The expression Erin wore on his face showed a hint of nervousness. Benjamin sighed, also trying to grasp on what else to say. While the half-demon was an intelligent being, it didn't mean that he was spared from having to deal with difficulties in facing emotions that were complex to begin with. "Well, there was nothing much going on after that, though I have moved to Soleil around six months ago. This has become my home, and I like the places here. In fact, I'll be willing to show you some recommendations if you wish," he spoke. The Captain's Deck was an exception, at least for now, because that was where he first that enchanting bartender before the departure commenced. If he would like to drink himself silly, there was the wine that he still has in the fridge.
"Plus, my home is at the Ombre Housing District. I can show you the place," there was another suggestion coming along from Ben himself. In case Erin might ask about the orchids in his room, he wold simply say that a friend gave it to him, a half-lie to the story that the two might share. That was, if Erin was willing to be more welcoming towards Ben's new life. The new chapters still had to be written, after all.

☆═━┈┈┈┈Money: $1200┈┈┈┈━═☆ So Benjamin hasn't been here very long. For whatever reason this made Erin feel a bit more comfortable. It wasn't like he just wandered back into Benjamin's hometown. "I just moved here last week. Finally got settled in before the storm hit." The young man laughed lightly, though it sounded more like the giggle of a high school girl. Erin continued drinking the tea as Benjamin offered to show him around town. Now he was conflicted. He didn't really like the idea of being given a tour by his ex, but he was very new to Soleil, and he did want to check out the nightlife. Besides, he was over the whole misunderstanding at this point. The confrontation he had wanted did not pan out very well. Erin simply didn't have it in him to be upset for very long, or even severely.
What was surprising was when Benjamin offered to show Erin around the Ombre district...where he lived. Erin had almost choked on the tea, trying to spill it as he brought the back of his right hand to his mouth. Not that he was opposed to it...but should he? After everything that happened, it seemed a little odd. Yet, it was curious all the same. With his mind racing about what it meant exactly, the psychic cleared his throat. "Well...that's a bit forward don't you think?" Erin looked down, now gripping the cup with both hands near his waist. His lame attempt at a joke was probably more awkward than anything, and now he was blushing a bit from the embarrassment. Quickly attempting to recover himself, he spoke up before Benjamin could get a word in edge-wise. "Sorry. I mean. I would love to if I wouldn't be intruding...I know I just dropped back in unexpectedly..." *̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥Status: Single*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥⌣̣̣̣̥*̣̣̣̥

Last week? That was somehow plausible. Plus, the fact that Erin wasn't totally against the idea provided Ben with a little more comfort, as well as motivation to repair the bond as much as he could, even with the fact that he was indeed a bit too straightforward. "I actually hadn't invited someone in my house for a long time, actually. Books have been my company," he responded, then let out a soft sigh, mainly because of contemplation. It was actually a half-lie; Night had been his last company before most things went down south for the half-demon. He scribbled a note leading to Ben's address and handed it over to Erin, "This is the address to my house, though my shift will not be over till afternoon. You are free to go home earlier if you still wish." A few seconds later, he was called by a co-worker, since a new customer came by to ask for his help, and Ben game Erin one last smile before he walked away, "Well, see you later at my house."
Some time later, Ben's shift was finally over, and after preparing himself for the clock out from work, he put on his rain gear and left the store via his bike. Even the rain wouldn't stop him for the impromptu sleepover with Erin, though he wouldn't do something crazy except for the private talk between them.

