Someone went in to one of my classrooms the other night, and with a socket wrench, actually stole a projector. Seriously, of all the things to steal... they picked a projector eek

what kind of projector.

On an unrelated tangent, I'm writing an Exalted End-game for the weekend after next.
I'm on 30+ pages and I haven't started the actual scenario yet. crying

I couldnt tell you the model number. Its a computer one, not an old overhead projector (if anyone still uses those things). Unfortunately I couldnt give you specifics, as I know nearly nothing about them.

Anytime I confront an irrational fear in myself, I get pissed and feel moved to correct it. I have a standing promise to myself that the next time I see an earwig, I'll pick it up to prove to myself just how irrational my fear is. (I'll let you know whether I manage to follow through. sweatdrop )

For the record, I consider an irrational fear to be a fear of anything that can't really hurt me that much.

NOTE: Weirdly, I have no emotional fear of needles or shots, but I still almost pass out every time I get blood drawn. I get dizzy, become nauseous, lose my vision, and my hearing goes muzzy. Can't say I know quite how to cure myself of that.

I usually don't remember to confront my fears because I'm too busy running away from things like bees. >.>

@Fiddler: I googled camel spiders gonk I will never sleep again...

Ok, I'd really like to comment on this bee convo, but I can't really relate. I'm ok with bee's and wasps (hornets scare me though).

What i'm scared of is CATERPILLARS. Don't laugh, it's a serious phobia whee . I feel panicky just thinking about them! If I see pictures of them I get all squeamish and weird, I check tree's in summer before I walk under them....and if I see them i'm gone. xD Ughhh, how can people think they are cute?

I'm also really bad with blood tests. I'm fine with needles and fine with blood, but somehow together? I pass out before AND during them. xD

But but but Caterpie! *teary face*

Roaches, flies, and ants creep me out. So do spiders, to an extent, but I'm better at living peacefully with them.

Now, needles? Those I do not like. Do not get needles near me. I allegedly scream, punch, kick, scratch, and bite. I really wouldn't know, I had my father and mother holding me down last time I had to do anything involving needles, and don't remember anything after seeing the syringe.

I hate spiders. But instead of cringing like I used to, I now take a board or something and slam it against the spider as hard as I can, screaming "DIE FOUL BEAST!"

I've scared a few people in my hallway doing that. xD

Spiders are awesome. I don't like them crawling ON me, but I'm more than fine seeing them skitter around. They're good luck.

Spiders, stinging flying insects and rats. I accidentally put my hand on a wasp nest once crying and they chased me for a while, I finally jumped into a pond. We had HUGE FREAKING RATS in our barn and they were agressive and would attack. I've gotten pretty far with my crippling fear of rats though. I now own two. I do not handle them, but I do change their water and feed them, hubby has to do everything else. I also have to be able to work on them. Gavaging rats when you are terrified of them is not fun for me or the rats. And spiders are just plain creapy. Except Charlotte, she was nice 3nodding

Oh, oh! I know what you're talking about! It's the "We're all pretty much ******** eventually anyway, so there's not too much point in worrying about it" attitude. I hear it's a really useful outlook for survival situations. Helps keep a person level-headed.

Exactly.

I do apologize, I didn't mean to cause any sever reactions.
But then again, better reading it from me than being surprised by it in the waking world...? sweatdrop

I won't post anymore links to beasties or the like.
However, methinks I might actually start the Here There Be Monsters project.
If anyone has any terrifying animals I aught know about, please PM them to me.

CuAnnan, I envy you not.

CuAnnan, I envy you not.

I'll be sure to send you the finished product, considering you helped me conceive and write it all those years ago.
Between recommending Wonders of the Lost Age and the Black and White Treatises, I wouldn't have been able to do it without those books.
Now to procure legal copies.

Can you include the platypus in there, just because it is so weird?

Happiness, Joy, and Bibilophilia!

I am the proud owner of a leather-bound, gold-edged, complete works of The Brother's Grimm Fairytales, as well as some Irish Fairy Tales, The Subtle Knife (2nd His Dark Materials series), and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with Through the Looking Glass... all from Barnes and Noble for a little over $40.

I am a happy book worm.

Rightio, best of fortune on that.
May the Maiden of Journeys see you safely alongst.

Platypus seems like a mild TTSNB, but a TTSNB nonetheless.

Good for you Taliah.
I'm trying to save up for a signed copy of Theodore Roosevelt's Guide to African Hunting Trails.
