Stage 1
Patched up from a good nap in the infirmary and a day's rest in his drom nest, Israfel eyed the Trick or Treater obstacle course again. Option one was ignore it and go about his day. Option two was try again. Option three was bypass it all, light his arm on fire and head right on over to Nurse Cricket because that pretty inevitable. As he watched several students get burns, (very literally he might add), the siren considered it.
Prizes or....no prizes. Shiny things or no shiny things. Hrmmmm....
Jack it. He wanted shiny things. Signing the weaiver again, he got ready for his second attempt. It was easier then he remembered, and a few times he was sure he wouldn't make it...he did. Just like that, he did.

Looking back at the hurdles, Israfel sighed with relief. It seemed those were easiest by far but looking at the hoops? Nope. Not as confident. The second his boot stepped out of line a gnome was already firing bullets at him, causing the siren to jump back. He couldn't just walk away from this. No, there was only one option, and that was to press onward, and attempt the hoops. A deep breath and he dove through the first one, rolling on the ground before quickly getting up and repeating the process.
Sure, he felt the light brush of heat from the flames, but thankfully, this time, he didn't hit the burning rodes and he actually...made it? Another look back and the siren shuddered. Half way or not, he was pretty sure this thing was designed to kill.

Previous stage score: 100, 75
Firebombs. Was someone jacking with him? He was pretty sure they were. But then again, this was a Trick or Treater's arena. In all probability they were trying to maim the weak and scar the surviving for life. Sort of like the Island, just with less weapony things and more fire.
But Jack damnit why did it have to be fire? More then that, bomb minipets? Really guys? Really? He was close to just sitting on the ground and letting a gnome take him out so he could just dissipate and go reform in nurse cricket's office. But then- A sigh. He'd gotten this far. Watching the bombs swing, the siren figured now or never. When 'Now' hit, Israfel mad a mad dash, almost getting hit but thankfully managing to survive.
He didn't expect that.

A lake would have been welcomed. It would have been loved. But this? This was like an act against Jack. A lake of lava. And not only that the lake was filled with things. Things on fire. Flaming piranha skitters. And by flaming it did not mean the fashionable kind. Nope, these were just plain old burning piranha skitters bent on making Israfel's final attempt at not fiery death miserable.
Looking at the gnomes, the previous stages, and then the lake of lava, the siren took a second to look at his watch. Yup. The day wasn't even half over and he was sure he was doomed. Still he'd gotten this far. Backing up to give himself a running start, he had no idea the pain waiting fr him. The pain being that one of the flaming skitters got him right n the face, sending him crashing into the lake of lava.
The next thing he saw was a glowing green centipede, and all Israfel could think was. "Candle. Jacking. Skitters."

Stage One: Pass just barely
There were.. reprecussions to dying repeatedly. One of which was the swelling headache that was starting to develop. She'd returned to the obstacle course with Jericho, but her heart simply wasn't in it this time. It was clear by the way she just barely hurtled over the fire, and trudged to the next set without even taking a moment of breath.
She just wanted this over with.

Stage Two: Fail
Half-assing flaming hoops was more difficult than half-assing hurtles. This became apparent a few seconds before her body dissipated in the flames, and she eventually reformed in the infirmary again. Her hands reached up to rub her temples, as she sat there and seriously contemplated her decision to attempt this.
Maybe Nox had nothing to say. Maybe he just wouldn't talk to her, in the end. Or maybe he would lie through his teeth. Whatever the case might be, was it really worth dying over and over? Was this school worth it?
Someone better buy me a jacking brain bouquet after all this.

Letting Riley go on ahead, Jericho started to race on after her. As he jumped one of the hurdles, a mysterious wind hit him, causing him to crash down into the flaming bits of wood, sending him back to the infirmiry.
"Tiamat's s**t... this shouldn't be that hard." he groaned in bed.

Seriously. This wasn't really even fun anymore. Was it ever fun to begin with? Dying over and over was giving Riley a rash. She scratched it violently across her arm as she backed up to jump over the hurtles - but OH MY JACK HER LEG ITCHED -
When she woke up in the infirmary, she made a mental note to never
ever
ever scratch an itch on her leg while trying to jump over a flaming hurtle again.

Jericho was determined to get past the damn hurdles for once. Taking in a deep breath, he started to jump them one after another. He got further than he did thus far and he could see the end of this particular obstacle! However, he mistimed one of his jumps and ended up crashing before making it to the next stage.
Again.

Sura took three steps, immediately caught on fire, then stared confusedly at the sensation of why I feel burning? Even up until she dissipated, never even knowing what had hit her.
D'oh!
Now if the Scareling ward had a bed big enough for her....

Ru stepped up to the plate again. It took a big breath to steady her nerves, but she was determined to do this, and do it right. Maybe she'd even make it to round three this time!
The thought lingered as the heat rose from behind and the bullets squealed as they ricocheted off pebbles at her feet.
"Hup!" she barked, jumping over the first hurdle, then again for the other two. She stopped and stared back at them, as though they were stupid, before the wall of flames swallowed them.

Ru shuddered as her eyes tilted towards the flaming hoops. Fire... More fire...
She closed her eyes and off she went. It was kind of... Majestic, in a way, almost, given the clunky figure the troll was afforded, and the burns still healing from her last roll. Three dives later, she let her eyes slip open, peering back at the hoops nervously. "... Did I really? ..." She wasn't actually given time to finish, watching a fuzzy mass of flames slip around in front of her and following it back to the maypole. "Oh s**t..."

Stage 3: 31/50 Fail at the maypole.
Ru stared up at the bombs and, although attracted to their adorable faces, found the flames surrounding those eerie expressions beyond off-putting.
BOOM!
Two collided and exploded right in her face, before she'd time to react. The stars faded, as the growing-familiar room appeared in front of her again, cursing the white-ish walls.

Stage One: PASS!
The colossus had returned to the area of fire that had taken her in such confusion the day before, walking towards the hurdles the others jumped with a curious look on her face.
She thought about reaching out to touch the fire, but instead just stepped over the hurdle in a simple manner. The other hurdles followed thusly. Sura had, in that day, managed to not set herself on fire so soon. A surprise in and of itself.
How would she handle the next challenge?