Medith heaved a stressed sigh as she stepped into Bookworm's, the only place she could think of visiting ever since she was thrown into this inconvenience. Although she dared not to wander the deafening streets of the city, or initiate the simplest of conversation, she came to the conclusion that if she doesn't do both, or atleast one, of the aforementioned, neither will she be able to survive nor will she find an escape route. Thus, after gathering all the confidence and assurance that she can muster, she ultimately exposed herself to the invigorating breeze and placating sunlight. It sparked a weird sensation in her chest that slightly tamed the uncomfortable malaise that had her all panicky and clumsy, one of the two feelings she detested the most. Warmth, was it? She never was able to identify it during her silent amble to her destination.
Instantaneously, Medith's perpetual reverie has been shattered into small smithereens as she roughly bumped into one of the customers, almost making the disgruntled woman spill the collection of books gathered in her arms. Without an apology, Medith only managed to coldly glare at the young lady as she complained, brushing her off as she resumed her skimming for a book of interest. Eventually, her gaze stopped on one title that seemed to make a gleam radiate in her irises. "Origami", it read. Medith's hand subconciously trailed downwards to clutch the satchel that was lackadaisically resting on her hip. She made sure to fill it with paper so she can practice her skills whenever she felt the unsatisfied urge to grab any near object and use it to her liking. Which was, of course, to turn the place into a bloodshed, something that she is trying to suppress with all her will. Not only for that reason, the incessant beeps of her bracelet was taunting her, reminding her that she could suffer a painful zap at any moment. A hint of a grin contorted Medith's lips as she grabbed a hold of the book, fingers feeling the softness of the pages as she examined the information within. However, hapless Medith's expression turned from sheer excitement to simmering irritability in a second when an epiphany slapped her in the face. Will she be able to afford it? Much to her chagrin, that was a big, fat, merciless no. All of her money was spent on countless of her necessities, which left her broke at the moment. Muttering a string of vulgar cursewords, Medith felt the need to slam the book into the ground out of sheer anger as passing customers threw all kinds of looks her way.

It was once again another day at work for Ben inside the bookstore. To be fair, he was in good spirits after the recent encounter with Oz; his companionship helped a bit in moving on from his current memories with Erin. His breakfast before leaving the house had been special, eggs Benedict together with Earl Grey tea. As he finally showed up at the shop after clocking in and leaving his bag inside the employee area, he greeted the co-workers with a 'good morning'. Though among the customers that showed up, there was one female who seemed too focused on something. However, there was the expression etched on her face that rubbed the others the wrong way. With steady steps, Benjamin approached the other though still maintaining a safe distance between the two.
"Excuse me, miss. Is there anything that requires assistance?" he asked. The reply would end up either in form of ignorance or conversing with him with something that she would actually need. Hopefully, Ben wouldn't end up rubbing the woman the wrong way, considering all he did was ask with such a professional manner with no ill intentions towards her whatsoever. Ben's taste was still towards men considering his homosexual nature, but he wouldn't mind having some female friends along if he could find someone with the similar interests that he has.

Aki had been looking for a particular cook book, and another book to spend the time with on her leisure hours. Not to mention a new specific textbook that was demanded by her new online classes. But as she stood at the entrance of the store with wide eyes and a quizzical expression and staring at the shelves upon shelves of books, she simply didn’t know where to start. Well, first she will need that text book. It should contain a code that would allow her to enter a website and use the various utilities online. Next would be her cookbook. She had been taking classes just to learn advance methods of cooking, not just baking, and knew that the book would have to be one of their choice, instead of adhering to a listed standard. The last thing she was looking for as the 3rd book was a novel. Something to read when she had time to herself. Perhaps something sophisticated and challenging to read. She had no idea what she would find, but the day was wearing thin and the closing hours drew near. She would need to move now if she were to be home on time. She made a slight dash towards the textbook sections, and began perusing the layers upon layers of shelves filled with books.

