Pencils are like/and unlike pens.
Pens are used to draw arty things.
Gee is kind of the crazy artist and draws a lot of stuff including the cover for TC.
Yeah, that was a crappy one, but I couldn't think of another response.

Crystal is a mineral. Another mineral is kryptonight (sp), which is what superman is weak against. Superman is a popular comic book hero. Not only is Gerard coming out with the Umbrella academy, but he has also on many an occassion reffered to himself as an "anti-hero."

Toilets are in bathrooms where you can often find a lot of ceramics. Ceramic is a superconductor, which means that it becomes highly conductive when brought to very cold temeratures. This was discovered through some complicated physics but it's also thermodynamics which is often used in chemistry. Chimistry is in the same word family as chemical, which is why my friends keep making bad MCR puns to me in my chem class.
(oh and chemistry is a very old discipline of science, almost as old as Gerard Way)

Window blinds are something people often buy when they move into a house or something. Gerard Way will never buy window blinds becuase he will never leave his mother's basement.
