Eira say say to the King, "I just thought of something involving using this one as a diplomat... It may impact how long discussions last in the future"
She turns towards the long-winded emissary to be and easily switching from dwarven, says in elven, "You seem well spoken enough considering what I've heard thus far, I assume you can speak or understand elven?"
Switching back to dwarven, and speaking to the king again, "of course not speaking elven during discussions would call for a translator and make stalling, if necessary, even easier. Unless of course they just decide to negotiate in common..."

"I have no doubt he can speak as long in any tongue. Perhapse even something obscure. We do have some nice national languages that are obscure... of course."

Sursqueek joins in in Dwarvish, "Well, now that you mention it, I am fluent in many obscure and common languages including Elvish, and several others like it because one should, as I might have possibly said before, always be prepared for any situation that might arise, and as such I have mastered five languages and am working on several others at the moment, because as the moments go by it is becoming ever more likely that I will need them in the future, which as my second cousin, Moorcheep the 'not-quite as long winded as Sursqueek the boring, but equally boring in every possible way, and as such not to be bothered when studying lest ye want to fall into one of the deepest slumbers of ye life, or perhaps even fall into an endless sleep' used to quote rather consistantly from the old books of the Sophmore of the Wastes of Daisies and wild rabbits which bloom in the golden sun of the skies above as it beats down on the slightly dried swampland below, 'Those events which have yet to come to pass are as indeterminate as the ones that have passed and those which happen elsewhere, only through the knowledge of all three can one truely know them all' which also has a shorter, more poetic version which is said something like 'the future is not yet written', though the reasons for such short versions of these sayings is still beyond me...

At any rate I seem to have a natural, nay almost UNnatural affinity for elvish ways, I shall work well as a distraction if you wish, or rather a diplomat if you prefer..."

As Sursqueek finishes speaking his last few words, he seems rather serious, but what exactly may be the source of this seriousness is intagible and unexact. His eyes look no different, nor his face or other features and his voice is as monotonous as ever, but perhaps it is the thoughts behind the gaze, something unknown and fearful, knowledge that wears on his unusual mind and makes itself known through the union of features together, yet not found in any single feature alone...

Turning back to the emissary to be,"I see, well it seems the King was right. You sound as though you'll be quite well suited for being the diplomat, and I do prefer it to be diplomat, particularly since being a distraction means that something has likely already gone wrong, and I'd prefer for everything to go smoothly, thus we will have no need for a distraction, afterall things would have to be rather precarious for a "general" to have to act as the distraction."

Then, seeming to have a spark of thought she says to her fellow generals, "By the way, I believe I never introduced myself. I guess with the whole hanging situation I forgot my manners to some extent. My name is Eira Perena... By what name shall I call the two of you?"

After speaking, she trys to call her familiar over, and away from it's food via empathetic link so as not to interrupt the conversation.

I did not know rabbits could bloom, and both.

It is easily reachable (the familiar is now fully under your control like a second character.)

Sursqueek decides that he'd best not mention the genetic modifications required to mutate these rabbits so they WOULD bloom. Someone might lose their spiritual lunch...

I agree actually, unless there is anything else you'd like us here for, there are a few things I too wish to do before leaving, now knowing the circumstances... May we be off?

"Though I too would be most joyous as to having some time to grab a few things before setting out, beacause as, I believe, I've already stated, one must always be preparated before setting out, and I am most ready to have preperation, for being prepared is of the like amount of importance as talking eloquently, I would like to request a map of the general area for purposes of reonnaissance as well as making my way away from this office to find a cook, for I believe you mentioned a large army, but I heard nothing of a master of victuals and, as I'm sure as I am certain that his most illustrious and Masterful Majesty knows, though possibly in another fashon, it is often said 'A large group of loyal retainers fall ungracefully against their opposition and are met with sound defeat when their bodies and armor are but the walnut's shell and the nourishment with is naught, thus be certain to care for those which serve you as they walk on the legumes given upon their empty walnut husks by those abundant in nut' meaning in the term more commonly in this area I believe 'An army marches on its digestive organs and fat tissue' which a slightly perverse way of putting such a deep saying as the deepness sustainable should really be proportionate to the density and thickness of the saying, much like an object surviving at great ocean depths...but that is neither here nor there, but quite well washed and flowing out with the tide I believe...

Therefore I shall be finding a cook for our military, and if cook well he cannot, then distract well he shall! Unless of course his majesty simply hasn't told us he already has a cook?"

Wishing to move on as quickly as possible, and starting to run out of breath, Surqueek, apparantly practiced in sending messages with motion, gives a very thankful bow to the King and looks to the others wondering what they wish to do next, while reaffixing a mask that covers his head except for his eyes and lower jaw.
PostPosted: Fri May 04, 2007 3:07 am

"If I may ask, why the mask?" says Eira while glancing at the mask. (please let me know a basic description of the mask at a glance).
She then turns to the king while shouldering her pack, and picking up her familiar (a ferret if it matters to anyone) and asks, "is there perchance an alchemist whom I may contact for some reagents? I have a feeling I should stock up on a few specifics, but I'm not quite thinking it wise that a dead woman such as myself should seek one out myself, as it may raise some unwanted questions"

Thanatos bows to the king and departs through the door with an intact floor. And he procedes to search the town for any places that sell items of questionable legality. (in particular a forgery kit). And after he finds one he buys a masterwork version of both that and a masterworks thieves tools. (I believe thats 2k, but i may be wrong.) And also he makes sure hes not followed.