Age: 23 Orientation: Bisexual Status: Healthy Address: 1225 Pasadena --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- It was still relatively early when Ayluin had left to go to the bookstore. Dressed as dry as possible with a raincoat and umbrella along he decided to have a look at the shop. On his visit to some places to gleam information about the fruit for both himself and Rowan, the elf was tipped off that this place had books about the exact same fruit. Quickly getting inside, then shaking off his umbrella just outside the store, and closing the door, Ayluin turned and as he took off the hood of his rain coat he looked around the shop an expression of surprise over his features. "This place is bigger than I expected." he mumbled to himself and walked further inside. Once recovered from the initial surprise, the young man walked by the shelves, looking to see if there were clear sections.
Thankfully it would turn out they had, so Ayluin shifted his focus to looking for any section that might refer to the mystery fruit or myths in general. After a while of scanning book covers and titles, he finally arrived at a promising area and as he went by the books, his finger gently caressing passed the titles he found a book that looked promising. "Aha." Ayluin muttered and smiled as he took the book out of the row and read the back of it. It held a summary about several myths around Soleil including one that spoke of a Nanao fruit. The elf had no certainty it was the fruit he had heard about, but it was a promising lead and he did love his myths. So he put the book under his arm to buy later and continued scanning for more books about myths.
It would seem he was indeed in the right section because many books here referred to different myths and legends and some seemed to be even about just the Nanao fruit, increasing Ayluin's confidence he had indeed the right fruit in mind from the Bard's stories. The main reason he came here to research more about it as it had caught his interest by the song. The distance from his old home was just a convenient bonus.
Setsuko let out a soft sigh as she opened the door to the bookstore, closing her umbrella before stepping inside. She was readily prepared for the rain, hoodie, umbrella and rain boots. She was just glad that it was just rain and not a thunderstorm, a shiver running up her spine at the thought. Her blue eyes started to glow as she made her umbrella levitate just behind her, freeing her hands up to grab books. Speaking of she had known of Bookworm's for a while but this had been the first time she visited it. Normally she hung around the library uptown but figured actually buying some books that she could keep would be nice. Especially volumes of some of her favorite manga that she didn't have to check out and return. Though the gracious checkout limit of 50 was nice sometimes. She had even picked up books on learning to play the guitar and violin, since she had pretty much mastered the ukulele she figured learning another instrument or two could be fun. However she soon had to return the books and so had come here to see if she could find similar books. And if she happened to pick up She strolled through the aisle, running her fingers along the spines of the books. Luckily it didn't take her long to find two hardcover instruction books. Her lips quirked up in a smile as the books would soon join her umbrella in floating behind her. With that goal completed she wandered around the store some more on the hunt for more reading material. It was fitting for such a bookworm to be in a shop named such a thing. After picking up a couple manga volumes, joining her other items, her wandering found her in a section that was dedicated to myths and legends. She knew about the majority of Japanese mythology and a little bit of Greek but she wasn't well versed in other cultures myths. As she walked down the aisle looking over the books, she quickly noticed someone nearby. Being a naturally quiet person she was able to silently move a bit closer to what appeared to be a elven young man. She moved to grab a book off the shelf before trying to start a conversation, clearing her throat to catch the man's attention, "Legends and history can be quite interesting wouldn't you say?" she said softly with a smile.

