Hoshi no Miko GundamIsGod Hoshi no Miko I've only got good things to say about Scott. I don't think he's ever been mean to any of his fans. Every time I have met him he's been really pleasant, incredibly funny, and just an over all sweet heart. I can't really picture a mean bone in the man's body. Boy is he talented too! However I think almost everyone here knows that... My favourite work of his, aside from Duo Maxwell's voice would have to be Waspinator and Ratrap on beasties. I can't remember but I think Beasties was one of his favourite shows to work on... and in response to someone else in this thread, yeah, he did enjoy playing Duo ^_^ Hence why the line to get his autograph is always so long? lol. Lol, yeah, and why every panel he's in is packed to fire code capacity. and to add to Hoshi's first post, he played Dinobot and Silverbolt in Beast Wars as well. .....talk about a split personality disorder

There were literally scenes in which he was having whole conversations with himself in real time! Funny stuff! Wikipedia rocks... *shifty eyes*

I've got a random question for this thread. We all know the Gundam Wing dub was over all done pretty well, however which voice actor do you find, did the best interpritation of the character they played? Basically, who fit their character the best? I really think David Kaye did a very good job playing Treiz. Now, I am not the biggest fan of Treiz admitedly(sorry colonel redface ) however I have always liked the soft spoken voice David gave him.

I'm more inclined towards Scott since I feel he did an excellent job of playing Duo faithfully to the source material while adding his own interpretation to the character that fit him like a glove.
One minor complaint I've heard about David is that he was a little monotone during speeches that needed more emotion in them.

Also props to Kirby Morrow aka Trowa Barton. It was his first role too.

Trowa Barton was Kirby Morrow's first role? Wow, I actually didn't know that. I'll say I agree on his work as Trowa though, he did a fairly good job. A couple of people have stated that they've heard David as too monotone for his speeches as Treize. I'm not sure why, but I've always felt him as a soft spoken character, even when giving his speeches. I would likely feel different if I watched the original Japanese again I would feel differently because I would see the differences again.

I'm pretty sure Trowa wasn't Kirby's first role, as he was Dr. Tofu in Ranma 1/2 among other roles.

I have a question, kind of out of the blue, about Sally's and Catherine's original voice actor(I THINK it was Moneca Stori). She only played Sally and Catherine for the begining of the series... maybe she was Sally up until episode 20 or so... However when we see Catherine later on she's voiced by Kathy Wesluck, and somewhere along the line Sally sarted being voiced by Samatha Ferris. Does anyone know what happened to Moneca Stori? Did she quit, was she fired? I'm a little confused as to why Sally and Catherine got new voices.

I absolutely love the fact that a dangerous, deadly man like Treize has a soft side AND a soft, sexy voice. It breaks stereotypes all over the place. For instance, take my least favourite of the true GW villains: Dekim Barton. He's funny looking, strident, and an SOB... and it would be VERY hard to have much sympathy for him at all. Treize, on the other hand, SO decidedly comes across as a man that many would be willing to follow without question no matter what--just as Zechs and Une did for years, each for their own reasons.
I think a lot of credit for that is due to the writers--but also to the voice actor. Can't you just see Zechs having a crisis of conscience, and Treize goes all quiet and compelling on him, explaining and weaving his magic... *melts*
And in Une's boots, I'd have done whatEVER the man asked. ABsolutely. smile

I had Endless Waltz playing not to long ago, to listen for a particular line Trowa says and had to do a facepalm. I had never noticed that Trowa's VA also played Miroku on InuYasha. x.X;

Let me join you in that facepalm... now that you report it, I can hear it--but never would have connected in a million years. Wow!

Well that's good. I like the sound of that better. whee
I do have fun amazing my boyfriend by picking out VAs I recognize from various shows. He'll be like "*awe* How do you know?" and I'm like, "I just do. *smile*". It's great. whee
