Guan Yu stood up immediately at the news of Xia Pi being under attack. This wasn't what was supposed to happen. Guan Yu was confident that the wound he inflicted upon the young commander was one that would keep him away for some time. It seems that he'd have to go and finish the job. "I will move out immediately, you have troops that I can bring, right? Xia Pi is in desperate need of troops right now and with the enemy bringing reinforcements it will be imperative to bring fresh troops." He felt so guilty for leaving. He knew that he needed to get back quickly! "I am going to leave right now, Brother, if you can have any extra troops ready outside the gate before I leave I am going to go talk to the man in the market on my way out. Perhaps he will be able to help out with this battle." Guan Yu began to head for the door, walking as slowly as possible in order to wait for Bei's response.
"What!!!" Zhang Fei exclaimed as he stood up quickly. He seemed to sober up some at the news of his baby girl being under attack. "Brother, you know that I fight just as well when drunk as I do when I'm not. I have to go and rescue Cai!" He knew that he wouldn't be leaving but he just had to try. With Lu Bu in the city he couldn't just leave Liu Bei alone...

"Of course brother! There will be troops waiting for you outside!" Bei responded with a nod before he turned his attention to his other brother. He walked up and placed his hands on Fei's shoulders. "If you can't stay because your not drunk, then please stay for the sake of Lu Bu. I know that you want to go and help Xing Cai but I need you to stay here to help me. Cai is a woman and a warrior now. She'll be able to hold everything together until Guan Yu comes to help." Or at least, he hoped. Bei knew that Cai had inherited her father's strength and skill, and along with that she was able to keep calm when she was under pressure. He had no doubt that she would be able to keep her cool, what he was worried about was her experience. While she may have skill and intellegence she'd never handled an entire army by herself. He could only pray that everything would turn out for the best.
"I want any extra troops to be sent outside for my brother Guan Yu to head out to Xia Pi immediately!" Liu Bei ordered to the messanger who'd still been there waiting for orders. The messanger nodded and then took off to go carry out the orders that had been entrusted to him. Bei removed his hand from Fei's shoulder and then stepped back, sighing as he rubbed his forhead and began to pace.
"...Truly fate is not tipping in our favor...." Bei swallowed, praying as he walked.

Guan Yu nodded at his brother's words and quickly left, taking large strides through the castle. He came out into the market square and searched around. "Damn, I don't have time for this. I need to find that man now!" He said to himself as he looked around. Finally he decided to take a shortcut: in a loud and demanding voice he shouted out, "People of Shu! I am looking for a certain man who helped you out earlier this morning in the market! I need to find him quickly and I will reward anyone who helps me find him with 100 yuans!" The people began to bustle at the news from the famous Guan Yu. He looked around hoping that the man would come forward without any assistance.

Lu Bu was awoken by a hustle and bustle downstairs and looked out the window of his tower toward Xia Pi. He noticed that there was smoke rising from inside the city! The enemy must have attacked again. He sat there and yawned, it was morning now but he didn't really feel like getting up just yet. They weren't too kind to him so he figured that he would let them suffer over in Xia Pi before he decided to go and help out again. If you asked him he wouldn't tell you, but he was rather interested in fighing these foreigners again. It was a nice change of pace from the usual enemies and he would indeed enjoy going back out there again. But for now he would sleep some more. He knew that just being there made everyone nervous and he kind of liked that.

Gan Ning turned to Liu Bei as he asked if he was fit for battle. "Excuse my bluntness, Lord, but hell yes! A little of drink in me will do the great Gan Ning some good in battle, they'll be raving about me all over the land. I'm going with Guan Yu for sure. Zhang Fei, I promise to you, when I find Xing Cai I will protect her, don't worry about that." Ning had a confident demeanor and ring to his voice, for when he was set on something it was going to get done. "Well, see you guys later!" Gan Ning rushed out of the tavern, his bells gingling together as he did. He found Yu quickly, after all he was a bajillion feet tall, "Hey, big guy! Looks like I'll be going back with you. What are we waiting on? It's gotta be important, I'm sure." he stood there waiting to see what Guan Yu's big plan was all about.

