As he pondered on the troubling thoughts that plagued his mind, something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention, turning around to see what it was that had distracted him so. His eyebrows perked slightly as he spotted a young girl who looked strangely familiar running down the hill, and a man who's figure he could not make out further back. As she drew closer, her form became clearly visible, instantly bringing back the memory of the time he had briefly met her. He gave a light chuckle, mumbling to himself, "Wow, talk about miracles." and gave her a wave, leaving Lunarexion where he stood as he walked over in her direction, eager to hear from her how things were unfolding outside of their realm, as true news seldom reached the ears of the people of Rohan now.

Elrothiel stopped as she reached him, in true elven style she was not even out of breath. "Greetings Eroswyn of Rohan." she said with a grin, looking him over. He looked well, if graver than she remembered. "How goes things in Rohan?" she asked quickly.

A faint smile passed over his lips as he studied her over curiously to find that she still seemed pretty much the same, but carried the aura of a more battle hardened warrior than before. "Greetings Elrothiel, it is a pleasure to see you again." At her inquiry of the events in Rohan, his eyes appeared to lose their liveliness, his head turning away as he replied with a somewhat regretful tone. "Not well...Grima Wormtongue has cast a spell over King Theoden and all of Rohan, banishing his only opposition, Theoden's nephew, from Rohan, along with those who supported him. We simply stay behind our walls now, losing our lands to the clutches of Saruman's Uruk-Hai. I myself wish to leave this place...I am considered a warmongering heretic, an outcast for my beliefs in driving back the Uruks. But enough about the ill being of Rohan, how are things outside our borders?"

Elrothiel's smile faded as he spoke about Rohan. "Not as well as we could have hoped either." she said, "Something big is happening in Gondor by all accounts and my companions and I were intending to follow a couple of your riders there. There are lots of rumours about orc movement in the south and I've witnessed some of the Uruk-Hai moving myself. We've run into several large groups since I saw you last." She sighed. "The news you give is worse however. If Saruman has a foothold in Rohan..." She didn't need to say that with Saruman on one side and Sauron on the other, all opposition could easily be crushed.

"Indeed, and our two kingdoms cannot even remember the old alliances of old. How can we even stand a chance if we do not band together? But I feel the hammerstroke is about to fall upon Rohan...on the clearest of days you can see northern Fangorn burn, the lumber more than likely being used to muster a great army. But these are enough bad tidings for one day, it is good to see you as beautiful as ever Elrothiel. Where do you and your company intend to head now? If you need horses, I can supply you with them, but I have a favor to ask of you. Allow me to accompany you on your journey, wherever it may lead. My exile draws near if I stay here, and I tire of staying here doing nothing. Hopefully coming with you will give me the answers I seek." Turning his gaze back to Elrothiel, his gloved hands come forward to remove his helmet of the Rohirrim, placing it on the ground beside them. "Even though my loyalties lie with Rohan, I cannot serve a king who has been decieved openly.."

"Come with us and welcome." Elrothiel said, putting her hand on his arm in comfort. "We ride to Gondor to find out what is happening in Mordor. Minas Tirith is the old stronghold and if we are going to make a difference to the outcome of this war, we might as well make a stand there." She looked back towards the Edoras. "We could use the horses if you can get them as well."

At her action, Eroswyn gave the girl a light smile, before walking over to Lunarexion, hopping up effortlessly upon his back. At the sound of a horn, his head snaps back, looking behind him to spot a group of two Rohirrim riding towards him, the same two that had hampered his advancement at the gate. He knew they had not come here for a simple social visit, now having the excuse they needed to arrest him. He already knew they would claim he was meeting with a spy of the Dark Lord, so acquiring horses from Edoras was simply out of the question. Looking back at Elrothiel with a somewhat worried look, his hand reaches out to her, gesturing for her to take it. "Come, I know a place where we can acquire a few mounts. Grima now has his excuse to banish me, so we must flee. Come with me."

