yourself because no one is foolish enough to fight you for me. Not to mention the lack of suitors but I like the first one better."

She got a chuckle and he looked over at her.
"Yes indeed. no one wants to challenge the seven foot tall cyborg for you. they''re just scared that I''ll smash them and throw them in a pile of broken bodies I keep in my ogrish cave in the back of Metamorphosis."
Another small laugh.
"But I''m not worried about that. all the more of you for me. of course I still gotta make the room for those children of yours."

Only made her laugh more. "Oh but James, they should know you don't keep a body pile, you're much to clean for that. Tell the truth now, you either dump them in space through an airlock or send them to the incinerator." She batted at his thigh lightly in a mock chastising fashion for his apparent lying.
A nod from her then in usual fashion with a little content sigh as well. "Oh I'm sure you all can learn to share me. You all can switch me off every other day and then compromise on extended periods of time with me." It really was appreciated by her that he knew that even though they were dating, she would still be stuck to her Echoes just as strongly.

"I'll be happy to trade off with them...or maybe just join them on thier days and get some attention for myself. I'll get a wolf costume and sit with the Fenrirs."

"Oh they like me...when I don't smell of Fenrir spit." Jelena rolled her eyes. One might of been surprised that she held no malice to the creature that really more or less tried to kill her, but if one knew her they understood. Like James stated, they were her children and bad behavior was just part of parent hood.
Another smile to him, yes she was indeed quite relaxed. Which was sort of a surprise to her really. Or maybe not, because she had company right now and wasn't left to her own aimless thoughts. But he earned another laugh from her.
"Now that I would pay to see. And I'm sure Erik would take pictures. Though I think the Fenrirs would find you a useful hunt teaching tool for those little pups...or rather not so little."

"I woudl do it too. I got no problem playing chewtoy to a bunch of big dogs if it got me a little more time with you. and hey, give you a good laugh to boot and try to relax you and keep you from driving yourself insane with DNA strands and data enteries and the like."

Wasn't he a find among men, really. She smiled rather cutely giving a little laugh to follow up at his petting. Yes, she was being rather free with her own emotions and actions as well, wasn't she?
"Much. You know...one doesn't know what they're doing to themselves until someone tells them to sit down, shut up, and take a look." A blink and then a thoughtful look. "I feel...I don't know, maybe lighter is the word I can go for. Not as worried about things." Oh lord, getting used to the relaxed feeling.

"Good, that's how your supposed to feel. it's good to be relaxed sometimes, without the constant pressure of a job on your shoulders. of course it can help with work to. sit back, relax, take a breather, and answers to problems you were struggling with sometimes become clear. Point being, you don't have to overstress yourself all the time. I coudl list medical reasons for it, but those are the mental ones. It's good for the mind and the soul to just relax and enjoy what's around you sometimes."
A small grin.
"Like your echoes. how often have you just watched them. not with intent of study or monitoring or things like that. but just watched them. marveled at the wonder of thier lives. I mean like watched the beautiful savagery of the Fenrir pack hunting. or seen just the magestic look of the dragon or the hippogryphs, without analyzing why they look like that or how big they are supposed to be. but just the wonder that they are."
