"It's the fact that the room is rather small compared to some and sure, the holographs are projected on all four surfaces but he can't get past the fact that it's a room with no windows and the like." She shrugged, simply following him again.
She just stood there when they got to a room and he punched in a code, watching the room shimmer a moment before it all kicked in. And for a moment she just looked around the new world that had been created around her, the advanced technology giving not only look but gave attention to the senses as well. Technology was wonderful.
Breathing a sigh she smiled, closing her eyes and listening for a moment. Wow..this really was relaxing. "You know...I've never been to the mountains. In all my life, never." So this was especially good. Oh yeah, she could relax to this.

He walked up and sat down on teh rocks, letting the water pour over his hand. amazing really how real it felt. the fact that there were itny mircoscopic nano machines actually working in thousands to really make the water flow. of course the second the program ended, they stoped and the water they produced stopped with it.
"I went to the mountians in my youth. this was what I remembered, from a trip by myself, backpacking. I used to sit up here, and just let all my fears, my concerns, my worries fade away."
A small smile to her.
"which of course is why I recreated it here. it's nice to be able to relax, and remember a time before all this. a time when I had both my arms..before I was even in the service. when times were much simpler."

Eyes still closed she took a seat on the ground, leaning her back against a rock. Her hand reached up, rubbing at her shoulder lightly as she gave a sigh and opened her eyes to look around, it truly was something nice. But it was easy to see that she was indeed already starting to relax.
This was like her Echo enclosures, except one thing, no Echoes. Jelena was often caught just sitting around those enclosures, trying to relax some but who could relax when a creature that loved you wouldn't leave you alone and prodded, nipped, scratched, and made noises at you all the time? No one, that was who.
But here, yeah this was nice. It had been quite some time since she visited a VR room. And James' little story was making it all the nicer really. Added a touch of emotion to the place. Jelena drew in a breath, holding it a moment before she let it out slowly, closing her eyes to let her other senses benefit once more. "I think I'm going to steal this code from you."

James smiled at her, watching her relax, and moved down to take a seat by her.
"Code for this is Serinity01. primary code of course is mountianscene."
A smile, laying back, closing his eyes and just enjoying the sounds and the gentleness of the scene, and reached over lightly, and patted Jelena's hand, looking over at her.
"I'm glad you enjoy it here. It's nice to know that not only is all the past for me battlegrounds and wartimes, and it's better to know that we share someplace together where we both can relax."

She opened her eyes to look at him as he moved and spoke, giving her the coding which she habitually nodded to. "Now that's something that I won't forget, that's for sure." But James has the right idea going and with a smile she followed suit, lying back as well, arms spread out, of course her right one lower because of the injury to it.
"And what's better than sharing a place you love with someone you have feelings for, right? Makes it all the better." Another sigh...hard to imagine that they were really just lying on a floor, but she never thought about it. Not when it was this good. "I could stay in this for a good long time."

"I'm sure you could."
He sat up some, on his side, and gently ran his finger along her jawline, smiling at her.
"feelings eh? so you are falling for an old soldier."
A grin and leaned over and gave her a kiss, smiling down at her.
"and this old soldier is falling for a young scientist."
A chuckle and back to laying in teh grassy area, hand behind his head, the other drumming on his chest lightly, listening to the birds...the mockingbird and the lark, the bluejay and the robin.

Of course at his touch she opened her eyes to look at him, emerald green depths looking for once different. More clear than usual. Obviously the look of someone who was easily getting into the setting and didn't have equations or theories on the brain. And his little kiss only made them look more so. "Remember, they call it falling for a reason."
Then the moment returned to it's quiet little peacefulness. She shifted position slightly to be lying on her side and then dug in her pocket. For what? Her OODDS. Yup, she had grabbed them earlier, but now she removed them from her person and set it aside. Apocalypse. "Defiantly could do this more often." A tag of relaxed drowsiness in her voice.

James gave a smile, one eye opened to see her set aside her OODDS, before back to closing them both and just relaxing.
"It's a great way to just wind down after a busy day. or a nice soothing place to think about nothing. just enjoy a place that time forgot here. beauty of the natural world, birds singing and cascading water."
A look over at her, and a grin.
"And I do believe you are getting quite relaxed, Jelena."

"Mmhmm." That was her answer of confirmation to him that she was indeed getting quite relaxed. Wonderful wonderful VR room...and she was actually using one to relax, not to create a vast wasteland to scream her frustration to or a dark cave to cry in. Just relaxing in a breezy mountain setting with nothing to think about at all.
That was except for the occasional pangs of pain from her arm...Jelena had half a mind to go to the medics and get a dose of nanomachines to repair the damage in one quick day, good as new and back to work. Of course the other half of her mind reminded her...that this was nice.
Good lord she could fall asleep right here and the cruiser could go down, the whole Fleet into chaos and she doubted she would even blink an eye.

James got himself up, careful not to disturb the drowsy half asleep Jelena, and moved to teh outvropping that looked over a virtual world, a valley of forest between moutainous terrain, and gave a small grin. a little speed up vr time, so he coudl enjoy a sunset. watch the sky go from crisp blue to shades of orange, purple, red and yellow. watching as th moutainous area and hte forests below blended and refrated those colors on thier surfaces..quite a sight, even for a vr room.

She didn't really seem to care and more or less rolled over to her stomach, resting her head on one arm, the other still closer to her side at regular position because of her injury. Yeah, she would be using this simulation a lot...well when she took days off that was.
"James...is two plus two still four?" Her way of checking if the world was still there and still making logical sense around her really.

That got a chuckle, and he looked bak over at her, smiling lightly.
"Yes, two plue two is four. unless you agree to the theory that the sum is greater than the whole of it's parts, then two plus two is five."
He smiled and patted the space beside him.
"Want to watch the sunset with me?"

"Well I meant basically, of course it equals five as well but I don't really want to get into that discussion with you. That would remind me of work, now wouldn't it?" Opening her eyes she looked to him with a smile then pulled herself up, walking over to where he was as he beckoned her over.
"Sunset...haven't seen one of those in a long time either...wow I need to get out more often don't I?" Funny she never really thought about all the things she didn't do anymore since she got out of college, or was still in college for that matter.

"Yes you do. you work yourself way too hard, Jelena. you know if you were in the service, they'd be giving your forced leave. that where they give you a chunk of cash, throw you off base, take away all your ids and security tags and say you have two weeks, go enjoy it and if you try to get back on base we shoot you."
A chuckle, and he gently pulled her down to have a seat to watch the blazing oranges and reds and yellows intensify but slowly fade away as the sun continued to set into the blues, purples and blacks of an evening sky.
"Happened to me a few times. I was in communications before I got my augment in Meta...so I would spend days infront of a computer trying to crack codes or get around securities. lived on soda and hotpockets."

"But in the service you're not doing what you do alone. Like you, sure you were in communications breaking codes and the like, and you may have been the best at it, but you weren't the only one doing what you were doing. I am. I'm the only one who can even fully comprehend this Project really, and it's my responsibility to hold this thing together. Talk to a few other Project leaders, you'll hear they're equally stressed." There she was, justifying herself again.
But she gave a sigh and let him pull her down to sit, leaning against him slightly. And she went quiet for a moment just watching all the colors that that sunset was composed do their thing. Flare and fade away, falling from one stage of the day to the other. Of course in accommodation of the time, the environment sounds took a change too.
"It's beautiful, isn't it? Something so simple and something that we often take for granted. Things like this. You know...you never really know how isolated you are from everything else until you're in one of these room and knowing that this is a close as you'll ever get again if you intend to stay up here. And most of us have no choice but to stay up here..."
