Location: Joining Jacinthus on patrol
Post: 1

To say that Keilana was irritated was probably an understatement, after all this short tempered mama had her two boys back at the camp where it was safe. And then she had gone out to hunt down her brother and father of her children, where the heck had they gone? Both had been rather secretive and though she never was able to pinpoint or find either of them alone to ask them (or rather threaten them) about it she was fully intending to find out today.

Hammer hefted over her shoulder she felt that the forest had danger looming in every corner. It had her tense, it made her lash out at every noise. Perhaps she was jumping to conclusions but she couldn't help but feel that she needed to be paranoid in order to keep herself alive and get back to her sons. Though she knew they were safe back at camp she felt like she should be back there keeping enemies at bay, instead she was hunting for her brother.

Looking around she paused, tilting her head as she thought she heard something and she lifted her hammer off her shoulder and get into a ready stance. Taking soft steps she let her eyes flicker about seeing where the sound had some from, even though she had no idea what or whom caused that sound...or if it was just a creature of the forest but she couldn't help but be wary.

It was probably a good thing she was able to stop herself as she had prepped her body to attack whatever it was that was rounding the corner. Her hammer raised to strike whatever it was, her eyes widening as she spotted her own brother in front of her. Force to abandon her plan of action she had to turn her body awkwardly to avoid smashing her own flesh and blood with the blunt force of her hammer. Her heart racing as her hammer landed quite solidly in the dirt it caused her arms to go numb on impact and she had to drop her hands away from the hilt in pain.

"By the earth Jacinthus!" She swore as she gritted her teeth.

            Nera
            Location: Camp Outskirts
Company: Lucijah / Unnamed Leaf Captor
            Post: 2

A raspy whisper of a formerly boisterous voice seeped out between engorged lips, the once soaring tenor of the girl now tumbled into silence behind clenched teeth and even has those strong-familiar hands eased her upright Nera found it impossible to discover words that weren’t swallowed down into the quagmire of fear that dwelled within her chest. Blurry pink hues took a moment to soak in the scene as it played out in front of her, her darkling barked at the man that she had grown to cower away from, his tight lipped grin wavered with pain and the hands she was used to lashing out at her clutched his face where the closed fist had slammed against him.

Lucijah’s words seemed to cut into Nera’s captor far more than the violent assault the shifter administered upon him, picking himself up from the ground the Leaf Earthling bared his teeth and heatedly retorted with cult venom towards the white-haired she-brute. “You, worm-tongued thug! How dare you accuse me! I tamed this red-skinned beast just like the animal she is,” Pushing his chest out the male let out a growl from somewhere deep within the back of his throat, stalking forward he balled his fists to his sides and held his ground defiantly. “You didn’t do a very good job of breaking her if she was truly your capture. Then again . . . I am guessing you just didn’t have the right kind of equipment to properly reduce her to a sniffling mongrel, but just look at her now.” Outstretching his sandy-colored hand the Leaf Earthling gestured towards Nera causing the youth to recoil violently and bled out a frantic whimper.

“No!” Shrieking loudly Nera pulled her shoulder away from Lucijah’s grasp then spun on her heels and drove her face directly into her twilight-love’s chest. “He took me! I didn’t fight him at all and he stole me from your camp after you had already bested me in fair combat!” The dry tone that escaped from the bruised tomboy caught in her throat and came out a mangled croak.

Jacinthus - ranger
Location: Patrolling with Keilana
Post: 2

So caught up in what he was thinking about Jacinthus didn't even hear the one that was coming at him until there was suddenly a rather massive hammer coming his way. Giving a yelp the ranger lunged backwards, hands coming up in front of him in a gesture of surrender, "Geez, Little Kei! You really need to refrain from trying to kill me every five minutes!" He cried, taking in the crater that her hammer had made when it collided with the ground. Not something that he wanted to be hit by any time soon, if ever! He was more then certain it if he were to get hit by it that there would be nothing left of him but a squishy, ranger based paste... shaking his head he turned his attention back to his sister, giving a bit of a sighing sound. Not exactly the person he wanted to see at the moment since he really didn't relish the fact that he was left with the damn doomsayer role by that shield toting idiot.

Shaking the thought off he said, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with the brats?" He wondered what brought her all the way out here. Was she patrolling as well? Looking for him? Looking for a fight? There were so many things that could be a lot of things and as such he told himself not to let her appearance throw him off his game. No matter how intimidating she could be when her mood went sour he was still the older brother!

