Jai smiled and pulled out a Graph-paper notebook.
Then, he wrote down.
3x² - 13 -10tab3x² - 15 + 2 -10
Jai then began to explain. "What you do with this now, since I'll
assume you know how Mr. Aker got to this answer.
You divide it -in half- , feel free to put a little line after
the 15 to help you organize the equation.
But what you do with the 3x² and -15
Is, you find something that both of those can be divided by..."
He paused for a moment, doing the mental math in his head.
Math happened to be one of Jai's stronger points in school.
Coming up with the answer, he looked at Jonathon and let him try and
see if he could figure out something that 3x² and -15 could be divided by.

Tyler looked at Jai for a moment and then nodded.
He was grateful for the young mans offer. Mr. Aker walked away
and left Jai to explain it to Jonathon. Sitting back at his desk,
he took out his phone... drifting through some of the pictures he had.
Sighing, he tossed his phone onto the desk and turned to his computer,
on the phone, this picture was visible.

 Josiah poked his head into the classroom. Looking around,
it looked like they were all doing math. Great. That means
I'm in the right class.. Clearing his throat, he said,
in his still audible Irish accent. "Hello? Mr..... Aker?
Sorry I am late. I uh... sort of got lost." He said and looked around.
Josiah had moved here to Jersey just this year, so he didn't know anyone.
And, he didn't know the city that well either. So he got lost quite easily.

If you can wait till I get home Then I swear to you That we can make this last Alex called out to the new guy "Ay new dude! Why dont you come sit with us gangstas in the back!"
Alice face palmed herself. "Alex...you are such a fail...You could at least ask him for his name before you go all stupid on him!"
Kyle chuckled 'Alright then, new dude, I'm Kyle, WHOA! YOU LOOK LIKE JONATHON!"
Jonathon looked up at this new guy which everyone seemed to not be able to shut up about. He does kinda look like me, doesn't he?
"Um they could both be divided by uh...3?"

Jai looked up while Jonathon was thinking at the new guy.
hmmm. He looks lost. Note to self: Befriend this lost dude
Jai looked back to Jonathon as he said something. He smiled. "Exactly. And since... oops." Jai quickly rewrote the equation.
3x² - 15x + 2x -10
"Almost forgot the X's. But yeah, three. And since they both have
at least ONE X. They can both be divided by 3x"
3x² - 15x + 2x -10
3x(x - 5) + ________
"Alright, so we have that side. Now for the other side.
Something that 2x and -10 can be divided by." Jai said,
giving him time to think and calculate.

Josiah looked up as he heard the words. -New dude-
Sighing he looked to see who called him. I look like WHO?
Josiah had no idea who in the world Jonathon was. But, he smiled,
and walked over to the group that called him.
Okay, so apparently that dude.... is Alex He said to himself,
nodding and sitting down. "I'm Josiah" The young man said quietly.

Please stay forever with me Alice quietly said "I feel so bad for Josiah...the obnoxious guys chose him as their new victim...or new member of the obnoxious guy group I guess...and poor Jonathon...so helpless...so...lost when it comes to school work..."
Jonathon mumbled a few words to himself, and then said "Um...2?"
Alex said to Josiah "Oh, and the dude with the hat getting help over there is Jonathon. The guy helping him is Jai. I'm obviously Alex, the red head over there is Alice, and the girl with her is Ami."

Ami nodded to Alice.
"Yeah, maybe, if he's lucky. Then maybe
they wont convert him..." Ami said softly. Jai looked up and nodded to Josiah as his name was said.
Smiling he turned to Jonathon. "Right 2. no X. Just two." He said, writing out the next half.
3x² - 15x + 2x -10
3x(x - 5) + 2(x -5)
"Now, you know that you're on the right track.
When the answers in the brackets are the same.
In this case. Both x -5. If they weren' the same,
then we would've done somethin' wrong." Jai explained in his strong Texan accent.
"Now, you take the 3x and 2, so the stuff outside of the brackets.
And place those into the first set of the answer brackets.
Like..."
(3x +2)____ "So... Then the stuff inside."
(3x +2)(x -5) "And that's your finished answer.
These types of problems take quite a bit of work to figure out." Jai said, smiling.
"Do you get it now?" He asked softly.
(3x + 2)(x -5)... divide that, by that...
Multiply........ Yeah, that's right Jai did the quick mental
math in his head to make sure he got the right answer.

Josiah nodded and let his eyes follow Alex's as he named people.
"Alex.... Jonathon..." Josiah tilted his head...
do I really look like him? he wondered.
"Uh... Jai... Alice.... and.... A.... mi? Ami?"
Josiah stumbled on the last name, sort of forgetting it.

Please stay forever with me So you just had to break it up and divide it by what goes into both...oh...wow...easy... "Yeah. I get it now. Thanks."
Alex nodded "Yeah, Ami. And Alice is my sister. Jonathon my cousin, and the rest are my friends"
Alice laughed "Convert him...ah I remember what Kyle was like before they converted him...he was really cool...like...you know how he is with Nikki? He was like that all the time. Now we have this obnoxious, loud, stupid oaf with 3 others just like him."
Hearing what Alice had said, Kyle snapped "I. AM. NOT. AN.OAF. I'm too pretty to be an oaf, missy"
Alex laughed "Yeah man, preach it!"

"Well, maybe he'll stand firm in who he is"
She said, laughing at the "obnoxious" group. Jai smiled. "Great! Now, I think I'll go back to my spot up
there. But if you need help again. Then feel free to ask or something"
He said, walking back to his desk and sitting down.

Jonathon = Alex cousin... rest are friends. Got it
He nodded again and listened to them talk.

Alex chuckled "Dang Jonathon..."
Jonathon rolled his eyes "Shut up...I get it now"
Kyle looked at his paper "You know most of that is wrong...even the absolute value stuff..."
Jonathon groaned, doing it again.
Alice messed around with her hair since she was done with her work.
Kyle messed around with his hair now. "Hey, do any of you know if Seth's in this class? Cuz I need hair tips. Now. I don't know what to dye it."

Alex mumbled to himself "Well I'm sorry it sounded like a joke..."
Alice laughed quietly "I really wanna see just how many guys are actually in the obnoxious group. Sad as it is to say, there's only one girl in that group. Alexis. And of course she isn't in this class...she took math over the summer right?"

Jai shook his head. He didn't care what Alex meant for it to sound like.
Sometimes, people take things the wrong way.
You can't ever take back words.
Ami nodded. "I think so"
Josiah smiled, sort of.
"Hi... I'm Josiah".
Seth smiled at Josiah. "Well, I would be Seth" he said, grinning.
Then, turning to Kyle he laughed.
"Just because I've got..." he waved to his own hair.
"...This, going on, you think I know hair?" Seth asked jokingly.
"Well, lucky for you, I do"
"First, make a list of colors you'd like to see in your hair.
Then, we can decide which one would work best for you.
Then... We find the hair stuff, the good stuff, not the crappy stuff.
That stuff ruins the hair. And then.... That's about as far as I know.
BUT, I could call back home, and see if my
hairdresser friend could come and do your hair for you".

Please stay forever with me Kyle nodded, starting to write out colors "So I used to have green in my hair, but then it faded and looked like friggin seaweed...so I'm not going there again. I was thinking about purple...or more blonde...or maybe just all black...but then I'd look like everyone else, so screw that. Maybe more blonde? Or maybe RED!"
Alex started to mess with his own hair. "Am I the only one keeping my hair at it's natural color?"
