The light had heard the knock on the door and if it could smirk, it would have. "Ha! Busted! You better leave or hide, or the headmistress is going to flay you alive, even if you are a god! Better yet, stay right where you are! I want to see this!"

But before Ares could do anything, Ever had swung the bathroom door open. Her hair was in a twist on top of her head and she had on a robe, a long and fluffy pink one this time. It had Bai Ching embroidered on the breast pocket.

Ever's head swiveled in the direction of the door, but her eyes caught the light beside Ares. It was one of the light fairies or spirits from the lake! She couldn't be sure which one it was, but she recognized the figure from the many nights she had gazed at the lake. One was here, in her room! How amazing! Maybe she'd get a chance to speak with it!

But first, she had to answer the door. Ever waved violently with her hand in Ares' direction, indicating for him to hide, and then walked over to the door. She didn't glance back to see if Ares had hidden. She couldn't not answer the door any longer without looking suspicious. She just hoped that he was hiding by now.

Finally, Ever opened the door and blinked in surprise when she saw Ari standing before her. "Ari? Ari! Hi! What are you doing here?"

"E-Ever?" Ari said, visibly shocked. What the hell?! "I, uh, I heard a guy in here... and I was wondering if you were ok? I mean... Mein Gott!" she said in German. She just realized this was the same room as the previous night. Wow. How much more awkward could this get? She nervously fiddled with her necklace.

Ever had no idea what the last part of what Ari had said meant, but she got the rest of it just fine. Too fine.

Her cheeks were flaming red in embarrassment and she was scratching her head, trying to think of some kind of explanation.

"Oh... really? Huh that's.... oh! You must have heard my movie! I'm so sorry! I didn't realize I had it on that loud. I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean! I fell asleep watching it last night, so I was trying to finish it now."

Aurora just tilted her head at Caroline. "I don't walk that fast," she said. She stood and walked over to the girl, wondering how it was that she was already exhausted--and only from walking, too! "Are you alright?" She remembered getting a note about having a roommate. This must be her. Caroline Enlil.

Underneath the bed, Ares was cursing everything. Apparently, Ari had... ah, heard last night. If that made sense. And on top of that, she'd just heard his conversation with that stupid damn fairy.

Ever's eyes widened at what Ari had to say. A device in the lake being activated?! Holy crap! This was being talked about in her own room and she had missed it?! She needed information, and Ari would probably be the only one to give it to her.

Ever stuck her head out into the hallway, looked around, and upon not seeing anyone else, she stepped back from the door to allow Ari to come inside. She knew that she'd be able to feel Ever move to the side and would take that as a gesture to come inside.

She closed the door after Ari and then sighed. "Ares, you can come out now. No point in hiding."

Ares sighed and decided to just teleport from under the bed instead of rolling all over the floor some more. So, he reappeared, the air shimmering before he was visible sitting liesurely on the edge of the bed. "...Hello."
