Arianna sat in his bed shivering from shock and fright. When he came into the room, she almost screamed but recognized his voice soon enough that she didn't freak out when he opened the curtain surrounding the bed. When he climbed into the bed and moved her hand, she looked at him with huge scared eyes. She didn't care how weak it made her look, she threw herself into his arms and held onto him tightly. The shaking got worse as she started to cry. "I...I...I don't know...I coul...couldn't see it..." She stammered on. "I...it said...th..that I'm next!" She cried harder and asked. "Wh...what does that mean? Next? I felt it's freezing hands on me....then it bit me....but it wasn't a physical person..." She actually didn't know what it was because a spirit was different than what she felt in that room with her but it was sort of spiritual...She shook her head confused and buried her face in his neck as she held onto him tight. Then what he said registered. "Another Vampire?" She asked pulling back slightly to look into his eyes. Her tears streaked down her cheeks, her eyes huge and bright Amber in color as they searched his face, and looked deep into his eyes. She already knew he was a good man...was he a Vampire?

Connor tried to comfort her by just letting her cry into his chest as he held her against him. He listened to what she was saying though the sobs and he was growing more and more angry by the minute that something would come into his castle and harm her like that. "It'll be alright, Arianna. I won't let anyone harm you." He told her and soothed down her still damp hair. He looked at her as she pulled back and looked at him. It hurt his heart that she was so frightened like this and he didn't even know how to kill the thing that was doing it to her. Then she said 'Another Vampire' and his blood ran cold. His jaw dropped slightly in surprise and knew she was searching for answers in his eyes.

He closed his jaw and nodded slightly, lowering his eyes. He moved her hair from her shoulder as it was slightly sticky with her blood. He looked at the wound that was still fresh and swollen. He moved his mouth to it, licking her neck with his wet tongue, tasting the blood and closing up the wound on her neck with his saliva. He looked back at her and nodded slightly. "The answer to your question is Yes, Arianna."

Arianna's breath caught in her throat when she felt his tongue on her neck. She knew he was good, there was no doubt in her mind that he hadn't done anything that she hadn't allowed and enjoyed fully. Her musings and ideas on Vampires already gave her a good foundation for believing that he could be one and be the wonderful man that he had so far proven himself to be. She saw the way he held his law and knew he was waiting for her to push him away. For the first time since the attack, she felt free of fear. She knew he would protect her and felt no fear of him. Had he wanted to bite and kill her he would have already done it and she had seen the gentleness in his eyes. Her eyes lowered to his beautiful mouth and suddenly she wanted to see his fangs. Then she thought about all of the things she had said to him last night about her ideas of Vampires and she blushed bright red. "You must have found my ideas on Vampires funny, didn't you? But I know your one of the good ones Connor." She said softly, her hand moved from around him to cup his cheek gently. She wished he would look at her. Suddenly, it was important to her that he know she wasn't scared of him. Leaning forward, she kissed him softly at first, her lips taking his lower lip between them. She deepened the kiss slightly and slowly not knowing how he would react to her being so bold. her eyes stayed open as she waited for his eyes to meet hers.

Connor went to say something about her theory's on vampires when her lips were suddenly on his. He was revealed to find that she didn't care, at all. Instead she kissed him. He moaned into her kiss and kissed her back with more intensity, wrapping his arms around her tighter. He looked at her eyes, still full with surprise and wonder, but he seen acceptance and caring in there too. He kissed her more until he pulled back and shook his head, smiling truly to her. "No, I enjoyed hearing them coming from you." He said and kissed her several quick kisses. He was alleviated that she didn't find him any different of a man knowing now he is a vampire.

Although Connor was happy that she knew what he is and and wasn't afraid of him, they still had the issue of what to do about the thing that bit her. He sighed and cupped her chin between his forefinger and thumb. "Arianna, you said the thing told you, 'you're next' correct?" Seeing her nod he sighed. "Next for what.." He thought out loud. "Do you find it strange that the ghost of your sister comes to you, and now this one? You said before that spirits can harm you. perhaps this thing is killing in death now?" He shook his head. "It doesn't seem likely." He continued his thought process out loud. "And it bit you, fang marks of a Vampire. It could be a Vampire playing tricks with the help of something on an astrological perspective. Out of body experiences or witchcraft.." He hummed and shook his head. "Or just be a tricky vampire sneaking into my castle."

