[Previously]
The elf felt so embarrassed from the last gesture that the overflowing of emotions was eating away at her. Slowly taking a stand, she bowed deeply to the one who was kind enough to indulge her, and keep her some company. Raising herself back up into a proper stance, you could see her face turn red. The poor girl avoided eye contact, or at least tried to as she would at times peek over at him, only to look away again. Raising her hands she signed an apology, but at the same time, in a soft voice; "I'm sorry..." Aerdrie spoke gently for the first time in ages. Pausing at the fact that she spoke, her heart sank, and quickly looked at him. Oh no! He'll run away! "Ah!" She went to say something else, but cut it short, and quickly ran out of fear of the disapproval of her speaking out loud.

[Now]

Letting out a heavy sigh, the elf had been dragging her feet for quiet some time in the shopping district. She had no idea where she was or how she got lost in here in the first place. Stopping in front of a display window to a toy shop, Aerdrie looked to her reflection, and made sure that her long pointed ears were still hidden under her long hair. Yes, thank goodness! The elf sighed in relief that she still looked human. It pained her that she couldn't be herself, it aggravated her that she couldn't use her voice, and it's all based on fear. Fear of being hurt, fear of scaring others, fear of driving people away from her......But whats the point when she's still alone regardless? She raised her left hand to her hair, almost gesturing to pull the strands behind the ear, but stopped, and lowered her hand. That fear echoed in the back of her mind, preventing her from showing off her slender ears. Aerdrie smiled weakly to her own reflection before looking away, and continued down the path. It wasn't before long that she came across a book store. It has been a while since she enjoyed a decent novel. Without a second thought, the elf walked on inside, and began to browse the isle of different types of books. One lead her to an isle about manga? She saw one that looked interesting enough to pick up, and open to a random page. She flipped trough some of the pictures that showed a girl meeting a guy, and the next with them kissing. Aaaaaaw. Aerdrie thought if she would ever experience something like this of a fairy tail. Unfortunately, she lived a VERY sheltered life and knew nothing of this sort of thing, so all of it is new to her. As she flipped throughout the pages, she noticed the guy and the girl......wait.....why are they undressing?.......wait!......WHAT!? "Eeep!" Aerdrie yelped, and accidentally tossed the book in the air, and tried to catch the book as it came down, but fumbled with her hands before falling to the ground. The elf quickly picked up the manga, and placed it back on the shelf. Her cheeks pink from embarrassment. Aerdrie was never taught about the birds and the bees if you will, so that was defiantly something she didn't know! And didn't need to see! She quickly hurried to the next isle, which lead her to more fiction, fantasy novels, one of which was about a human who meets up with a wise old mage, and a dwarf. Aerdrie continued to read, and found herself sitting down in the isle.

Dante Salvatore Luciano

What was that sudden scene all about? Dante had been passing by, heading over to the exit after making a deal and selling a backpack full with unknown contents, when the sight of a clumsy girl caught his eyes. She blushed madly after flipping through one of them anime books and curiosity got the better of him as Dante approached the bookshelf to take a look into the book for himself. "Hmm...not bad."

A charmingly devilish smirk slithered upon his face as an evil ploy began to grow in his mind. If the lass with pink hair was so coy about seeing drawings of such stuff he could only imagine her face if she ever got to that point in a relationship. The temptation of a naïve woman was too much for this gangster to ignore, and so like a silent prince he stepped up beside the girl of pink hair and dare to kindly speak to her with gracious manners. "Excuse me, dear lady, but may I squeeze by you? There's a book by you I would like to see." He pointed to a random book while not having seen the title but only pointed to this book since it was low and near her body which stood so close to the bookshelf. A soft smile ought to do so Dante cranked up the charm and hoped the naïve fair lady would let him a chance to open up to her. Just one shot to get to know her heart was all he was after...but would she give him that one chance?

The elf was so engrossed by the book, it almost appeared as if her face was literally glued to the pages. She was getting to the suspenseful part, wondering if the main character would survive the final fight against the dragon lich king! Just then, she heard shuffling, and instantly became more aware of her surroundings. Her heartbeat from pounding out of excitement to her own imagination while reading the novel, to now slowing down to a normal rhythm beat, and continued to read. yet, feeling the presence of another close by, her ears that were so well hidden under her long hair, flinched to the sound of the persons voice. Pausing at a decent page, Aerdrie slowly looked up to the man who addressed her. She had been sitting on her knees this entire time, and it would appear that she was in his way.