After giving himself his internal pep talk he gave her a once over and asked, "Are you alright?" The way she was holding her hands at the moment had caught his eye. Stepping closer he reached out to her her, "You need to be more careful, Little Kei, we don't want you getting roughed up before the battle even starts." Or during it, he'd fill all the Obans full of arrows before he let them near his sister.

Jerarda : Warrior. Location: Supply tents
post 1
Jerarda had been perching in a tree, looking ahead her eyes straining as she tried to spot any movement. Knuckles whitening around the shaft of her spear as she found that she couldn't sense any unusual movement. Sighing she knew sticking to the tree's there wasn't any point making herself a nervous wreck by trying to see if she could catch the enemy off guard. Flipping her head the fetish lightly tapped across her shoulder as she turned her head. It was probably a good idea to head back to camp and see if she could be of any use there.

Moving she straightened and stretched before she made her way back quickly to camp. Pausing for a moment from the tree tops only to look below and at all the people who were scurrying back and forth trying to get everything and everyone ready. Leaning against the tree she sighed once more, this all felt very...much like a distraction. Like a war was being played out just to keep everyone busy before something even more dangerous decided to get them while their backs were turned.

Lost in thought she spotted a figure she recognized, the unsatisfiable hungry Vollerie was hunting about the tents probably looking for food. A wry smile crossed her lips, that sister was...something. As her gaze followed her through the tents the then lit upon the white haired one she still had a bit of confusing feelings for. Though she certainly enjoyed Animah, she still wasn't sure about her feelings on the woman. After all she had held such a fierce dislike for ...well anyone not alkidike it felt almost like she was betraying her own people by liking someone beyond her sisters.

Still though she found her way down from the tree and began to move her way through the crowd. An air of calmness about her that seemed to demand attention despite the unease she had sensed in the forest only moments before.

"Well then its my little puppy, " She managed to tease Animah as she moved in to give the girl a hug and ...a small kiss on the forehead. Spotting Vollerie she gave her sister a wave to indicate she should come over.

"You look nervous, " Jerarda managed as she moved to sit beside the hybrid woman.

Takoda - Soul Linker
Location: Near Chandra and Aysun with Korra in tow
Post: 1

The shifter clutched the small hand as he led Korra through the crowd of people. Feeling nervous about the war about to start and he had now a young one to look out for. The little girl had stayed with them due to the fact the Oban army had made it too dangerous to try and find the last living relatives that belonged to the girl in Sauti. Though he had secretly loved having her with them, Jacinthus had to often remind him that they couldn't keep her...that this was only a temporary thing they were only looking after her because she had no one else at the moment to call family.

The girl however was very endearing, quirky and somehow had the ability to get LOST with little trouble. Perhaps this was why he clung to her hand so tightly, he didn't want to risk losing her amongst all these people. His true aim was to find his nephews and hopefully leave the little girl with them so that he could then regroup with Jacinthus. Though it took him awhile and he wasn't entirely sure why he hadn't thought of it before hand, but it wasn't surprising to find the pair of them hanging around the beast pen. Okay so the creature was impressive and having never seen one before he could understand why Aysun enjoyed spending time looking it over. Chandra on the other hand had his nose in a book....again.

Walking up to the two he gave them each a warming smile,

"Chandra, Aysun I must request a favor of you two.." The shifter began little Korra at his side had only really vaguely met them before, so he hoped that Korra would be alright with him leaving her with the two.

Korra: Youngling
Location: Near Chandra and Aysun with Takoda
Post: 1

Korra was looking around as mother Tak led her around by the hand through the really busy camp. She had taken to calling him Ma Tak since he wasn't her real mother but the young girl just felt that he had a more feminine side to him than most men. He seemed to be tickled when she called him that so she would continue doing so, she still was working on a good name for Jacinthus, though all she could come up with was Papa. It seemed silly but she was rather attached to the hunter.

Ma Tak had told her that he was going to leave her with her cousins, although they weren't really her cousins...they were his nephews but still she liked the idea that they were her literal cousins. Though she had only met them briefly in the past she was excited to get to hang out with them again. Although the circumstances were a bit dire, with a war happening around them she still couldn't help but be excited.

When they finally found the pair she looked up at Aysun with bright eyes, giving him a small shy smile as Ma Tak spoke to them. She offered a small wave to Chandra, but he seemed intent on the book he was looking at.

