If one more person purports this entire thing to be Bush's fault I think I'm just going to have to overthrow the goverment for the sheer fact that we'll never have a block of voters that are intellectually honest with themselves.

It's amasing me just how much people believe that isn't even rational in the least bit. So let this just be a warning that I'll probably have an article coming up that is going to piss off a vast amount of people.

I'm warned. Can't wait to read it.

A little controversy might be refreshing, I don't know. Maybe it'd be safer to state that it's your opinion, becuase it is America, and you are entitled to have one. But whatever.

I've come down with a cold. Had my first football game of the season last night too. And I got invited to a heavy metal christian rock concert tonight, which is something that's never been done before. What's funny is the guy who asked me is atheist. xd He thought by the way I act that I'd be one too, and he guessed right. It felt like a slap in the face when he told me though. So strange!

I'll try getting my staff bio up today. Do we have any picture size preferences? What size did you use on yours, Jaho? Scratch that, becuase I didn't look at the thread first. Ever feel like a jenius?

Two athesists meeting to go to a christian rock concert. I think the only thing better would have been meeting at one, or meeting in a church.

Well, it's not so much an opinion as a "how the ******** can you honestly believe that" sort of thing.

@ Alice: Done. And as for finding errors... yeah. I blame Jahoclave for most of them.

@ Jahoclave: I love you.

And I blame Bane since he isn't here to defend himself.

...I didn't quite understand that first statement.

But I'll be reading.

I've posted a minishop rough draft on the first page of our minishop thread, third post. 3nodding Change it as you like.

And I had an idea. Recently I had an english assignment. I had to find 50 allusions that happened within my 15 years of living. It was actually kind of fun, because everytime I looked at the list I took a nice little stroll down memory lane. It also make you think about how long you've been living and when other allusions might have come around.

I had things like "Who let the dogs out?" (I got so tired of that song) and Teletubies ( xp ), furbies, "Dude, you got a Dell," My Achy Breaky Heart, Napolean Dynamite, etc. Add in all the political stuff, Brittany Spears, and things like Columnbine, and you've got well over fifty.

It makes a nice discussion topic, I think. ^^

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but how exactly is your life supposed to allude to anything. Either that or our English classes are severly failing in their definition of what an allusion is.

You see it in literature all the time. People are constantly making allusions to things like Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare in general, movie stars, etc. You made one once about Patton, in our little factoids. My assignment was to find allusions that came around and/or happened in my lifetime that people in the future were most likely to allude to.

Ah, well that makes sense then.

So does anyone have any brilliant ideas for our BTB feature this month? Or any other ideas for that matter? We definitely have enough submissions for September, so let's focus on the other things to make this an issue to be remembered...

P.S. Staffies! Don't forget to submit your picture and bio for the Staff Spotlight! *mummish glare*

Oh yes! And is anyone up for writing a review? I'll go bug Bookie about it later, but it would be nice to have more than one review this first time around...

I could write you a satrical review of Gail Gengler, but nobody would know what the ******** I was talking about. Or I could give you my review of this article that I ripped to pieces when I finish it. But neither of those actually would work for anything relevant.

I would like to do a short peice entitled "Creative Ways to Killing Yourself: A step by step guide to eliminating yourself from the gene pool," but that is against the ToS.

I admit, I would be one of those mindless idjuts for you to confuse. (Never heard of Genglar...) However, I'd be happy to post your review if you have the time for it. Satirize us, please.