Feeling a bit embarrassed for loosing track of time, the young elf closed her book, and went to take a stand yet...Her legs had fallen asleep, and ended up stumbling slightly into his right shoulder. Aerdrie quickly caught herself, and just as fast took a step back. She bowed deeply to him before standing back straight and signing an apology to him. She lightly blushed, and looked away. "If I startled you, I'm sorry......my legs fell asleep......and........sorry!" She signed again. Aerdrie doesn't know the feel or touch of a man, or woman for that mattered, and always felt awkward bumping into them on accident, and blamed her clumsiness, which she was...still. Not wanting to make eye contact, she held her book close to her chest, and took another side step to be extra sure that she was no longer in his way, even went as far as pulling her long hair with her since it kinda dragged on the ground for how ridiculously long it is.

Wasn't it common curtesy to be somewhat quiet in a bookstore- or was that exclusive to libraries? Äura pondered this as their large ears swiveled to hear a girl down the isle to their far left. The large ears laid flat again, replaced by the precious ores that were their large ruby colored eyes. This female had even longer hair than themself, which was quite rare given the human standard. Though perhaps said standard was ill presented on such a fair creature. Äura simply did not believe the pink haired minx was human at all. Lowering the open book away from their nose, the eeray watched the panicked girl run away from her prior book like it had bitten her. The wary if not slightly jestering smirk on their own face went overlooked as they blinked, tail swaying as they, too, moved. The purpose of this was to keep the young laddie in sight, Äura finding itself in the children's book section in an effort to do so. This was more tolerable, if they were being honest; the stares of children were almost adorable compared to their adult counterparts. Children did not jeer or speculate, they asked simple and straight forward questions.

Anyway, the woman from before was now quite engrossed into another book, prompting Äura to go back to their own business before a suave baritone quite cleverly wiggled his way over. The eeray observed so because the male had not been perusing the isle before spotting the girl, not in such a manner that Äura would believe he could walk by and know the exact space where a book was sitting- that is to say, it was far too convenient. The creature would have giggled as they sat on an ottoman situated for the children, glancing downward as their paw grazed past one of those medium sized rubber bouncy balls they'd seen quite commonly in prize machines. They rolled it under the pink paw pads so very unaccustomed and unsuitable for normal shoes. Now since they were so close by, a sky smirk found their lips again, and with a kick, they rolled the ball where they very well hoped the suited male would step on it and fall. The prank could very well backfire in an awful way, but it was so childishly devious that the beast was willing to take the risk. If only it would play out in the right way- without anyone seeing it until it was too late.

Name : Papillon Roux

Age : 23

Outfit : As she wears in the picture

Thoughts : Disbelieving that she managed to land a job like this, and eager to accomplish her goals.

Company : None... Yet

Feeling : Happy and excited, eager to meet everyone she'll be working with.

""

Papillon had left her apartment for the day after a quick breakfast consisting of a muffin, and toast, and hurried on her way to her job as Manager to open the store for a new day. She was excited, truth be told. It had been a long time since she had taken an official position like this. She knew she had some level of qualifications... Maybe, apparently. Otherwise how could she have gotten this kind of a job? But she knew that she was going to do her best... Again, it wasn't really her first day at least on the job. She had moved in and had a small while to become established. Granted, she hadn't gotten as close as she would have liked to the rest of the employees. She'd been so busy trying to get everything squared away in her own, messy, chaos organized fashion. She had already looked over them on her database that she had newfound access to on her freetime. Sora... No, wait. Crevan she scolded herself, Benjamin and Endo... All quite interesting, but all very different from one another. She wondered if she'd be able to really get to know all of them... Well, today is a good day to start She thought to herself happily... If they showed up. The store was in good enough condition that they could get away with a day off. She still didn't have their schedules under wraps, but that was something that she would have to learn in her own time. No place really ran quite like this city did, she enjoyed it... It was very different.