User ImageLUCIJAH Post 3

xxxxNear edge of the camp
xxxxxxxxwith Nera and unnamed Leaf captor

Lucijah couldn't comprehend how this figure, so bruised and torn apart, was her boisterous, snarky and loud-mouthed amberling. Hearing the leaf man infront of her refer to her lover as an animal made her bristle in fury, but she knew the moment she admitted out loud in present company that fact was the moment she lost. If she had consorted with the enemy and not turned them in, then she could be named a traitor - and then she'd be in as bad a position as her lover was. So instead she snarled, letting all the fury coat her like armor. The man was blustering, stepping forward, chest puffed out to try and make himself look intimidating. Lucijah followed suit, bringing herself to her full height (slightly taller than a normal shifter or earthling, though she was still a prentice), squaring her frame and taking a step into his space, purposefully to unnerve him and make him step back.

The more he spoke, the more enraged she became. His insinuations... the very thought of it made her fists curl into claws, wanting to reach and rip his skin apart, press her digits into his eyes in a tribute to Nera's tactic that had saved Lucijah from the claws of a radaku. Before she could follow through, however, her love flinched, stealing her gaze - then flung herself against Lucijah's chest, speaking in such a rasp that it was hard to hear Nera's usually sharp tones under it. But the words were their cover. Drawing her arm around Nera in a possessive grasp, Lucijah raised her eyes back to the man, scowling.

With a finger trailing against the rope digging into Nera's wrists, Lucijah's eyebrow rose, mockingly.

"You had to restrain her? If my tactics are subpar to yours, then you shouldn't need to use rope at all. She was sitting in a nest by herself, told not to leave it and I'm assuming she obeyed - and that you stole her from it." That was the cover. Truly, though, Nera couldn't be controlled by anyone - at least that was what Lucijah had thought. Now... Nera was still speaking out in refute, but that she would come to Lucijah willingly to defend her meant something. Nera, as Lucijah knew her, would rip the man apart with her sharp tongue, and fought tooth and nail. In their first meeting she'd nearly broken Lucijah's nose before they came to an accord! Drawing Nera back behind her, Lucijah put herself physically between the Oban and the leaf earthling.

Gerraden - Swordsman
Location: Supply Tents, getting some supplies /stalking Rishima
Post: 1

It had been awhile since the young swordsman had been able to meet up with Rishima, he one true love and soul mate. His attempts at making a home for themselves had been put on hold, after all he wasn't really that good at it (the structure just wasn't sound and continued to fall apart) as well there was a war to contend with. At the moment he was, watching his lover from afar, of course his feelings were one sided but he couldn't help himself as he trailed after the other hybrid.

Yes he wanted to go to Rishima, but watching him and trailing after him...though he felt like a stalker it was nice to see how Rishima dealt with things on his own. For how long he would be able to stay away from him was still undecided. He was already feeling that pull to have him run into Rishima's arms or rather drag him into his own and hug the amazon. But he was being good, his large sword strapped to his back as he walked as casually along as he was able to.

Sathe - Healing Tents
post 2

Sathe was so caught up in her own thoughts that she jumped at the sound of another voice. A particularly familiar voice. She had been dreaming of the face it belonged to for months, wondering where he was, how he was doing, and why she had heard nothing from him at all. She had waited for him to come back to Tale; could it have been a dream that he said he would have come back at all?

She felt her hands clam up, she was nervous. She couldn't understand why, she had been so carefree with him before, but there was tension lingering like a wall between them. "It's been a while." She smiled to him, her face showing the anxiety she felt welling up in her chest. "I was beginning to think I wouldn't see you again." She voiced aloud her fear and she could feel herself almost relax. It was out in the open now. She hated feeling like she had to watch what she said.

She was too far away to hear anything, but she could see Antiope emerge from the leader's tent before going back inside with a sideways glance at the beast in the pens. She wondered what was going on, but selfishly decided that Gaddok was more important.

Less of a prat? He was standing about minding his own business, talking to literally the only reason he was here for when random strangers walked up to him and started spouting demanding questions at him or threatening him. Was he supposed to take those things as symbols of goodwill and be nice? Perhaps. These savages were disturbingly complicated after all. Whether he was or not, he wasn't going to lie to them by faking pleasantries. If they wanted a fight, they could have it.

He was ready for the girl. Perhaps it was just the way she screeched and dove at him like some deranged banshee. 'No nonsense warrioress', indeed. 'Depraved animal' was more like it. Obviously she lacked any degree of self-control... She got her hits in, if only because she had the unpredictableness of the savage he expected her to be. He wasn't afraid of throwing them back. It was when the male came in, slashing the length of his arm that Xil felt a strong flare of aggression.