"So....the famed Liu Bei seeks my help does he?" came a voice that seemed to have towered over the screaming and chattering in a meek and mild manner. A figure graced himself slowly towards the mighty red giant with dainty light steps. He walked past the gruff pirate and behind Guan Yu.
"If it is my service he seeks, I will gladly join the great man who defeated the mighty beast Lu Bu with his two brothers. My service is unworthy to such a hero of our era though." Xu Shu said as he circled Guan Yu. After halfway around the behemoth of a man, Xu Shu stood in front of Guan Yu. With a smile, he bowed generously and with poise of calm peace.
"Take me to your lord whenever it is necessary for my prescence." Xu Shu smiled.

Guan Yu immediately became calm as soon as the man spoke out. Though he was in a hell of a rush he knew that speaking quickly and in a hurry would not persuade a man of his intelligence. Guan Yu bowed with respect and smiled, "My lord would love to meet you, however he has asked me to bring you with me, only if it is what you wish though. Xia Pi is currently under attack by this new enemy and I was hoping that I could bring you with me to help defend it. We could always use someone with great skill in strategy such as yourself, even if you do not take part in the battle you should at least observe this enemy in order to plan for the future. So will you come with me, Master-" Guan Yu paused for a moment with embarassment. He didn't know this man's name yet, "Forgive me, we haven't been properly introduced, I am Guan Yu, sworn brother to Liu Bei." Guan Yu hoped that he would reply in the affirmative so that they could get out of there immediately. Xing Cai was in trouble and if anything happened to her Yu would feel aweful for leaving her there alone.

The man gave a gentle chuckle.
"Of course of course. I know all about the great Guan Yu, the man who lopped Hua Xiong before the wine went cold and the man who helped defeat Lu Bu. Quite a remarkable warrior you are." the man smiled. He continued in his reply.
"Ah yes, my name is Xu Shu. The lord Liu Bei may use my name however he pleases." Xu Shu smiled. Xu Shu heard of Guan Yu's plea for help when Xu Shu nodded in confirmination.
"Understood, I shall go wherever I am needed. Lead the way Master Yu." Xu Shu smiled.

"Right, it is a pleasure to have you as an ally, Master Xu Shu." He said with a nod. He would have claimed that he is not quite the warrior as Shu suggested in an act of humbility, but right now was not the time to be humble and they needed to get moving. "Now if you will follow me I will take you to the stables. We need to get you a horse and get moving to Xia Pi."
Guan Yu lead the way to the horse stables and picked out his horse. "Take any horse you see fit to ride." He said with a smile as he mounted his own horse. He watched to see if Gan Ning had followed him, which he had, and gave a sigh of relief. A talented officer such as Gan Ning would come in handy in any battle and it was good that he wanted to tag along. Yu drove his horse out of the stable, motioning for the two men to follow, and rode outside of the city to the eastern gate. On the other side of the gate the army that Guan Yu had called for was waiting for him to lead the way to Xia Pi. The force was over 20,000 strong and it would be perfect for fast reinforcements. He didn't know how many troops the enemy had, but with himself and Gan Ning both on the battlefield they would have a bit of an advantage. Yu didn't know exactly what Xu Shu was capable of in battle so he was excited to find out what he would pull off. So there he waited for the other two officers to arrive before moving the army out on the short trip to Xia Pi.

Gan Ning quieted down as soon as he had spoken, he could tell Guan Yu had found the man the messenger ws speaking of. So, this 'Xu Shu' had decided to join them, that was good, Shu caould always use some new generals or in this case, strategists. "Master Xu Shu, I am Gan Ning, it's a pleasure to meet you, I hope I can plan in the event of any plan you may have." Ning bowed, as was custom, and followed Guan Yu to the stable hastily. He mounted a greyish one, that looked to have enough endurance and speed fit for his liking. He trotted it out to where Guan Yu had assembled the men, and waited for the order to move out. He was just itching for some more action, this time it was personal, these foreigners are attacking Xing Cai, and Gan Ning knew he would help someway, somehow.