OOC: Lol ye, his people are not like them High Elves. Still their lengths are about as varied as a humans among elves.
--:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Where: Bookworm Store With: Someone new Age: 23 Orientation: Bisexual Status: Looking for books on the Nanao Fruit, talking to Setsuko Address: 1225 Pasadena --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- It felt much better to be inside the shop than out there in the rain. Ayluin wasn't much used to places as these yet. Having so many humans around him at first was kind of daunting, but he quickly learned they were not very unlike the elves he knew back home. The moods and personalities differed but so far he had yet to run afoul of the bad kind. Considering such, the elf only count himself even more virtuous to have found a place between men, rather than the trees and the walls of the castle. Ayluin was so focused on finding the right books however, he quickly forgot he wasn't alone. Part of him was still accustomed to their personal library.
The young man didn't even realize someone was near him until he heard a sound nearby which startled him slightly as he just picked a book up from the shelve, dropping it to the ground and he turned rather quickly. Once he looked in the direction of the voice however he sighed in relief. It had only been a harmless girl. Though then his gaze caught on on the items floating behind her and her glowing eyes. The elf frowned slightly in wonder. So a girl that levitate. Before he could lose himself in those thoughts completely however, the elf realized she had spoken too and he hadn't replied yet, only stared.
"Oh.." he said as if he just snapped out of his train of thoughts. "I am sorry, you surprised me." he apologized and explained. "I agree that Legends and History can be intriguing. Yet it is a specific Legend I am looking for. Still like you say, it is all interesting." he finally managed a smile to her now he had recovered from the initial startle. "Are you here for some research material too?" he then asked as he fully turned towards the woman that had spoken to him. Ayluin wasn't about to be rude after all. He was raised to be quite a gentleman. His father would be cross if they ever found out just how much their son had changed since he left their home.
Setsuko took a half step back as the elven man dropped his book on the ground, feeling worried that she had startled him. Though if he was she could certainly relate, there had been many a time when she had been reading and someone had managed to sneak up on her. Quickly crouching down she picked up his book and held it out to him. She blinked for a moment before waving one of her hands rapidly her face lighting up in a pink blush, "Oh no please there's no need to apologize, I should've been more careful in my approach so as not to surprise you." she said and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. When the man mentioned looking for a specific legend she tilted her head to the side, "Ah is that so? Which legend are you looking into?" she asked curiously. There were many different books so it could be any kind of legend that he was searching for. She took a brief notice of some of the titles on the shelves, a few were about the fruit said to bond soulmates, for the life of her she couldn't remember the name but she quickly shook the thought away. It was usually never wise to make assumptions. Her lips quirked up in a smile once asked if she was doing research of her own. "Oh yes I am!" She turned towards her floating stack of books, grabbing the two how-to books before turning back to him, "I've been playing the ukulele for a few years now, and recently I've felt the desire to learn a new instrument. So I decided to pick up a book on how to play guitar as well as one to play the violin. I was honestly quite indecisive about which one I wanted to learn and figured that learning both could be a fun challenge. I told my parents about my intentions and they've sent me both a guitar and a violin. They've always been rather supportive of my hobbies and interests." she explained putting the books back. "Other than that I don't have many research-esque books. It's mostly just manga for my collections. Though I might pick up a book on mythology, it's been a while since I've had a good read on another cultures myths and legends."

OOC:He is (officially) the prince of the Saelan Elves, a character from the book I am writing that I adjusted to employ here. Same goes for Damen and, Robin and Zayid.

Already he had gathered a small stack. But right after he turned back towards her and smiled a bit. "I was reading the back of the book and didn't hear you come by." the elf admitted. Though she seemed curious to what he was looking into. "At home I heard a bard about a mysterious fruit, though not why or how. I got curious so decided to learn about it. The other legends and myths are a bonus. This place is really interesting." the young man said about Soleil and chuckled a bit considering his zeal to even travel to unknown lands to quench his thirst of knowledge.
He listened to her reply and smiled. "Ah, a musician. That is quite impressive to be learning not one but three instruments." he replied to her. "I can play the piano, but personally prefer singing." he agreed and smiled a bit. "My father would be cross with me if he saw me like this." he said before he offered his hand to the other as he had with Rowan, though he kept in mind they might react the same. He knew little of Soleil after all. "My name is Ayluin, I am relatively new to this town." he introduced himself.
Setsuko crossed her arms over her chest as her suspicions were confirmed. She let out a thoughtful hum and rocked on the back of her heels. "A bard you say? Hmm whomever was performing might've visited the city, or even just the Island the fruit is supposedly on sometime in the past. I can't think of much other way for someone to find out about besides word of mouth, which is what drew you out here. You seem like quite the inquisitive individual." she said with a smile. She herself had heard of the Nanao fruit and while she wasn't sure if such a thing truly existed, the mere thought of it was truly fascinating. She let out a soft laugh and nodded, "Well I suppose in the recent years I've become quite the ambitious." She listened intently to the young man speak of playing the piano and singing, "Singing definitely is quite a nice pastime, Honestly I've always been on the more creative side of things. Besides musical talents I also dance, cook and sew clothes. In fact I made this hoodie that I'm wearing." she explained, rubbing the back of her head. Noticing him holding his hand out, she reached out to gently grasp it with her own, giving a brief handshake. "Well it's quite nice to meet you Ayluin, my name is Setsuko. I've lived here a few months now, so if you ever need someone to show you around I'd be happy to help."