He grabbed the girl's arm and twisted on his feet, whirling around and tossing her at the aggressive male, who'd just shifted to behind him. His fingers itched to grab his spear. They already had their weapons drawn, so he could at least defend-

The water that splashed down on him was cold and wet and completely unexpected. With a sharp gasp, Xil recoiled from it, looking up for a source and finding none, turning to fix his gaze on the mage that stood a safe distance away. He huffed softly. "I only came here because Kennet asked me to. I didn't come for a fight," he muttered out, turning to glare at his two aggressors.

Her voice brought an instant smile to his face. taking one of her hands in his he placed the other over top, "I tried to write... The first letter I had the healer write; wouldn't hold still 'til she did, or at least that's what she told me." He looked out of the tent at the sound of the announcement, but turned his attention back with a casual smile. Whatever they were saying he could hear from someone else later.

"I didn't realize things were this bad..." He breathed exasperatedly, "I was training to regain my strength when I caught word of Neued's fall." Stroking the top of her hand gently he continued, "Wasn't long after that I strapped on my pack, grabbed my sword and told Ma, "I have to go.". She wasn't thrilled with my decision, but well... I'm here." Gaddok met her eyes and brushed a lock of hair behind her delicately pointed ears, "and so are you." his voice turning to a soft purr.

Gaddok's nerves settled, his pain, fears, anxiety melted away, and he pulled Sathe into his arms, "I was so fearful for you... I couldn't think of anything else. When I heard the Obans were moving for Tale its like- like they came from halfway across the world and somehow opened a portal to your doorstep and-" He let out a deep sigh of frustration, "And I wasn't able to get to you..."

Tafiir: Post 1/2
Location:Supply Tents ---> Talking with Kauff

After quenching his thirst Tafiir passed the waterskin back to Kauff and adjusted the bearhug grip he had on the sword, "You should probably figure out what that was about... Are you fighting?" He almost felt like he was holding the lad back from the action, but perhaps if he was he needed a weapon, "Cuz if you were... I could let you use my sword, but I want it back~" He quickly countered, "Otherwise, if you're not, I should get this to someone in charge or something, Right?" Tafiir hadn't really thought any of this passed being a stowaway and getting here.

Smerdle
[ supply tents ]

Oh. Well. Now he just felt bad. Kauff's own father wasn't a fighter, so he had never worried about coming home to find he wasn't there. The only way that would really happen, in the prentice's opinion, was if these invaders took over Sauti, and he wasn't going to let them. That was why he was here.

"It surely can," he said with all the wisdom of someone who'd never killed anything smarter than his dinner. "The more weapons, the better." He glanced around for both an authority figure that might frown upon what he was about to do and a waterskin for the boy, and not finding the first, he passed the second down to Tafiir as soon as he saw one. Kauff might have continued their conversation had he not noticed other earthlings gathering around the leaders' tent. He couldn't hear what was being said from where he was, but from the serious way everyone within earshot listened, he assumed it was important, or at least informative.

"Something's happening. Maybe we'll be moving soon." The child probably should have been sheltered somehow, but that would mean leaving the action behind, and Kauff wasn't going to do that. He would just have to hope the boy was old enough to see men broken and bleeding without breaking down.

Ruelash – Ice Knight
Around the Camp: Wet

Ruelash dodged the main force of Iroia easily. It was somewhat harder to do the next part, and he wasn't even sure why: In the space of time afforded only by instinct, he dropped one of his blades and grabbed her by her shirt, pulling her back from her tumble and helping her stabilize.

The main brunt of her momentum stopped, he braced for another charge, ready to pounce, feint, grab, and slam him Xilarn to the ground.... and then he'd go from there. Would he cut the oban open? Would he wait to retrieve his other blade? Would he cut Xilarn to bits slowly? Or would he drop the other blade and just punch the red-eyed b*****d to death? So many options...

Splash

Suddenly, Ruelash was drenched and dripping; His pounce arrested by his confusion – it was unexpected and completely out of the air, a bizzare and unwelcome intrusion on his fun.

Out of the air...

That had been the point. Ruelash's furious gaze darted from person to person. A Mage had to have done this. He tossed his head, moving his drenched and heavy hair out of his face: he did not appreciate it. Finally, he figured it out.

Magic guy. With the closed eyes and the runes.

