Amu Tsukiyomi-sama suishohatake Amu Tsukiyomi-sama Nanzzy-chan Amu Tsukiyomi-sama I thought St. Nicholas' day was Dec 6? ”We're going off tonight to kick out every light, take anything we want, drink everything in sight We're going til the world stops turning while we burn it to the ground tonight”
I don't know how it is anywhere else in the world, and yes, that is the day he died at least, but in the Netherlands Saint Nick's day is always celebrated on the 5th 3nodding (and the season-appropriate candy is already in stores despite it only being halfway September~ emotion_kirakira )
Fun fact: Your Santa Claus was based off of our (which is to say, the European, because despite it being just a Dutch holiday, I do believe the Saint himself is more widespread) Saint Nicholas emotion_yatta Not that there's a lot of similarities anymore with how much Santa's portrayal has changed xd In America, it is on Dec 6. I know. I learned about Santa's origins long ago. Don't like Santa, prefer St. Nick by far. At least St. Nick really existed and isn't some crazy old guy who breaks into houses....and the over-comercialization of Xmas just pisses me off......not to mention, I've never liked the origin for christmas....kinda ruins my birthday, it does...Thankfully, my birthday isn't that close to Xmas, but still.... Wyrd! emotion_brofist In grade school, they always had us bring a sock to class or put a shoe out in the hallway (I think once we even made paper shoes) that day and at the end of school, we could take a sock or shoe full of chocolate coins home to nom in one sitting xD XD emotion_brofist I'd know nothing about the grade school thing....^_^;; But I'd always meant to put a shoe outside my door....and never remembered to...Then again, I didn't need to put a shoe out for Dec 6 to get presents that day anyway. Might be why I never really remembered the shoe, actually... Yeah, we hang stockings up that day and my mom would fill them with tons of candy, a small plushie, fruit, and nuts... I tell her now just to give me fruit and nuts and nothing else. She still manages to throw a lip gloss or two in there though xD But I do feel for ya! emotion_hug My birthday is the day before Valentine's day... it can get rather depressing sometimes... sad

Makes way more sense xd
True dat, although, if you take the Dutch version of the story, it's just as crazy; he rides over the rooftops on his white horse and with his helpers, and basically brings the gifts the same way as Santa does xD Over-commercialization of anything is never good, IMO lol Being a Christian myself, I care a lot about the origin of Christmas (although even then, it's been so mixed up with Germanic holidays that it's pretty much impossible to pinpoint just exactly what does and what doesn't count as origin...); I'm actually glad over here we have the gift-giving part on Saint Nick's instead of Christmas so that that holiday can really just be focusing on what it's all about, at least for those who believe in it 3nodding ... Speaking of which, when IS your birthday? emotion_kirakira

sabrinix frozen_flames06 sabrinix frozen_flames06 sabrinix frozen_flames06 ......Yarr, leave the governor's daughter at port...no rum near her.. tried that too, she ended up being the pirate king. though as pirate king, i think it's safe to say that she doesn't mind the rum as much. (soo tired, g'night) "scowls." blast her! then ye hear she banned the rum and goes off into the fog! ah yes, but do ye remember what happened that made us need a pirate king in the first place. acause i do and after all that who wouldn't need a drink? besides there's always port. making port that is. ....Aye, but who had to clean up when Davy Jones pops out on my port....alive and wanted parley......."opens another bottle." wait wha? either you've had too much to drink or i've had too little, because that didn't quite make sense (how the heck did he pop out on a port? ) Port side of me ship..."takes a long drink from bottle."......and you had too little. "offers a bottle."

Blast him! we run him through till he bleeds color. pirate Yea, a fitting end for such a scurvy landlubber. Aye, then we steal his money and his wenches! Nay, he be wenchless. And th' wenches I hear have been consort to him are not worth the wages they earn from "work". (I never liked Pansy....she irked me in the books. *no clue about her in the movies, I watched up to the fifth and got angry at the sixth and refused to watch any more. Y U BURN DOWN TH BURROW?! That never happened in the sixth book! Possibly the seventh, but the sixth?!?!?!* ) "scowls." Then we take his gold and get ourselves some rum and wenches! ((I have no idea what you are talking about...but it sounds interesting.))

Nikakaeo i mean, i made a fake giveaway and made it extremely obvious to anyone who read it that it was fake... and it has almost 9000 notes, with only 26 people who figured out it's fake on their own Ah. Never underestimate people who think there's free stuff.

Quote Just because your birthday is almost over Doesn't mean you're off the hook just yet...

 Be ready... I'm going to assume this came from in here since I've been so absent in the CB thread... I'm so afraid... ;_;
