By the way, Kraeela:
That's an awesome layout. If it were a woman, I'd make love to it.

alicemae Jahoclave My palet is pretty much booked. Two essays for college us. Four Response journals for College Comp by the 17th. We're starting another project in College Comp on Monday. And I also need to write a short story for the contest before the end of october. So unless you want reviews on magazine articles I can't offer you much more than a column. Aww, I was afraid of something like that. I guess I'll hafta settle for the column then, hehe. But, mind you, I'm only letting you off this easy due to that awesome Code of the Ninja brainchild of yours. ninja Go ninja go ninja go! Well, an easier way for you to take care of this problem would be to eliminate a certain b***h of a teacher that thinks High School seniors need to be treated like children and be given a bunch of pointless assignments to boost our grades. She goes on an on about how college is going to be like with very few grades. Now mind you this is supposed to be a college level course. Then she goes on about how she's being so nice and giving us all these projects to bring up our grades. I don't think she realizes that these projects are actually bringing down most of the class's grades because their pointless, stupid, and we don't want to do them.

Jahoclave goes on an on about how college is going to be like with very few grades. Huh? Where's she get that from? Well, I suppose there's some truth to that, depending on the Professor's teaching style. But from what I've seen, most of my profs. give us projects and homework twice a week. Except for two how don't give any homework whatsoever, but your grade for the class pretty much depends on how well you do on their monthly tests. (Which I think is better for me personally, since I'm better at test-taking than homework-remembering)

Except I already said that. me It should be a Halloween special of the Gaian Press. Horror-based stories and the like. That'd be rockin'.

(What font did you use for the TGP topbanner on the site draft? We've needed a banner redo for awhile, as I can't find the original font to make new ones.)

Hell she honestly believes that a proffesor asigns her daughter over 1000 pages to read in a weekend. Nobody in their right mind would ever asign that many pages. It's so counter-productive it isn't even funny.

Oh, since NaNoWriMo is starting next month, and it seems a lot of Gaians are participating maybe we could do a feature on that? Then for the next issue, we could follow it up with what participants thought of it? Like who was able to complete, who wasn't, maybe they could submit parts of their work etc.
It'd be a good way to actively involve the community.

Of course nano always comes during project month at my school. I honestly don't get why teachers believe in "fun projects." They aren't fun, and they always detract away from my having fun time.

I'm going to be completely out of commission for most of November because of that. Maybe I could give insights to the life of a NaNoer, but that's pretty much it. Crud, as soon as the TGIO party is gone, I have a research paper to do. xp

Oh oh oh oh ARAI!!!!
What about...mmm...
A running diary of Nano? A daily would be nice but would take up way too much space. Weekly!
That'd be four entries, perfect for the Press.
Yes!!!!!
During Nano, at the end of each week make a diary entry of how you felt, what you feel for the next weeks, how you're doing, what you're learning etc etc etc.
That way you can participate and not feel guilty about not working on the Press. wink
There's also a Nano guild here on Gaia, maybe we could ask their President/Leader/watchamacallit to write up a how to or guide for our October issue?