As she approached her store she entered it's doors, breathing in the scent of the books with a growing familiarity. Really, it wasn't to far off her home. It had a very nice atmosphere to it, the rows and rows of books could keep someone entertained for hours. And she meant anyone, there was something to read for everyone in the vast shelves that she was just learning of. She had learned the locations of all the general areas and how the books were sorted. Despite the massive volume of books the shelves housed, they were quite tidy. She had Crevan and Benjamin to thank for that. She nodded her head, clapping her hands -quietly- together in resolution "Alright! New day" She says to herself, nodding her head as she does her quick look around the store, seeing if any of her employees are working, or if she can help anyone that might be within the store. Materializing her notebook and pencil as she did, ensuring that she could take notes of any situation that she needed to... And, you never knew when inspiration could strike.

The half-demon ended up spending his day off yesterday all to himself after working together with Endo throughout those two weeks. But right now, he was back at work and he had to bring in his best, more so with his professionalism being the thing that the customers liked to see from the blond. His simple breakfast of scones and hot chocolate back home did the trick to start the day right now him. Benjamin was just done arranging the books and was now ready to interact with the clients. There would be more chaos coming around considering that the weather was in good shape compared to the stormy weather back then during his times with his childhood friend.

But still, his mind reeled back on the past offer with Sage to be a model for the fashion line; he had declined back then because he was still unsure. More than just the possible reunion between acquaintances, perhaps Ben should come to a final decision. Indeed, that would be a plan to look forward to.

Sage had delt with this feeling before, this emotion that made his face flush pale- if no one was around to witness such an uncouth reaction. He personally frowned upon the feeling, thinking it as ugly as it was immature. Yet and still the fashion designer rang with jealousy. It woke up with him and drove with him here, rubbing him the wrong way until he felt all worked up over what may as well have been nothing at all. It was a heat that filled his clothes, refusing to dissipate no matter his discomfort or squirming. The mushi found himself having a sulk while he plotted, slender fingers tapping along the leather seats of his limousine, too irked to even attempt extra work. He needed...fresh air and inspiration, perhaps even some quality time with a mate of his. There was one he hadn't gone to visit for weeks on end, his curious mind wondering how the humble employee was doing in the small bookstore he liked to visit on days like this. Xiomara had his assignments, and Sage would like not to hold his hand throughout the progress. He left the secretary at the 'office' and stepped out alone, with only the driver to get him around. They parked and the mushi relieved the driver from having to get his door. He opened it himself, feeling less inclined to be poised when dressed...average. The material was still quite fine, obviously, but casually strolling around in sweat gear was plainly lazy. Should he call himself letting go? Hardly.

The overhead bell rang as Sage walked inside Bookworms, his eyes grazing the front parlor as he closed his umbrella and laid it aside the door. His hands clapped dully as he dusted them together, hips swaying as he moved further along to enjoy the smell of new books. Inspiration, or should he invest in a personal and alternative interest. A hobby like...Sage sighed. He had no other hobbies, he consumed himself with work daily. The mushi was a talented one after living for so long, yet the only way to keep from getting bored was to invest in one thing at a time, not exhaust himself with all the possibilities at once. What did he want to turn to? He considered doll making or finally trying out the confectionery tutorials he liked from YouTube. The designer twisted his hair through his fingers while in thought, still looking for Benjamin as he meandered through the store. "Are you here, Mr Harris?"

As the hour passed by for Benjamin, he was just done interacting with five customers so far, two of them asking for help for the search for the recommendations for comics. That was something which was not his strong point since he was used to actual books rather than comics, but he still tried his best. The two kids that were thankful for his service dashed away towards their parents and a small smile crossed his face. If it wasn't for his adoptive family; life would still be nothing but hell for the half-demon himself. And then, there was the cultured voice addressing him with respectful formality, inducing a curious look from the British man himself.

Lo and behold, the fashion designer was there, looking for him as if he was ready to conjure up something for them both. Or maybe, another casual talk would be part of how the day would continue on. The heels of his loafers clacked against the floor as he greeted the silver-haired figure with a casual wave of a hand. "Long time no see, Sage. How's your business coming along?" Not far from them, there was the tumble of books thanks to a clumsy child and another employee had to drop by to check on the situation. Not to mention that there was crying because the mother reprimanded the kid for such a minor infraction.

