*rolls her eyes* Scalpels are quite old already silly xp it is things like MRI's and X-Rays and most antibiotics that would not fit into that era... the main problem that real Victorian age doctors had was germs and lighting issues... plus the fact that they didn't know as much about the human body as they pretended to sweatdrop *shrugs* but if you took electricity and antibiotics out of the picture, medical procedures have not changed that much in the last 2-300 years*shrugs again*

Doesn't seem like there's many ways to change removing a limb or organ. s'kinda like swords. When you get down to it, they all serve the same function. Guns, bows, only difference is in the end result, bigger holes, bigger explosions, etc. and in all honesty I think our culture is back tracking it's way down that ladder *glares out the window at people blasting rap at 9 in the bloody morning*

Alcohol... Anti-septic, Anesthetic, Depressant, Inflammable (some), and all around handy stuff.
I can see Medics in the period being very resourceful people.

I'm not sure how well most of my locations would be translated into a Steam Punk setting.
Also, fail for informing me.
A steam powered Vahn would be awesome.

Most of your locations won't be included since it'd be too difficult to convert all of them. To start with, it's just going to be Levi and the surrounding areas such as Latent, Barton, Aekea (which won't really have to be changed much at all) and POSSIBLY Gambino (Though that ENTIRE location will have to be completely re-built)
If people want to add more places along the line, it can be done.
Also: I only decided this tonight. You were informed at the same time everyone else was.

*shrugs at Dante* in general it would be a very interesting idea from the point of a medic, but you guys usually don't let me patch you up as is xp so I doubt that I would get to do much besides show off how much skin I can manage to show while still technically conforming to a very strict dress code for proper ladies wink

Does it honestly need an entire guild?
Why not just make a sub-forum for it and make all your threads there.
Not that I really care, but you should have at least asked before deciding, especially if you were gonna be taking Latent.
Nice to see you doing something though.

Well with no magic I cant imagine most people being able to help themselves much. So at the very least that's a point in your favor, this might be something to get Aki's attention with though... A working infirmary again, astounding as that might be.
To be honest I'd consider doing a medical doctor if just for the fun of taking one swig from the flask myself before giving two to the patient... Of course it has to over ride my underlying instinct of remaking a Holland & Holland rip-off in Latent.
I'm not a good person to cover the topic of clothing though, so I shall shrug and leave that up to others.

Technically, Latent was my creation, you just expanded (severely) upon it. Leviathan was always next to "A small port town." Latent isn't going to look anything like it does now due to the fact that a port town will be a big town.
Sorry for not asking, but I figured there are going to be enough changes that I didn't need to. That and the suggestions I got agreed with making it it's own guild. If you have any major arguments, please send them my way.
As for making a whole new guild for it: I just wanted something small I can run again. This isn't going to be anything like the Leviathan we all know and love due to the change in not only aesthetic, but culture will change a lot as well. Very few people will have the same characters they do now and things will be run differently then here in Leviathan.
Though, I must admit, Vahn would be interesting to see steampunk'd... a pyromaniac demolitions and combustibles expert XP

Heh.
I won't bother touching all the subtleties in any of what you just said.
So I'll just take a page from Dante, and shrug.

I would definately be interested if it matters Enki, it'd give me a chance to try something new anyways if you need people. I can take a better look at my book thing and turn Nathan into something brand new.
