Kollette-4-Life I'm pretty sure that marked the end of the battle. Pleas correct me if I'm wrong. Not yet, because Seedot is still alive for the time being. Poor Seedot. Just because he's a foot tall, everyone overlooks him.

The total EXP from this battle comes out to 6400 words/6400 EXP. *whistles* This means: Megumi: Lv8, 48/900 --> Lv13, 948/1400 (Wrap, Growth) Sukete: Lv5, 0/600 --> Lv11, 800/1200 (Howl, Sand-Attack) Zyga: Lv5, 307/600 --> Lv11, 507/1200 (Tail Whip, Headbutt) Luce: Lv6, 0/600 --> Lv12, 100/1300 (Double Team, Teleport) These level gains are too steep to go unrewarded to Seedot, Espeon, Minun, and Lotad, especially since we ought to keep moving forward in the story! Espeon and Minun were able to take out a Pokemon each, and looking at the level gap for this, I think that this time (and maybe for Group Battles in general?) we should bend the rules and offer half points to the losers. This way, 3200 EXP would go to the losing team: Espeon: Lv8, 843/900 --> Lv11, 1043/1200 (According to B2W2, it learns Confusion at Lv9; otherwise, the move is learned at Lv15) Seedot: Lv4, 0/500 --> Lv8, 600/900 (Growth) Minun: Lv6, 608/700 --> Lv10, 408/1100 (Quick Attack, Helping Hand) Lotad: Lv5, 0/600 --> Lv9, 600/1000 (Absorb, Nature Power) After we rest up at the Pokemon Center, what say we troop on through the Petalburg Forest and train there before moving on to Rustboro? Btw, I'm out all tomorrow for Debate.

Thats very generous of you, if a tad unrealistic. but we'll go with it XD And even though we're technically going by Gen 5 rules, since we're in Hoenn I'll play by Gen 3 rules. That said I'll hold off on Confusion until 15 ^^ makes it that much more worthwhile

(Ohh, Wurmple-jumpings galore--and maybe a Dustox for lols, to put them to sleep until Minun zaps them awake. biggrin ) If we're going by Gen3 rules, do moves like Leaf Storm exist?

Since this isn't a spammable game, where we can level-grind as much and as easily as we can in the Pokemon games or farm for money (by selling stuff/battling endless NPC Trainers), I propose that in battles, the losing team gets half the total EXP (since that's a lot of EXP to waste) and that wild Pokemon can be found holding items and especially lost Poke. There are a relative lack of NPC Trainers in this game (that we want to play) and I think Pokemon would be attracted to shiny coins like that. Perhaps we can also allow our Pokemon to find items randomly in 'dungeon' environments as well.

Perhaps we can also allow our Pokemon to find items randomly in 'dungeon' environments as well. I believe that is a good idea for the losing team. I believe that there would have to be some work involving the chances of wild items, and a system that generates how much stray Poké is found from wild Pokémon. And finding loose items in forests and caves is entirely possible, though I'm sure we'd have to state which Pokémon is outside the Poké Ball, and a list would have to be constructed for each forest/cave, since those would be the most likely of places for people to lose their belongings... But otherwise, I don't see any issue with the above concerns. It'll just take a bit of teamwork.

Maybe we could use two 20's for encounter posts or once every two weeks if our own 'released' Pokemon (defined in a post or the first in the team list) randomly find something: 1-6: Poke 7-11: Berry 12-14: Poke Mart item (ie Antidote, Escape Rope...) 15-17: Poke Ball 18-19: nothing 20: TM Each number on the second 20 increases the max amount of findable Poke by 5 (base max 30) or shifts the range of findable berries or TMs by 5 (up to #99). Poke Ball types to be found are Poke (1-10), Great (11-15), Ultra (17-19), and any $1000 ball at 20. For instance, I would just have gotten one of the rarest (#95-99} berries. What a find!

I think I understand what you are getting at. The first die is for the general kind of item, and the second is for the specific item itself. IE: If I rolled a sixteen and a four, then I'd get one Poké Ball. (If I am correct) And also, I'm doing what I can to maintain the time of day/weather, and will make changes as needed.

In the games, a lot of the time you'll find up to 10 or 20 of something in those poke balls/boxes (Colosseum/XD). Perhaps copy and paste all that info from Nin.'s post onto another thread in the "Newbies Go Here" page. Roll 3 dice: 1-What item, 2-what KIND it is, 3-how many. Or would that get too confusing?

Riku: Correct! *claps* Also, want to help me clean up the Abilities post? http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=22772429#344813243Death: I think that would be too much of a mess. Besides, Pokemon can only hold one item, barring clothing (which isn't even in Gen3 XD). I updated the first post in Battle System and added the Random Item Get and Abilities post to the Battle System. The whole thing got a major overhaul, so you all ought to check it out. Btw, should Agility and other Speed-boosters move the Pokemon up in attacking order or add numbers progressively to the misspool for the opponent?
