Rit squinted at the post. It was wooden, not very far off, but narrow. She remembered the first time she had seen shuikans, in her brother's hands. He had been practicing in their backyard, trying to hit a tree. His results had been two dead crows and a broken window. I hope I'm a bit better than he was... She held the shruikans in her hands, and a chill went down her spine. I wonder if they're like throwing frisbees? Time to find out. Rit tensed her arm and curled it toward herself. Her wrist snapped back, then forward as she released the star. It flew mainly toward the target, but curved a bit off-center midway, finally wedging itself in a tree about six feet from the intended target. Drat. At least I didn't hit someone.

Miss Nightway turned back to Rit. "Hmm. Not bad for a first throw. I noticed you threw it as you would throw a frisbee. This technique takes rather a lot of concentration on your wrist because if you release the shuriken to late into the curve it will go off target. Practise will let you see just when to release it in the arc. However, each ninja has a specially unique way off throwing a shuriken, some flick their wrist up, some down, there are plenty of different ways, you just have to find what suits you best." Miss Nightway took a shuriken from Rit's hand, turned to the post and brought the shuriken down to her leg. In a sudden movement she brought her arm up and flicked her wrist, the shuriken sunken into the centre of the post. "At least you didn't hit anyone, right?" Miss Nightway smiled at Rit.

"Yeah." Rit grinned fleetingly and grasped another shuriken. This time she brought her wrist down to her waist, and flicked the small star outward, releasing earlier than she would normally. It flew straighter this time, but curved at the end of its flight, therefore sticking into the very edge of the pole. Rit watched as the shuriken slowly tilted downward out of the pole and fell onto the ground below with a clatter. "I hit it...I guess..."

Miss Nightway was impressed. A student who could hit the post with a shuriken on their first day was indeed someone skilled. "Very nicely done Rit. I'm impressed. I think you and I are going to get along just fine."

Rit blushed for the second time that day and replied, "Thank you. I look forward to learning from you, Miss Nightway." She pondered for a moment and asked, "What will I be taught under you? Stealth is the element I'm most skilled in and enjoy most, but fighting and all that stuff, when do I get to do that?" Rit did not often speak her mind, but an eager gleam in her eyes added to her strength. She was not impatient, far from it, just inquisitive.

Miss Nightway stared at Rit for a moment, considering her words. "Mostly we will be working on stealth. I am pleased to hear that you are already somewhat skilled in that area as it will save us time. So, mainly we will be honing your skills, however, you weill also be educated the Way of the Ninja. This includes shurikens, katanas and techniques among other things. Usually I will be teaching you, sometimes I will be aided by other senseis. If I forewarn you of my absence, I ask you to request another sensei to teach you until my return. Do not be intimidated by the others, courage is an important part of being a ninja."

"'Kay." Rit looked forward to the stealth techniques, along with The Way of the Ninja. She knew it was important to be courageous, and she could. Most of the time. And she could find other senseis easily, that much could be done. Rit rocked back and forth on her feet and grinned. "Are we gonna toss some more shurikens around today?" She glanced behind her. "Or can we sneak around?" (Referring to practising stealth, of course)

Miss Nightway smirked, glad her student was enthusiastic about learning. She looked around. "There is a sparrow on that rosebush over there. Let me see if you can catch it."

[OOC: okay. ^_^]
Rit grinned misceiviously. This exercise had been one of her favorite boredom-busters at home. The sparrows were so twitchy and easily frightened, it used to take her hours to stalk one. She took off her jacket, and slowly crept toward the rosebush, carrying it. IThe bush was surrounded by grass, often a noisy obstacle. Rit carefully placed her foot gently onto the grass, shifting her weight as she moved. The blades parted neatly to her boots, and Rit proceded to make her way across. Moving stealthily toward the bush, and the sparrow. It wasn't looking her way, more interested in the crumb it was currently devouring. Slowly, carefully she crept up to the bush, barely breathing, raising her jacket abover her head. In one swift movement she brought the jacket down upon the now frightened bird, and swept the sparrow up from the rosebush. The bird squirmed in its prison, and Rit, not wishing for the bird to hurt itself, released it gently. It was then she noticed the beautiful white spot on her jacket, and after a moment of horror, laughed at her stupidity.

Quill took her time returning to the Academy, her entusment from shirking responsiblitly and throwing caution to the wind was what was to be expected. Busy sipping her mocha caramel frappucino, her feet wavered and she nearly toppled over. Quickly she regained balance and removed her coffee from her mouth. And they say I'm a ninja. She thought continuing her way back to the academy yard.
Upon her arrival she saw Bioette still with her hold over her students. Once more she took her perch, this time standing, on the fencing that surrounded the yard. A smile surfaced on her calm face, but was soon disrupted when her eyes seized the horror that was known as the Principle, a.k.a. her boss. Her arms unfolded, lagging by her sides, her head fell down. "Even if she hasn't seen me, I might as well have been caught." Her head proping itself up allowing the lungs to exspand, engulfing the air, then slowly excreted the waste produced. Her knees bent only slightly and her weight shifted to the balls of her feet. The srpings released sending her just so much closer to the clouds her and apparently her student loved. She sored as a raven, reaching towards the coy Nightway.

Clack, clack clack, three shuriken were firmly placed in the middle of the wooden post, "Miss Bioette, may I ask your strong point" Nin said as he walked over to take his shuriken back.

Miss Nightway heard the slight sigh of someone breathing out someplace west of her. Quickly she moved her attention from her student to the fencing that surrounded the yard to the air above her. Quill was approaching, in an interesting way. Nightway smirked up to Quill and took a step to the left a second before Quill landed nearly exactly where she had been standing. "Greetings, sensei." She smirked again. "Do you not have students to attend to?" Nightway noticed the Starbucks in Quill's hand and recieved a strong urge to go buy an espresso.

Rit returned to her Sensei, who was talking to another sensei, as it appeared. She politely waited at a distance, so as not to interrupt their conversation.

BORICUA saw that his sensei was back, with much relief, he ran back accidently tripping over a rock, I aways do that he said to him self, he got up just to trip again, I should just stay here, he got up one more time, keeping his policy of never giving up in mind, and walked to his sensei
