I also thought about Quiddich, I know this is DDA's department, but I've been looking forward to it happening for a really long time, and it would be really disappointing for everyone to have a failed season yet again.
So I was wonderign how he was planning to the games once we got full teams. The way I see it is that I think each team should play each other time once...and by the time they do I think the term will have been over.
So if there's 4 teams, they'd each play three games.

Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw
Slytherin vs Gryffindor
Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw
Hufflepuff vs Slytherin
Ravenclaw vs Slytherin

Those would be the six games, and then, if DDA's doing a quiddich cup, a final match or maybe just add the total points earned? Again not trying to say what to do just wondering what we are doing, this is just my view. What does everyone else, particularily DDA, think?

I love the good in that. That way all the mods would have to do is make sure the figures are right. It was hell trying to add all that together

I see what you mean by boundaries. I don't really touch so it's not something I understand... Does the difficulty matter with the number of points?

Grey_Temerity was definetely NOT in Hufflepuff. He was in Slytherin, believe me, I know, I like a second or third year when he graduated. (That's right guys our guilds first official graduate was a member of Slytherin. NOT HUFFLEPUFF....He'd probably be offended if you sent him a certificate that had the wrong house on it...lol. Actually, he graduated so long ago, the certificate will probably amuse him. (We'll just tell him it was lost in the mail.)

Well, I was thinking, with this many people involved and having to get online, term really isn'y long enoguh for six (possibly seven) games to occur one at a time, and then it's not fair to the teams that aren't playing if one takes too long, and since this is the internet it's bound to happen...that's why we have alternates, in case people don't get online on time. I mean, we made an entire subforum to dedicate solely to quiddich, we might as well use it right? I believe six threads should be set up: one for each game, then players can check each of the three threads that they're participating in and post when it's their turn. Other students can also cheer on their teams and make banners and whatnot..and by the end of term each game should have been played, and if it gets done sooner, then cool there's more time for RPing your victory, or if you lost, TPing the other team's locker room. :p
But yeah, all the games at once, or I honestly don't think they'd get done...I mean honestly very few classes go through even 8 lessons per term, so why would it be plausible to run something that needs such organization and high participation one at a time ?


I sure am. I'm also replacing most of the prizes with house points...we''re still gonna have a lottery at halloween though.

If you wish to submit house points, to the hour glasses, we wish to make it quite simple.
Just use the correct form and you won't have a problem.
Just be sure to calculate your total by adding your points to the total in the post above yours.

That's a mistake on my part. I was serching through the old threads to find out and I saw him post in Hufflepuff. I wanted to check so I pmed Grey using Adonis, but when the issue happened I removed everything and he never received it. I wish I'd thought to save the SMB. Grey Temerity is a Slytherin... okay. A simple mistkae on my part. I wasn't a member when Grey was here. At least I don't think so
These next two things I'm not an expert on so....

The thing with the Classrooms points...it depends on the teachers. DDA and Alutian and Celestial have been teaching for a long time so they'll know more than I do. The most I've done was looked inside the classrooms, unless it was the HOuse-elf class and they don't get points for that. I don't have a lot of knowledge in that area.

Quidditch: Term is 10+ weeks long. I don't even know how the games are going to go... I'll PM DDA about it now. I also need him to check on the calendar
House SPirit: What kind of prizes were there last year?

I'm good with elves and new members and how to make the guild improve more and more. Did I mention that Celestial made the House Cup?

I made anoyther version since the old one was lost. It gives the same message but not the same 'creativeness?"
