He had to admit that the girl was an amazing co-worker that he could rely on, especially when he was the only active employee alongside a few others who were coming along if they had to. Up to now, Endo and Crevan were still missing from the scene, which was definitely a shame since they may need a lot of catching up to do. But still, he didn't want to pressure them into coming back; there would still be personal stuff that they had to deal with so it was best for him to still wait... for now. That was, unless something tragic would occur to both of them. The hunch was still there but it would be childish to just jump into assumptions.
Now, he was just done interacting with the client, even guiding the person to pay for the items through the counter. And then, the blond was tapped on the shoulder by a mother asking for maternity magazines since her belly was huge, pregnant with a six-month old baby. Ben had to guide her on the way since she also had difficulty walking with swollen feet, a symptom of her pregnancy alongside the morning sickness.

Not that Benjamin would mind since the half-demon was used to working without such presence most of the time. Today's business day was a slow one since there was only a few customers coming and going for their bibliophile fix, or even just to find stuff for research. He had just finished interacting with a customer and was now on the way to arrange the comics on the shelves; there would be no deliveries for re-stocking or new titles for this week, so for now, he was spared from extra work.
After he was done with the chore, Ben looked at the view of the outside street through the glass window. Time was surely slow in the bookstore, that was the though encompassing his mind before he was called to assist another customer.

- ☆ - [ enter ] "Hn..." Henry rubbed at his eyes from under his glasses. His eyesight is getting worse. "Maybe I should stop using the computer late at night..." He mumbled to himself as he continued walking. He passed by Bookworm's, suddenly remembering Aria who'd been looking for some philosophy book. For what, he'll never know, but he decided to do his sister a favor anyway. He entered the bookstore, going to the Philosophy section. He stared at the wide expanse of titles and sighed. "Well, better start finding I guess...""Maybe I should ask for assistance...?" Henry mumbled again, then decided to ask after 5 minutes. He hummed a song as his gaze passed by the different titles available.

However, there was another customer coming by who may need his help, another blond like him, except that he may be of different origin unlike his British roots. Based on the color of the skin, he may be an Asian, though the blond tints of the man's mane may be dyed or just naturally born. He decided to drop that potential question because it would sound offensive and instead went for the generic ones that he was used to utilizing when having to help out someone at work.
"Excuse me, is there anything I can help you, sir?" Benjamin spoke in a casual tone while having one hand stuffed into his pants pocket. The song that hummed out of the customer's mouth sounded foreign, but no, he should ask about that song for another time.

- ☆ - "Excuse me, is there anything I can help you, sir?" "Hm?" Henry glanced to the side, eyes meeting with a blond male. It seems like he is an employee here. "Oh, I'm looking for this book. 'Beyond Good and Evil' written by... Nietzsche. At least I think that was his name." He mumbled the last part, running a hand through his hair. Damn philosophers and their complex names. Did he need anything else? Henry doubted he did, but he was kind of bored just sitting around the house whenever Aria left to go somewhere. Ah, that kid. Maybe he should buy himself a book too? But he didn't really know any titles other than cookbook titles, and he doesn't really favor reading those when he's bored. Henry glanced at the male assisting him. Maybe he could ask him? "Hey, so this might be a weird question. What's your favorite book?" Er, ok that sounded really weird. Better clear this up. "Okay, that sounded really weird. Sorry about that, I wanted to read something in my free time but I didn't really know any good books." He ruffled his hair, smiling sheepishly at the other. Well, that was embarrassing...

"By Friederick Nietsche, to be exact. Hmm, the last time I checked the inventory, we have several copies left. Let's see if there were available ones." As he paced towards that section in order to find some good editions, the question was directed at him. Benjamin let out a small chuckle. "Actually, you are not the only one who asked that similar question to me. There are multiple others out there, and to answer that question directly, yes. Books are taking much of my spare time and going to the library helps to fuel my need sometimes." His lithe fingers were then caressing the sides of the book, eyes raking in the titles.
"Now, it's my turn to ask. What is your actual way of killing time if not for books?" the sales associate's inquiry was laced with a curious tone. The last time he checked, there were ten copies left in stock. Hopefully, there would be a few left coming by.