Earlier, In the forest
Silently, Ranu moved to where his companions horses were, and took his pack from beside them. Inside was his stolen armour, and his precious map. Swinging it over his left shoulder, he slipped his bow and quiver into the hoop he'd made in said pack to save him carrying it, then picked up his sword, buckling it onto his rope belt. Hitching up his trousers, he looked around to watch his companions silently. Lowering his eyes, he let out a soft sigh, then whispered softly, "Farewell and good luck," then turnt and vanished silently into the forest. He'd miss them, but not so much as to even consider changing his mind. Their plans seemed to consist of westward travel, while he felt he was needed south-east.
Four hours later. Just south east of Fangorn [I'm following a different time running, because I've split off. I'll get it back inline with you guys later, 'kay?]
It was atleast four hours after he'd left the others, and he'd not rested once. His feet were already blistering, and sweat was pouring off his face from the unexpectedly hot sun. His pack had rubbed a sore patch into his left shoulder, so he'd switched to his right, but it had swiftly cut one into that shoulder aswell. He didn't really mind. Ranu Blackheart was back on the move.

Elrothiel looked back at the riders with a worried frown before grasping his hand firmly. The logic of them arresting him as a traitor because he was talking to an elf escaped her but she knew Saruman well enough to know that he'd want anyone with any sense of loyalty instantly banished. She was also feeling slightly guilty for providing them with an excuse. She swung herself up onto the horse behind him. Not a good start, she thought, casting another glance backwards at the rapidly approaching riders.

Nessa's blue-gtray eyes wandered over what she could see of the rolli8ng plains. The grass was less green, but she noticed that the horses were being able to eat well enough. She could hear nothing but the steady trikle of the stream, the whisper of the cool breeze across the taller grass, and Tyson's breathing as her companion sat near her. Ness'a bay horse came over to her side, brushing his blood brown muzzle against her shoulder as a way of comfort. Nessa patted the horse lightly on the strip oh his face.
Tyson jumped of the rock, his black boots crunching under the drier area of grass. "Let's move out," he instructed simply, whisteling to get his horse's attention. The gray horse cocked his head before gracefully trotting over to Tyson to allow his to mount.
Nessa followed suit, mounting as well and ajusting one of her leather gauntlants, messing with the strap of it. She put the regns in her hand and clicked her tounge and the two were off on their journey again.

Eroswyn took off with the elf as soon as she had mounted, quickly gaining a good lead ahead of the riders but still going at full speed, lest they become in bow range. He knew full well that he could try to explain that she was not a spy, for never once had he heard of an elf serving the Dark Lord, but even had he tried, he would still be brought before Grima, which would hamper his intentions as well as Elrothriel's. "This is not an uncommon thing in this land now, brothers fighting against brothers." He said those words as he continued to ride, fast approaching the small farm that held his very own steeds, the riders now nothing but a faint silhouette across the plains, and seemed to be stopping, turning around to more than likely head back to Edoras to report to King Theoden, though it was no hidden thing they were taking orders from Grima. They had to act fast before a full pursuit was mounted against them. They soon arrived at the farm, which on first sight appeared abandoned, but there could be heard a ruckus in the house, more than likely his servant making his daily meal. He knew they didn't have time to stop by for a social visit, so he continued straight to the stables, stopping Lunarexion just outside the gate as he jumped off, extending his hand towards Elrothiel in a friendly gesture to help her down.

She accepted his assistance for courtesy's sake, although she didn't really need his help to dismount. She followed him towards the stables, the crease in her brow showing that she was deep in thought. She was deeply troubled by Grima's control which was evidently stronger than she'd feared. "So it would seem." She replied, and then abruptly changed the subject. "But where do Eomer and his followers ride to?"

He sighed at the mention of Eomer, who was a close friend of his, though he did not have the luxury of dwelling on that thought. "The last anyone has heard of him was that he was sighted in the Westfold pursuing a band of Uruk-Hai westward across the plains, and that's all I know. Here, take your pick of any of my horses, you may choose whomever you wish." He stopped at the fence, glancing curiously at her as he quickly opened the gate, the old wood creaking as it swung back.

She stepped through the gate quickly and moved along the row of horses, not certain what she was looking for. About halfway down the row she paused and stepped back slightly, looking into the stall of a black stallion. She eyed him with approval. He was completely black and his muscled legs suggested he was built for endurance rather than for speed. She leant over and ran her fingers through his mane before turning back to Eroswyn with a slight smile twisting the corner of her mouth. "Is is alright if I take this one?" Elrothiel asked.

He eyed the horse Elrothiel chose with approval, giving a light smile. "Of course, he's one of the finest built horses around here. May not be the fastest, but he can get you to Rhun and back without any trouble at all." He stepped into the barn, making his way over to a nearby rack where various saddles and reigns lay neatly upon each other. He reached to pick one up, but turns back towards her, remembering that some elves preferred to ride bareback. "Would you like a saddle, or would you prefer to ride him as he is?"
