σσ¢: Sorry for not posting sooner ▶ Elin held his umbrella close to his body, Boy this rain is getting out of hand, he thought with a soft sigh. After his gaming session with his new friend Esmee, she convenienced Elin to buy an umbrella, and a few games she recommended, to which he agreed after her endless pouting. He didn't mind the rain on his skin, it was calming for him in some weird way. He preferred to be rained on, in his case, than to be dry. It was weird, he knows, but it was something he seemed to enjoy, so he went with it. With a slight chuckle to the thought of being a "push over" as Esmee called it. And she was right in some aspect. He's never been able to live his life to the fullest, always being under the knife and being tortured, he's always been a "push over" he guessed. Ah well. he thought with a casual shrug.
Elin looked at his watch and nodded. He was on time to his new job, thankfully. The local bookstore had caught his eye when he was "out and about." He didn't know how to get a "job", but he somehow acquired the position. Thankful to have something occupy his time, and his interest, Elin thought of the perfect opportunity. He opened the door to the bookstore and smiled. Books always made him the happiest. New adventures, the mysteries of the deep, the unknown waiting to be explored, he loved all of it.

He ended up having a migraine yesterday and it definitely sucked, having to take medication and some bed rest to clear it away. Today, he was back to work and he would have his day-off tomorrow, which he would usually enjoy indoors in his private office. Luckily, though, there was finally the new manager, and it was a male; honestly, he was chill as long as the newcomer would still know the responsibilities. Benjamin was just done moping the floor and the other employee was busy with the arrangement of the books when the door opened, revealing the new co-worker, and the half-demon was inspecting the look casually. He straightened his posture, the handle positioned in a vertical line under his hold, as he greeted the newcomer. "Good morning. So you must be the new manager of this establishment. Looking forward to working with you." More importantly, Soren had to show up, but he may be sick as well, so he had no right to intrude as of this moment.
Ben then resumed moping until he was done with the entire place. A few customers then dropped by and he had to attend to them as soon as possible.

σσ¢: Sorry its crappy ;n; ▶ Elin looked around at the books, taking the feeling of the brims in, and the neat, organized way they had been lined on the shelves. A library of adventures, he was surely excited to start his job. Upon hearing a voice, the man turned and looked at his new coworker. Elin nodded with a smile,
Good morning. I hope I'm not to early. It's nice to meet you as well. He felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility from this man, he also felt a bit uncomfortable with all the formal talking. He disregarded his feelings and walked towards the front, stopping a few times to help some customers.

Seeing that the new manager was not used to such formal speech made Ben feel concerned; he should try to chill down a little in being a bit too formal, but being an organized nutcase that he always was, that habit of his was ingrained into him and it was dying hard. He should definitely know more about the new manager soon, but that would wait till lunchtime would drop by. Once the few customers were attended to and they left, another few came around, and he had to help them out. Even the weather would not stop patrons from dropping by, more so when they were having something to read while chilling at Moonbucks. Definitely, that was the beauty of having a coffee shop within waking distance of the shopping district, aside from having to drink coffee or any other warm beverage to combat against the weather, though the temperature was warmer compared to yesterday.
Maybe he should invite his boss for that casual beverage experience in Moonbucks once the shift would be over for the day, or even during the day-off tomorrow. That was if the other wouldn't mind the invitation.

σσ¢: ▶ Elin was feeling confident. He had gotten the first half of the store memorized, currently working on the second half of the store, and helped a few customers while he was at it. He noticed the floors had been cleaned and the counters wiped. The shelves are organized and all the books have been placed on the correct lettering section. Elin noticed that the other male had been here before he came in, he really should get his name. Elin walked to the front,
taking in the quiet store and the gentle smell of new books. He grabbed a piece of paper from the counter and a pin, clicking it and writing down a few notes of the books they had for sale. He would be sure to pick them up and read them before he left.

