Juno heaved a heavy exhale and looked down at Sloane's hands, taking it with both of hers and gently squeezing. "I don't blame you, for what happened today." Juno said softly. She felt that it was important to make it clear that she could separate the bad things that had happened to her due to association with Sloane from things that Sloane could control. The girl had promised not to hurt her, and Juno wasn't going to make Sloane's keeping of that promise, any more difficult than Sloane seemed to feel it would be. "I'll admit, as pathetic as it sounds, that I was hoping you would show up, when she was talking to me. That suddenly you would be standing behind her, and that you would scare her off. But that was cowardly of me." Juno whispered clearly ashamed of herself a she hung her head. "In response to your promise, I myself promise to be better. At....everything. I'll try and assert myself more, show people that I actually exist, and that I am not just hanging on to your aura." Juno promised, nodding her head. "And I'll less....." Juno paused, and let the sentence hang, looking away.

Juno blushed, her face heating up a whole 20 degrees, she wondered if the warming of her blood could be felt by Sloane, she was pretty sure that she was scorching the girls hand. and that Sloane was just ignoring the pain, making a testament through her strength and determination. But even though her will was strong Juno knew it was only a matter of time before she moved her hand away, and yelped in pain.....What? Juno didn't understand where her thoughts took her sometimes, especially at a time like this, when Sloane was speaking to her in a way Juno could only of.

She was thankful, that Sloane had let her slip up go, that the girl hadn't honed in on the dying words of her last statement, it allowed Juno to push on to something else, they had a friendship set, a pact to each other, with that mind Juno felt her next step was the most logical one. "There is an art exhibition at the Wacom Gallery in the city next Saturday, I have a few pieces on display." Juno eased, feeling a little timid about what she was about to ask. "Its nothing special, just a gathering of young artist and potential agents, and free food and drinks... I'm allowed one guest, and I was going to go alone, but I'm... I was wondering if you would like to accompany me."

"It's not that kind of event, At least I hope not." Juno said, trying not to think about the possibility of being swarmed by the paparazzi upon entering the event, though she was calmed by the fact that she knew that if there was a huge crowd, that she wouldn't be the main focal point. "Though, I bet I'd look more like a security guard than you would." Juno commented, making an obvious comparison to their heights, even though Sloane did look tougher than she did. Juno couldn't help but chuckle a little bit, until Sloane made the comment, of always wanting to be the date of an artist. Juno couldn't help but flush furiously her face turning near purple. "W-would you call this a date?"

"I don't know what I would call it." Juno said quickly, raising her thumb to her mouth and biting down onto the skin nervously. "This is all new to me after all." She said after a little while. That seemed to be her default defense for the day but it was true, she didn't have any experience in this field, at all.

As to what field she was speaking of however she didn't know, friendship or romance, she blushed hard, clearing her throat and looking off to the side, not wanting to get too ahead of herself. It had been a long night, lots had gone down, not at all of it good, but she had been able to pull some positives from the negatives.

The negatives seemed to be evident as Sloane mentioned that she may not want to return to the party, and this much was true, Juno didn't want to go back, not even in the slightest, she wanted to stay as far away from any hostess event as possible at this very moment, and though that wasn't fair to the hard working ladies, or Sloane, she just couldn't help the way she felt. But it was very sweet of Sloane to offer to walk her back to her room. It did make her feel ten times safer. "Absolutely, if you really want too."

Juno looked over at Sloane not sure how to respond, she didn't know if she was eluding to something by saying that, and it made Juno a bit nervous. What would she do if Sloane truly was only being polite to her, and not doing all of these things because she wanted to. "I wouldn't want to force you do anything that you wouldn't want to." Juno said honestly. "If you don't want to walk me back you really don't have to."




(Welp, I did not see that you posted somehow. BUT MERRY MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS HAPPY CHRISTMAS ALL OF THE CHEERS AND STUFF GET DRUNK AND CELEBRATE. Also good on Sloane for holding Juno to her word.)

Juno couldn't even imagine slapping anyone especially not Sloane, Juno had a long list of people on campus that she was quite certain could flatten her into a pancake without breaking a sweat if she wasn't careful, Sloane was one of them, for that much she was certain, even if Sloane said she might like it, that didn't mean that the hostess wouldn't also like hitting Juno back, and Juno was very sure that she herself wouldn't like it at all.

But that point aside, Juno knew that she had already began to go back on her word, she had said she would be more assertive and she really wanted to be, but it was like being timid had been etched into her very soul. It wasn't as though she could flip a switch and suddenly be filled with this newfound confidence to just state what she wanted and let it be so. It had been to long for her to even have a possibility of developing those type of social skills.
"I will be sure to call you out if I feel you are being dishonest, but so far it feels like I can trust your words. And I will keep trying to be more confident in myself, but it's just hard. I've never had a real friend before. I don't know how this works."

Juno tried not to yelp too loud when she heard the knock on her door, she had been running around in a mild panic, trying to find something to wear for her date with Sloane, she had never expected to be one of those girls who looked at a closet full of clothes and somehow came to the conclusion that she had nothing to wear, but it was happening, she now knew that it wasn't about the clothes at all, it was about trying to impress the person, you were going out with, and Juno had no clue if she even had anything to impress Sloane with now.

She had tried to go all out with her Outfit, but she wasn't sure if it was good enough, and it made her self conscientious. She didn't normally show off her legs like this, but she had just been feeling up to it now, and starring at herself in the mirror she wasn't sure what she was thinking, the heels at the bottom of her long tanned legs would be the death of her, she could walk in them just fine without nerves, but she wasn't without her nerves at the moment, she was nervous as hell, she was guaranteed to twist her ankle severely before the day was over. It was too late to change now however so she walked over to her door and opened it to her room, swinging the door open wide trying to appear as inviting as she could, with a smile on her face. "Hi, you are right..." Juno peaked at her watch, attempting a joke. "on time, is being punctual a Hostess thing? Or are you doing it just for me?" That was.... Juno didn't mean to sound so flirty there, she looked to the side a bit, blushing.

Juno wasn't sure if Sloane meant that she liked that Juno was following through or that she liked Juno's outfit, she had seen the woman's eyes roam her a bit, and it made her feel.... Juno didn't know how it made her feel. But it wasn't bad, nothing that Sloane ever did made Juno feel bad. Juno bit into her lip, not sure why that random thought popped into her head, and not sure if it really mattered or not. "I would never go back on a promise." Juno responded finally, a hint of determination touching her eyes.

Juno was a bit shocked when Sloane offered to drive them to the event, she hadn't expected the other girl too own a car. "You have a car?" Juno asked her surprise evident on her face. She supposed it wasn't that surprising, it wasn't like everyone else was going to stay locked up in their rooms all day like she did, and besides this school didn't have too many students on campus that weren't from well off families. That and the public transportation around here was abysmal. "Yea.... one second, I need to grab my badge." Juno said after picking her jaw up from the floor, she turned and entered her room, looking around a bit trying to remember where she placed it. Her room wasn't exactly messy, but it wasn't the cleanest. Every bit of space was in use. Covered in magazines, used or half used sketch books, loose papers, paint stained newspapers, and other items. "Here it is." She found it sitting on her pillow, with a roll of her eyes, she pulled the strap of the badge over her neck and met Sloane at the door.