”b*****d...” he snarled. Couldn't the idiot mage see that he was on their side?! Typical person. Unless... maybe he'd been attacking too. ”Aim yer spells properly, ya lousy...”

And then the stupid Oban spoke. ”Ha!” Ruelash re-aligned. One of his swords was still out, his hand was still free, and the other man was bleeding. He shook his hair like a beast, water coming off of it in droplets. Who would ever ask an Oban to come to their camp? Into their territory?

”Oh ya? Who's this Kennet?” he was pretty sure the man was lying, unless, ”So I can stab 'im like the spy he is!”

Unless he was a traitor.

Yelena stood there and watched the lady and Kiyelt. She hugged Iniu closer to her and snuggled the sail scale. But then frowned as Kiyelt kept bashing his head against a post of the pen. What was wrong with him? Her shoulders shrugged. "Iniu is very real. But you can't be. You just can't be. Why would iI be your crush? Why do you care about me? You mean Icewalker? Yeah I found him too. He's a sweetheart but can be very over protective at time And it seems I am hallucinating you with another sail scale. Can't see him too well with him hiding in your shirt though." Icewalker glanced at the male ready to do something if the insane male came too close to harm Yelena. She frowned as she didn't see the feather she had given him. It mustn't have meant much to him. She fingered her feather necklace a little sad he didn't care about the feather she had given him. It was her most valued possession. She blushed when Mella said all that about her. She pushed her dreadlocks back over her ear to get it out of her face. She couldn't believe the lady had just said that about her. "Um thank you very much for the compliments. I'm not sure I deserve them but I do thank you for saying them. You're the first to say they are elegant or exotic."

She blushed even more as Kiyelt spoke and buried her face against the sail scale to try and hide it. But then got a little indignant about the easy to distract comment part."You just can't be real. It's not possible and you just vanished one day without a word or anything. And you call me distractible one more time and I will exploit one of your weaknesses." She pouted at him not liking being called distractible. "Those cookies were good." Her hand jumped to the lump under her dress that was the pendant. It was a heavy weight but not uncomfortable.

"Understand what?" She continued to pout at him. Aril growled at Kiyelt and Icewalker just watched ready to move if he felt he needed to. She snuggled Iniu more and giggled as the sail scale nuzzled under her chin.

Nyiim - post 1
Nearby supply tent, keeping to himself but totally approachable! ;D

He was only wandering, looking for a place where he may be useful. There was nothing to fire at quite yet, and that was kind of his specialty by this point. He had assisted in striking the base camp, a welcome distraction from thought of actual battle, but now there was nothing for him to do. He couldn't really cook, his knowledge of first aid was very basic. Hopefully he would run across someone in need of something, anything at all.

Nyiim had been present at the Battle of Neued, and he had been one of those made to flee from the battlegrounds while the Obans took control over yet another location. Soon they would reach his home, the women and children, and what if the war was not over by then? What if all of Tale was razed to the ground before they were able to push the invaders back? So far, Tendaji had not been doing well against the fire clan, but he wasn't going to stop fighting. He would not see his people enslaved because they were an easy target. He knew otherwise, though. The people of Tendaji had banded together and grown as a force.

Bosede walked beside his master, curiously peering around at all of the new faces. There were all types of good animals to chase, but Nyiim had stopped him from going after that one scorra, so they must be pets. He stretched a wing out and Nyiim rubbed it affectionately. He didn't know what would come of them over the course of the battle, or what would come of Tendaji, but he was oddly resigned to the mystery. He may die, they may win, they may lose. As long as he was alive, he would keep trying.

Well he could have led with that statement would have saved him an arm. She stiffled a giggle after 'Lash caught her. She grinned at him ready to pounce again when..she was suddenly soaking wet! Ick. Of all the things that could shock her.. one being an Oban in a Tendaji war camp the second was definitely an impromptu out of thin air bath. She ruffled her hands through her short mane of hair and sprayed the stuff everywhere. The result was that she and Ruelash splashed each other.

She stared at the responsible magic user. Hadn't he noticed they were in the middle of something...important? She tilted her head curious. Now wet with her enemy bleeding the little blood demon was happy if somewhat soggy still.

Being weaponless had its disadvantages but if any other person were allowed to take a hit out on one of her enemies it was Ruelash. Speaking of which she wanted weapons...would have to stop by the supply tent. Then Rue was pissed off again and her hackles rose up in response. For now she watched, and if she allowed herself a glare once in a while at the mouthy pest then well that was only healthy.
