Bizarro? I'm trying to think what a bizarro me would be like. Probably, a straight, Bible thumping conservative? xD

I have observed this too. But it dosen't confuse me as such.
To be general, gender is such an important thing to them (them sounds so rude 0_o), and yet it's so controversial that it will raise strong feelings.

It's similar to how I'm very quick to defend minority religions and gay rights. Like....I'll have to stop myself punching you if you start being an a*****e about homosexual style quick to defend. confused
Those issues affect my life and those around me.

Gender however, is not an issue so I give it no thought. I've never ever given it much thought. I'm pretty feminine as it were, but I'm happy to blur the lines sometimes.

A little too much beer and additive packed alcopop last night means this post probrably makes no sense. I apologize. xd

I tend to agree, and it makes sense to me. 3nodding

Well that's the thing, gender isn't important to all of us in the way you're thinking of it. In my particular case, I was just trying to deal with my gender identity disorder before I drowned myself in lethal doses of pills or something.

Ugh I hate the name they gave the diagnosis. There's nothing disordered about my identity (I don't even really care that much about pronouns, names or self expression), there's something disordered about my brain expecting a female body instead of a male body and freaking out when there isn't one there.

I mean the only reason why I identify as a woman is simply because the treatment for this thing is going to restructure my body to pretty much as female as you can be without yanking chromosomes (and i really don't care about XY vs. XX to tell the truth) It just never seemed that intelligent for me to take all the hormones, get the surgery and remake my body to be female structured (fixing the dysphoria) and then walk around with male pronouns and my male name. >.<

I don't even remember why I asked what everyone thought of TG folk, but I guess it does sort of bring up a good topic, namely how much I dislike such a big deal being made of gender roles, gender expectations and gender in general...

I'd bet that without those things to constantly remind us folk with GID about what bodies we're in, we wouldn't be so screwed up from it. Or at the least, maybe some of us with less severe dysphoria could avoid risky transition. >.<

Sorry, rant done. >_>

No need to apologize, I actually enjoy the chance to learn more about the human condition.
By most professional accounts, my psychology is somewhat... different... from human norm/ideal, so I relish the chance to learn more about humanity. 3nodding
Your concerns seem perfectly valid.
I've recently been interacting with a lovely young lady from Thailand who's family sent her ahead of themselves as they wanted their children safe and out of the country with the recent political issues. Culturally, it has been a shock for her with how different the U.S. view on gender identity and the like is, from her homeland. I've managed to prevent a few uncomfortable miscommunications, but it has been tense on occasion.

Thank you for the clarification Saint Dreya and Disreputable Dog, it sounds yummy. 3nodding

Fiddler's Red would probably be an upgrade. xd

It's hard to figure out Fiddlers' bizarro form as I don't know him as well as other people do. >.<

One of the many things I miss about living in Brazil. There it is fairly inexpensive (or used to be anyways), and there was one in every neighborhood. Here...not so much. sad

My girlfriend's been wanting to bring me to Fogo de Chão for a while now, and this just reminded me of it. Her family is half wondering what I'd think of the food, especially feijoada, which includes pork ear, feet, and tail.

In other news, I just noticed my profile says that my inventory hasnt changed in over 400 days. I dont know if thats a sign if I need a makeover, or if I should just post more rofl

Apparently I'm undergoing a re-awakening of a childhood obsession and need to get to the library, 'cause I've reread every single book I have here on Greek mythology. Which means I have to go to the library TODAY 'cause after today it's not open again until the twenty-sixth. >.<