Internally, he sighed; parenting would be troublesome a lot of times, more so at this current moment.

”Steady.” Sage replied to the polite inquiry of the sales associate. Fashion was ever moving, and so he was as well. That said, the ‘work’ Benjamin was most likely asking of was more of a side project for Sage, something he was trying to create on the side of his real job. Often times his own designs had to be put on hold so he could attend to Prince BDSM. Not exactly to his fortune per say, but surely a welcome change- the mushi decided he’d start his own company instead. Even if he was dismissed from under Jester, he had far more than enough funds to support himself and launch a line internationally- the benefit of being an immortal, essentially. Unlike Fisher, Sage didn’t squander his time with jobs that went nowhere, though he wouldn’t know for sure what his twin was up to during their times apart. The other could be cunning if he wanted to be, intelligent and wise despite not speaking or acting like such. ”How about yourself? Enjoying this environment still? Quiet- Peaceful- Low energy, it seems.” Basically the opposite of what Sage was used to or liked to be surrounded by. Huffing, Sage began moving down the center most aisle, reading each sign for those that stocked the books he held interest with this morning. Looking was of no consequence, even if he didn’t buy anything just yet. Perhaps Benjamin could even offer suggestions himself, if the mushi didn’t like what he saw. He could be very picky about what he invested with time and effort. Afterall, who had time to do things they didn’t like? ”I’m looking for a new hobby. Suggestions?”

Hearing that the fashion designer was doing fine with the work was a plausible answer for Benjamin to take. The half-demon's reply was laced with descriptive insinuation at the inquiry."While it's mostly peaceful, there are chances in which it can get hectic, like this poor kid right there." Luckily, the sobbing had quieted down a little and the employee comforted the child. The mother was still angry but chose to stay quiet to retain the common courtesy. Then the question for the suggestions for a new hobby came about. He hummed in thought, contemplating on what to say.

"Say, have you tried anything that relaxes your mind from stress at work? Meditation, yoga, tai chi are examples for that. But in case you want to be a little creative, origami is a suggestion I can insinuate. But if you want something a bit more daring and fun, go for recreational sports. I found out recently that there's a bowling alley included in the city." It was just a few suggestions in the possible long list. He couldn't force Sage to try something new unless the other would be willing to try it out. As for the mother and child, they exited the store, so everything would soon be back to normal.

Sage stopped and gave the mother and son pair a look described as disingenuous at best, leaving off with a small hum before beginning to meander languidly once more. Was that hectic? He supposed it was for a book store, though he hadn't cared at all. They were soon to be gone nevertheless, with or without books as it were. The mushi quietly tsked, brushing his fingers at each shelf's ragged corner. "The poor dear, being scolded out in public like that." Sage gave that one fraction of sympathetic engagement, his steps slow and deliberate as he let his limps feel the rub of his sweat suit against his skin. Each heel swayed round about to land directly in front of the other, a modelesque stride as he glimpsed down each aisle. Being a human was hard, child or parent. It was harsh to yell over such a small argument, but he didn't know that family. Sage left it behind, cocking his head in consideration of what his associate might say.

"Stress?" Better yet, stress from work. Does work stress him out? It would only be natural for him to feel some frustration from time to time. He, so experienced with directing people, still felt exasperated by them. Did he do anything to relieve this tension? Yes, he often performed yoga before bed, he thought of it as a safety net for his sanity. Half jokingly, of course. But as a hobby? Sage took more interest in origami, knowing it'd be quiet. He turned to Benjamin with his usual smile, lightly shaking his head at the idea of sports. With his health condition, he must take careful consideration of physical activity before engaging in such. Besides, bowling wasn't the kind of activity he would enjoy. "Oragami sounds delightful, where do I start?" Eventually his memories grew rusty, all but those he kept refined with repetition. Certain iterations of his life, as well as skills that brought him success; anything else, like paper folding, faded with time. "And as we go, do tell me about yourself. How have you been?"

                                                    ✿✿✿✿✿✿