Xu Shu nodded to Guan Yu as he was readied to head off to the stables when a voice caught him from behind. Xu Shu turned around to see the fiery red bushel of hair in his face with it's prickly sharpness. Xu Shu stepped back a little to see when the hair moved up, a face was revealed. His looks were that of a brute with a hard smile on his face. Stern, strong, and looked a bit like the rowdy kind. Simply not the kind of face with that kind of mannerism. It then hit Xu Shu of who this was.
"Ahh, you have quite an elogant manner for being the notorious pirate of the seas. Gan Ning indeed." Xu Shu chuckled softly. But without wanting to keep the mighty God of War waiting, of course Xu Shu immediately followed after.
At the stables, he saw Master Yu ride atop of his horse as Gan ning too jumped onto one. Xu Shu looked upon the horses available and caressed his whiskers in contemplation. Finally after some due time, Xu Shu gasped and smiled at the horse. Xu Shu walked into the stables and soon after, pulled out a weak looking horse. It wasn't very strong and probably would have been crushed if either Guan Yu or Zhang Fei would have sit atop of it. But Xu Shu had chosen this horse and he immediately saddled it, pulling himself onto it eventually.

"Right, let's move out!" Guan Yu shouted to his army and lead the way toward Xia Pi.

Sun Ce rode quickly toward Xiao Pei, completely shrugging off his coughing attack. After not too long he arrived at the gates of Xia Pi. Off in the distance he could see smoke rising up from the east and knew that it had to be another attack. Luckily a few aids had followed him and his wife to Xiao Pei and he leaned down from his horse to one of his men. "Go find out what's happening over there and report to Zhou Tai. Let whoever is at the outpost decide what to do. Go!" The messenger quickly left for Xia Pi.
Meanwhile Ce nodded to the guards of Shu and said "Tell Lord Liu Bei that Sun Ce is here to meet with him to discuss the current condition of the land. Make it fast, time is of the essence!" The guard left quickly and the gate opened up for Ce and his wife. Ce turned to Da Qiao with a smile. "You ready to meet with Liu Bei? He's an honorable man who father respected for his courage during the time of the Yellow Turbans."

"Lord Liu Bei!" A soldier ran in and dropped to his knees, bowing his head respectfully to his leader who had restationed himself back at the throne. "Lord Sun Ce and his wife Da Qiao have arrived here in Xiao Pei and wish for you to meet him. He asks that you meet him as soon as possible to discuss the current condition of the land."
"So the family of Wu has decided to lend Shu aid?" Liu Bei exclaimed hopefully as he arose from his throne. "Go and invite them in! Come brother Fei, let us go meet our guests."
"Oh, I can't wait." Da smiled back at her husband with her bright, hopeful eyes. "Although, I am just a little nervous." She giggled, placing her hand over her mouth while she laughed.
"Welcome to the lands of Shu." A voice interrupted her laughter, and when she turned to look over she spotted Liu Bei walking towards them. "I heard that you wanted to see me as soon as possible according to a messanger. It's my pleasure to meet such an honorable man as you, Lord Sun Ce."
"L-Lord Liu Bei!" Da bowed her head, her cheeks a tinge of red. She straitened her back, placing a hand against her cleavage. "I-It's an honor to meet you."
"And you must be Da Qiao. A very beautiful wife you behold, Lord Sun Ce." Bei returned the bow that was given to him before he spoke again. "But now we should switch our attention to the current affairs. You want to know the current condition of the land, correct? Everything is peaceful, only Xia Pi is underneath attack for the second time in the mere time of two days...." Bei's face fell before he swallowed and turned his head to look to where the city stood. "My brother Guan Yu, Gan Ning and a new strategists have gone to assist my neice Xing Cai in pushing the invaders back. I can only hope that the reinforcements will arrive soon enough to help...."

Zhang Fei stood up from his seat next to Liu Bei's and barked "right" as he followed after his brother. He made sure to have his trusty viper spear at his side just in case it were a trap. He stood to the right and slightly behind Liu Bei as usual, hoping to make his presence known but stay out of the way.
Ce smiled at his lovely wife as the gate opened. Ce stood up straight and bowed to Liu Bei as he approached them. "It is good to finally meet you in person as well, Lord Liu Bei." He said with a smile, "So Xia Pi is under attack again? I need to get better spies... I thought it was still under attack from the first siege..."
Ce leaned over to one of his aids and whispered in his ear, "Tell Zhou Tai to head to Xia Pi immediately, they need all the help they can get." The messenger bowed deeply and immediately took off for the base camp. "So, my reason for coming here is to discuss this enemy. I am sending reinforcements to Xia Pi right away but we need to know what we're up against and you should know better than anyone else other than the survivors of Yuan Shao's land. Shall we move from the streets to a more private setting? You never know who's listening..."