- ☆ - Henry was kind of surprised. He didn't expect him to know of the book. Then again, he didn't really know many people who read philosophy books other than his sister. "Yup, it was that one. Thanks." He decided to follow the male, keeping close enough to not lose him. He answered Henry's question with a small chuckle, one that relieved Henry. Good, he doesn't think he's a weirdo. It's a good start at least. "That's good. I'll ask you for some titles some time then." He shot the other a smile. The male asked him a question this time. Henry hummed. "Well, I like to cook, so I spend some time in the kitchen experimenting new dishes and the like. Oh, I picked up playing guitar recently. It's kinda hard to play while singing though. Those are my productive ways of killing time." Henry finished, a smile still on his lips. "This is a kinda late introduction, but I'm Henry."

"Guess what? Males who know how to make music and cook are the ones that I want to know more," he admitted in such a casual fashion before picking up the desired book from the self. "And this is what you are looking for, I believe, latest edition, one of the ten copies available in stock. You are indeed in luck." He then tossed the book towards the client in hopes that the other may catch it before rambling on with the other recommendations to help him out."Since you mentioned playing a guitar, do you also need written lessons or just songs for more practice?"
As long as the client wouldn't ask for anything related to history of guitars, it would be good; the references related to that were currently out of stock as of this moment.

- ☆ - "Yeah, that sounds grea—" Henry stops short, looking at the other male. Wait, what? He had said it so casually that Henry believed he was kidding, but he didn't seem to be the type to joke around? Unfortunately, he couldn't press further when a book flew his way, one that he caught with practiced ease. You get used to catching things thrown at you when your sister is temperamental. "Oh! Thanks." He turned the book around in his hands, examining the cover. The other male spoke again, asking whether he'd prefer a book on written guitar lessons or more songs to practice. "I'll go with songs for practice." Henry rubbed the back of his neck. "Thanks for all of this, really. I know you're just doing your job, but still." He chuckled, mildly embarrassed. Why's he getting all thankful? "So, now I wanna know, what do you do in your free time? Other than reading books, I mean." He asked. He was curious about him as well, though he didn't have a clue of the other's curiosity of him.

"There may be a few books about guitar songs in the music section. I'll go take a look." As he approached to that spot, the answer to the question about other hobbies was a concise one. "Meditation, and translating ancient languages. I can still cook if you want to try out British cuisine. You should try out the fish and chips." He then picked up the few books related to that topic and handed it over to him. "One of them is composed of modern songs back in the 19th century, just so you know."
An hour from now, lunch break would come around. Good thing he packed up some homemade panini sandwiches this morning.

- ☆ - "Alright." Henry nodded, following the male to the music section. In his head, he still lingered on the other's comment. Maybe he was reading too much into this? He looked up, train of thought disrupted, when the other spoke again, listing his hobbies as he searched the section for the appropriate books. Henry raised an eyebrow. Those were pretty... out of the ordinary, so to say. "Ancient languages? You mean like runes and glyphs?" He asked, basing his knowledge of 'ancient languages' from video games he's played before. Probably not the most accurate source, if he's being honest. The male mentioned British cuisine, which got his attention. "Oh, I've never tried British cuisine. I'd like to try your cooking out sometime." He grinned at the male. He was genuinely curious about trying out British food, especially the fish and chips that seemed popular. He was handed some books, one of which apparently is composed of modern songs from the 19th century. Interesting choice. "Thanks, I'll go through them and pick a few ones for now."After skimming through the titles, he settled for three books, including the one the male had mentioned. "Alright then, I'm ready to pay for these." He eyed the male, debating for a moment, then spoke, "I don't think I caught your name, by the way?"

"Definitely, but it was so much more than that. I guess, that's within my blood." He decided to eschew the fact that it was partially because of his biological father's blood, gaining so much knowledge of past and future events, including languages as part of the records. Once he heard the client willing to pay for those three books, his lips formed a small smirk, nudging those three books gently onto those two hands. "Call me Benjamin, Henry. Hope those will definitely help on those musical endeavors. And tell me if you need more than just those books that you were asking about earlier."
That way, it would be all in just one visit, in case Henry would like to go somewhere later after the trip to the bookstore.
