Kyoki Marie Question: What else causes symptoms of pregnancy besides pregnancy? I'm prone to psyching myself up (and out) about things, and recently I'm -exhausted- beyond words, and nauseous off and on, ect, ect. Home tests come home negative, so I'm trying to work out what else makes those same symptoms.
gonk Isn't there anyone else who's still -trying- to concieve and hasn't yet? Hey don't beat yourself up about that. It happens quite a bit here. We've just decided to stop "psyching" ourselves out and reading stuff into what could be something else completely. Take a gander at the other thread about such a subject. It makes you realize that you aren't the only one alone dealing with this. Kind of helps for me.

As for the symptoms, I've been like that for 6 months now. (Totally know how that goes) Oo You'd swear I'm pregnant, but I'm not. I think it's just being psyched and wanting a baby so badly. The mind has a scary amount of control over the body.

Now we are just letting it happen in God's time. I know that is a cliche, but hey. If it happens, we will be the happiest parents in the world.

Auronsama confused I have a question; is there anything else that I need to do? I have the basics; exercise and eat healthy. I'm right there with you. But from what I've seen and read (quite a bit), the basics are about all you can do. There are tons of other suggestions, but they turn out to be a pile of $&!@. Those are usually dangerous to your health or have no benefit whatsoever. If you do happen to find something, pass it on so I can check it out and see if it is worth trying. I would be interested.

I'm not TTC, I'm already pregnant, but I wish you all good luck and fertility. wink
For us it took about 15 months of trying before anything happened, and it also took few months to actually notice that I was pregnant because of irregular period and not having morning sickness or any other symptoms. sweatdrop

The mind has a scary amount of control over the body. ::laughs:: i'm with you... for some odd reason my body takes spells of being pregnate, when it isn't... then it just up and desides to be normal. the way i know i am not is by my little visitor. god i hate it, but it has never been wrong. i myself want baby number 2. but i know it all comes in good timing... however, my biggest problem... is that ever since baby number one i get sore easy. i am not easily in the mood... etc. but i don't want to go to the doctors, because i feel that nature will take its corse. and when it is time, i will be pregnate. ::huggles:: besides all good things come when you are least expecting them!

I'm sure this has already been answered, but stress can play a huge factor in sex, right?

Okay, I guess I can admit it...
We're TTC for our second right now we really really really really would hope and wish for a little boy (a little girl is not a bad thing but one of both would be THE BEST EVAR). And while I was reading up on some ovulation things I found out something interesting I did not know about the human reproduction, I thought I'd share.
While sperm cells are responsible for determining gender having sex at a certain time in your ovulation cycle can help increase your chances for one gender over another.
Here's why: Sperm can live from four to five days in the uterus, where as an egg cell only lives for about 48 hours max. The sperm that carry the X chromosome (girl) are heartier, slower and larger whereas the the sperm that carry the Y chromosome (boy) are weaker, smaller and fast.
SO say you ovulate on the 29th. Then if you have had sex on the 25th by the time you ovulated you'd have lots of little Girl carrying sperm cells still floating around in there waiting for a ripe ole egg.
However, if you have sex ON the day that you ovulate or the night before or night after, the FASTER boy carrying sperm cells are likely to make it there first and thus you have a greater chance of having a boy.
It's not a 100 percent as you might still have some boy spermies floating around after four days who beat the odds, and a girl spermy might just beat out the faster boy ones. But since I want a boy, I'm going to at least try. And everything is ALWAYS based on averages which well, we're all different.
