Keptan I think Sandra's power of people either immediately noticing or not noticing her is my favorite, though. That just strikes me as a power you can have some serious fun with. xd Must ... somehow ... really obtain powers! gonk heart

Gendou's a living shadow? Wow. Incorporeality's gotta suck. Does he just form clothes out of his body? Or does he even bother?
Jillian's gotta be fairly traumatized. I wonder what it'll take to get her talking again? Will she just learn sign language instead?
David... I wonder how he first expressed. As a fairly simple superhuman, will he be able to hold his own against the others?
Kevin's geokinesis sounds interesting. Is this simply tossing rocks around the air? Does it extend to, say, concrete and girders?
Who'd Rowan accept without comment? surprised
Robin's an alchemist? That sounds pretty interesting. I'm curious about what kind of compounds she can form, what it takes to do so, and what kind of range she can do it at.
The drilling needle gets it's own line. gonk
Weston's got versatility! *dances*
Sandra seems kinda scary. Does the effect extend to personnel monitoring remotely? Cameras and telescopes and the like?
Michael's hands interest me. Will his hands become as hard as the weapons they morph into, or will they retain a bit of fleshy vulnerability? If he should hit something harder than they are, how will the damage express?
I so want to see Rene in action.
Ultimately, I wonder what kind of class this is. neutral
And oh! New chapter!
I like how the class interacts. Students playing off of each others comments, rapidly escalating as such discussions tend to. Infiltration tactics sounds very intersting - and kinda scary. Poor kids.

Westonian Who'd Rowan accept without comment? surprised You mean here? "Rowan chuckled, tossing his dossier into the acceptance stack. She flipped through the next few quickly, tossing two into the rejection pile and one into the acceptance stack. Meghan glanced at the two rejected ones, but said nothing. Rowan paused at the fourth one. "Another Beta," she said. " Well, is there anyone in the class we don't know the powers of, yet?

That was a very good way of introducing everyone without it seeming too forced, I'm glad you did it how you did and not as they appeared in the story. It establishes the characters very early on, so we don't have to learn them later, very nice for reading.
I agree with kiji, though. everyone is together in their own world, it seems like it would be a fun group to be part of. (Excepting the traumatized ones. Liquified insides? I would cut my tongue out.)

Quote: "Gaia Alpha," she mused, looking over the file in front of her. "Wait, he has to turn into a girl in order to use his abilities?" "Yes," Meghan said. "His metamorphic abilities are purely Beta-level, but his geokinesis and florakinesis are Alpha-class." "But he can only control rocks and plants while in female form?" "Yes. We're transitioning him to a few Alpha-level classes on a probationary basis." "Why wasn't he in Alpha-level classes before, then?" Rowan asked. There was a pause. "Kevin is one of our more outgoing and well-adjusted students," Meghan finally said. "Meaning he's a royal pain in the a**," Rowan chuckled, tossing his dossier into the acceptance stack. YES YES OMG YES YES I LOVE YOU. heart And I can totally see myself as the troublemaker of the crew. I really love how you integrate our personalities and descriptions from real-life AND our characters from online and *cough* stories. Gushing over my character aside, I absolutely love the interaction between everyone in the classroom. You very clearly have personalities and quirks defined, and I can definitely see that you're setting the stage for some conflicts and/or comraderies in the future. I definitely look forward to more. Westonian Kevin's geokinesis sounds interesting. Is this simply tossing rocks around the air? Does it extend to, say, concrete and girders? I certainly hope so. Concrete, at least, since that's TECHNICALLY stone. Not so sure about metal. But my powers are absolutely perfect for me. It's like Allison said in my story: Quote: "That's the thing about us mortals," Allison said, smirking. "Everyone underestimates what we can do. They assume that Earth-type magic is the weakest of the four elements. Those aligned with Water can also work with ice and steam, Wind-aligned mages can call upon lightning bolts as well as tornadoes and gales, and fire is freakin' fire. 'Oh, you're aligned with the Earth? The ground is shaking, I'm scared! What are you going to do, grow flowers at me?'" She shook her head. "Second Law of Combat: Never underestimate your opponent." She waved a hand and the spire sank back into the ground; the concrete sealed itself back up.

I've been thinking about that, actually. (It made my 9am chem class more interesting.) Seriously, chemical powers sound sort of useless on the surface, but think of the possibilities. For example, you can light the air on fire. Now imagine trying that AFTER I increase the concentration of flammable gases at the target. domokun

Amy Plum, Liz Brauer, and anyone who didn't get screen time. I think. Moryera Westonian Robin's an alchemist? That sounds pretty interesting. Or you could go the Midas route and turn it to gold. So long as you're at it, you could even mess with someone's body chemistry - maybe even your own?

Something comes to mind:
Villians.
Whom are we going to fight in superly heroic fashion..? (Not whom, as in Whom, but I mean who with an M)
Amy's predictions of possibilities:
1) The Magneto-esque character, who is trying to liberate the students from the oppressive government.
2) The Omega Red style character, who is an articficially created abherent from some some foriegn government, or some other orginization.
3) The Juggernaut character. Some random a**, who found a magical rock that gives him suprisingly specific and useful superpowers. In addition to being an a**, Mr. Random Villian is probably tied to someone's backstory.
4) The "Insert the name of practically every X-men hero, at one point or another, villian" aka the traitor (although probably isn't really a traitor because... ). Traitors are always fun, villians, but they have the damndest time not really being some metamorph, posing as said team member.
5) The "I'm too sexy for a last name, villian" Usually named for something bad of getting beaten up/to death/end of the world. See: Onslaught, Apocylpse, Doomsday, and so on. This villian type will either get thwarted relatively easily, by a group of inexperenced teenagers or he'll kill everyone, but boggle it somehow, so everyone didn't really die, or finds a way to come back, or whatever.
6) The "Hey, that's MISTER" Villian. Detectable by a title of some kind preferental title. (Oddly enough, DOCTOR Doom never got his doctorate, yes MISTER Sinister has been a medical doctor for 150 years give or take...). This SoB, has some overriding motive for all his acts of evil and of course he can't finish his particular hobby of choice, without taking captives... lots of captives... it's really always about the captives. Watch out for this villian type, he has the tendency to show up/be behind every misfortune you've ever had or are going to have.
7) The "Area 51 villian/s". Aliens. Aliens come in all shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common, they want to make life miserable for anyone who dons the tights of herodom. From giant space bugs, to evil bird people, to little green bald guys with questionable fashion apparel, practically every alien race is out to ruin your weekend, avoid if possible, but if all else fails have your leader marry thier empress.
Wow... sweatdrop Remind me not to type out loud, whenever I have a geeked out moment again...

They all know that he's a second-generation, no comments needed for that, I think. Personally, I got very confused initially with all the new names. I felt that there were too many names given at one time. Eventually I got used to them, but it made Chapter 6 a little hard for me to read. Still, Chapter 6 was more fun powers. I liked it. I liked florakinesis and Whiteout. Being practically invisible is really wow. And florakinesis means Kevin will always win the Largest Pumpkin Prize. Alliance: Uh, could you link me to your story? I lost the link... sweatdrop