Still needing his warmth, she cuddled close to him, her head under his chin. "It wasn't a spirit of someone dead, at least it didn't feel that way. The teeth that bit into me were as real as yours....When a spirit hurts someone, it's in a different way and very difficult to explain." She whispered softly. Looking up at him, she asked curious now. "Do you have no desire to feed from me?" She head heard several stories and ideas about vampires bites being very sensual or sexual and now, she was frankly curious. She wouldn't ask him to bite her, but she was very interested to know how it would feel if he did. Then the image of him biting her during sex entered her mind and she gasped in surprised at the way her body reacted and throbbed at the thought. Blushing, she looked down not sure how he would feel about her question or how she was acting now.

He listened to her and ruled out the idea of it being a spirit. That didn't help the case of it being an actual Vampire sneaking into his castle. It wouldn't be hard since this castle is his and he's a vampire. If he were human a vampire wouldn't be able to enter unless he invited them in. He had a slight thought of just transferring the deed to his castle over to Arianna, then it would belong to her and any vampire, including himself wouldn't be aloud to enter. And if she told him to leave or un invited him, he would be expelled from the home. That would be bad, very bad for him. He was silent as he thought about the problem. Then she asked if he had no desire to feed from her and he nearly choked. "W-what did you say?" He asked and blushed hard. That wasn't it at all. He wanted to feed from her it would be heaven to have his fangs in her and taste that blood hot from her veins wash into his mouth. The thought of it now made him hard and she squirmed in his lap. "Arianna, It- I.. It's complicated." He told her and sighed. "I almost bit you several times last night.. I want to feed from you, but I-" He blushed again. "I don't want to hurt you.."

Arianna was slightly stunned by his admission and unbelievably, she was also flattered. She latched onto that feeling like a drowning woman. The fear she had felt that was literally paralyzing her moments ago was gone and in it's place, she allowed the moment to fill her soul. Her eyes were huge pools of emotion and even a little confusion as she asked. "Really? I get that it's complicated, but....if you want to, why don't you?" She wondered now very curious as to how it would feel for him to bite her. She wanted him to, but she was afraid to ask. he might get angry with her for asking, or even for desiring it in the first place. "You know I'm not scared of that, I'm not scared of you. I know you wouldn't hurt me." She whispered and wondered how she really knew that. Aside from the fact that she would be able to feel it if he had evil intent and she didn't, he had shown her nothing but kindness.

Connor blushed again and shook his his head slightly then he looked at her in her eyes, his hand on her cheek. "Arianna.." He said softly, "Take it slowly. You may say you're not afraid, but the fact is that i'm tearing into your skin and it will hurt, it will bruise and you will lose blood." He told her and gave her a soft smile and a slight blush.. "If... you, want to be ah..." He stopped, thinking for a word to give it. "Host? no, that makes it sound like i'm a parasite.. Um.. Donner?" he nodded. "If you want to donate your blood to my survival then you can, but you have to take care of your body." He told her, very seriously. "Would you like that? There are some rules you must follow if I'm to drink from you."

Ari searched his eyes and thought seriously about what he said. She knew from what happened earlier that it would probably hurt, she knew too that he was being honest with her. Slowly, she nodded and a slow smile spread across her face lighting it up. "You saved my life, saved Devil Wind as well, you took us in when you know I'm nothing but a peasant and you treated me like a real Lady...I would love to repay that, help you as much as possible..." She said hoping she didn't sound totally naive. The thought of having him turn her crossed her mind but she shook that away. She didn't know if that would be something she would want or something that he would want to do and now was too soon to really think about that. "What would you have me do Connor? To take care of myself for you?" She asked softly, her hand cupping his cheek. "Would being a donor be helpful to you?" She did want to make sure that it would actually be something that he would want of her. For some strange reason, she wanted to know that he wanted her, wanted her blood....

Connor nodded. "It would please me to drink from you." He said and leaned forward, kissing her softly. He pulled back slightly, caressing her cheek. "You will have a set scheduled. You will eat at least three times a day and up to five. Small meals if you eat five. Your meals will consist of meats, grains vegetables and fruits. My cook will know what to bring you. You will get regular exercise up to two hours a day. You will spend up to one hour in the sun a day. You will not eat or drink anything that is not approved by me. You will not smoke or do any kind of altering substances besides wine with dinner. You will not have sex with anyone but me. You will not let anyone bleed on you. You will stay away from the ill. You will cover up when you go out into the cold. You will wash every day or night. You must get up to 8 hours a sleep a day or night." He said and seen her head was spinning with all that he just said. "Would you like me to write it down for you? I'm assuming you've been taught to read and write, of course. If not I can teach you."