With another set of customers being taken care of, Ben was looking at the view, the drops sticking to the glass windows like confetti. While the temperature had changed, it wouldn't change the fact that umbrellas and raincoats were still needed for protection. Not that Ben would mind anyway, though he also had other plans internally written in his head once the sun would shine again. He then stared at the wall clock; a few hours left before lunch break, which meant that it would be a long day ahead of those present for the shift. Depending on how many customers would come by today, the entire day would be slow and casual.
In order to pass the time and to set up the mood, Benjamin had brought along some CDs with classical music. Nothing too loud, but still stimulating enough to keep the co-workers and clients energized during the stay.

σσ¢: Lmao for a minute there I thought Benjamine was staring at Elin and calling him the view. ▶ With the quiet, slow atmosphere setting in, Elin became slightly sluggish. It wasn't too noticeable at first, but within time anyone could tell he was going to sleep soon. It was a given with the weather being dreary and gloomy that they would be getting some slow business. It really gave Elin some time to browse and get accompanied to the store further then before. He made a note of the other male heading towards the front and watched curiously as to what he was doing. Not to long after, the blond haired male had come back and the sounds of classical music played through the store. An interesting touch, Mused Elin as she turned to the shelves of books in front of him, humming along to the soft pianos and strings that played throughout the store.

Thanks to the music, there was some commentary from the incoming clients, though the numbers were just a few, not a heavy stream during sunny days. Ben had those CDs brought along with him when he moved into Soleil, so it was best that the others would also enjoy the musical company throughout the day aside from himself. Seeing those people asking questions about the compositions induced a smile on his face alongside the usual inquiries that requested his assistance. Not to mention that one client was suddenly interested and they picked up a copy of the beginner's manual to piano music. Not bad for a marketing strategy to boost more sales for the bookstore.
Maybe next time, he should also include traditional music from Asian classical instruments. It would depend on how many CDs he had in his Ombre house, however, as he planned to carry only what be could manage on his plan to move to the city for a fresh start.

σσ¢: I don't know how to really approach this so... ▶ After sifting through a different number of books, Elin had a long list in his hands. He seemed to be in the murder mystery phase, and majority of these books fit that genre. It took up most of the list, to his surprise. Nodding softly along to the music, and over hearing the conversations of customers, Elin was pleasantly surprised by how many people liked this type of music. Some customers even opted to try playing the piano. With a turn of his heels, Elin walked back up towards the desk and placed the pin back into its holder, then smiled towards the male, Very wise choice in the music. I'm surprised by the positive feedback as well. Elin relayed as he watched over the store with calm eyes. He turned towards the blond with a smile, I've been rude, I suppose. My name is Elin De'gorn.
It's a pleasure to meet you. Even though formal talk made Elin uncomfortable, he was still going to continue to be polite towards the other party. It just seemed more... "Nicer" then just spewing random mannerisms.

With the customers leaving, the chattering had died down, the music playing along without the interruption of the human voices except that two of them. Benjamin blinked curiously at he compliment, a small 'o' forming on the mouth because of awe. "I'm just making sure that everyone is having fun even with the weather, is all." The introduction then moved along and Benjamin smiled. "It's all well, my friend. My name's Benjamin Harris. Been a sales associate for a long time, put under a few managers, until you decided to step in and help us all." Even Crevan had been missing for a long time as well and there were times in which he couldn't help but wonder if everything would be okay for the fox. It would be mostly with his relationship with Angel, though the fate with those two was still currently unknown. Honestly, it would be best to be informed of the long absence instead of being left out in the dark, at least that was what he would believe. "May I ask when you started living in the city? You must be a newcomer."
That was his wild guess, but that was what newcomers may do in order to earn some more money, to get a job. But then again, the motives would be more than just a fresh start, a new life away from the past.

Elin smiled softly. Benjamin. That's a nice name, it fit him too. For some reason Elin wanted to compare him to the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. He has similar qualities, at least to Elin he did. With a small airy chuckle to himself,
the man leaned down, his hands propping his head as he tilted to look around the store, then to look at his new coworker, I just moved here. I've heard of this place quiet a few times. Elin remembered the many flyers and commercials that talked highly of this island. The doctors also mentioned taking their family here, he only hoped he wouldn't run into them. Nothing good would come of it.