Ari's head was spinning with everything he told her but she would do it. "Aye please, I can read and write but not well. Da taught me when I was very young and I don't use the skill often." She blushed but realized that by doing this for him, she would be healthier than she ever had been so it was a plus for them both. "When you say exercise, does that include riding Devil Wind?" She knew that many women got their exercise that way.It was actually very physical to ride a horses and not riding in a buggy or wagon. She missed riding Devil Wind, even though it hadn't been a but about a day. She loved horses and riding and she did it well. The thing that grabbed her and made her blush though was him telling her that she would only have sex with him. In a way she took offence at that because she had been a virgin when he took her and had no desire to do that with anyone else. "Why is it important that I have sex only with you?" She asked not thinking that he wasn't privy to her thoughts and feelings. She hoped it would be important because he didn't like the idea of another man touching her but she really couldn't expect that . They had just met and he was a Noble, she a peasant...of course he wouldn't feel that way for her. Why she wanted him to was something she would have to think about. It wasn't realistic at all.

Connor nodded. "It's fine. I'll write them out for you." He brushed her hair aside and smiled softly, moving his feet and noticing he climbed in his bed with his muddy boots and cloak on. He sighed heavy and had her move from him. He stood out of the bed when he heard her ask that question about having sex with others. He turned and looked at her like she was crazy. "Because I said so." He said and pulled his canopy open, tying the curtains to the posts. "Besides that-" He blushed, squaring his jaw a bit. He didn't want to admit that he was jealous! "Why would you want to. I please you, do I not?" He said and growled, yanking the quilt from his bed and tossing it into a corner. "And If you're not careful you can contract a disease." He glared at her. "There is a reason behind everything I say. Don't question my judgment." He hated feeling jealous at the idea of her in bed with another man or woman. He continued to blush because he knew by looking at her, the smile she had in those eyes he just knew she was thinking 'you're jealuos!'

Ari sat stunned by his outburst. Her eyes wide, then she realized how her question must have sounded and she moved to him, hurrying to explai. "Oh no Connor, you misunderstand the reason for my question. It's my fault I know because I spoke without thinking about how that would sound. I don't want to have sex with anyone else..." She blushed bright red as she lowered her eyes and her voice. "I was hoping that you said that because you didn't like the thought of another touching me. It was silly of me I know..." She couldn't look at him, now feeling like a complete idiot. He would probably laugh at her for even thinking about wanting him to feel something for her.

Connor growled slightly. "Damn right you don't want to have sex with anyone else." He walked by her, touching her cheek slightly before he went to his door which was still open. He shouted for one of his servants by name. Soon a middle aged man came inside and he told him to take his quilt and his boots and have them washed and dried and brought back up as soon as possible. While the servant gathered the things, Connor turned back to her. "I don't want you touching or being touched by any other." He told her and pulled off his cloak, tossing it onto the pile the servant was carrying out. "That's why I told you not to have sex with anyone else." The servant closed the door on his way out. "You are a very silly woman for thinking that I mind if you sleep with whomever you wish. You belong to me right now and as long as I have you, You are mine and only I can do what I wish with you. I do not share." He took a deep breath and held his arms out to her, softening his voice and his eyes. "Please. I don't like to explain myself. Just know that I do care about you."

Ari stood watching him and just nodded her agreement. She felt like she had done something wrong and she didn't like the feeling at all. It did make her feel good that he told her that he cared. Maybe it was the fact that she had given him her innocence but she found that she didn't like the thought of another woman touching him. Lifting her chin in a somewhat defiant gesture, she asked him. "Does that mean that you will be abstaining from other sexual partners as well? Her eyes met his and though her chin was defiant, her eyes told him that his answer mattered to her deeply. Then she felt it.


The cold that began to surround her. Her eyes widened and her body shook from the cold. She heard a laugh, it was eerily soft yet so loud that it was all she could hear. It was laughing at her. She felt the cold fingers that ran up her neck and she screamed, jumping away from the hand that she couldn't see. 'Your....Mine....' It whispered in her ear. It sounded so loud in her ear but it was only said in a whisper.


"Get away from me!" She shouted as she tried once again to get away from the voice, the cold touch. Again she felt the laughter and before she knew it, the fangs bit into her neck yet again. 'He can't help you love.' The voice whispered again in her head even while the fangs bit into her painfully. Her terrified eyes met Connor's confused eyes.
