Norven did not know what do do. He had heard rumors about groups in the est that had allied themslves with orcs. He peared over the top of the hill and saw a man and elf aprouch. Seeing a elf made his fears lessen for the logic that elves never allie with orcs. His grip on the bow string lessened he began to let his gaurd down.

Walking towards the shape through the trees, Elrothiel didn't bother trying to creep up on it, but walked up the path openly. She could soon see enough to tell it was a man, even from his hiding place and stopping a safe distance from the top of the hill, she laid her weapon on the ground. The universal sign of truce, she now waited for the stranger to make the next move.

Van raised his tip into the air. He wouldnt put his ploe ax down, but he would make it seem less threatining. He wasnt shure if the figure was as trust worthy as Elrothiel was guessing, but he still didnt want to get into a fight that he didnt need to.

Van watched as the man stepped into his view. His wepon was on the ground so Van eased up on his pole ax. 'My I ask your name, stranger?' Van asked, wondering why the man had stuck to the shadows for so long.

Elrothiel privately hoped that the man was as friendly as the peaceful gesture suggested. She noticed that Van hadn't dropped his weapons and mused that they had enough stubborn males fighting in the camp as it was. She studied the man. His assortment of weapons were all from different places - a ranger then. He was tall and dark-haired and she thought there was a hardness about his features that spoke of experience, emphasised by the scar over his eye.

"May I ask the name of the man who travels the dangerous Fangorn Forest alone?"

" My name is Norven and I am a ranger of Rohan" He said giving a bow. " I have been patrolling this area for orcs and goblins and came to see your party on the edge of Fangorn. I thought you might be a party of orcs on a raid but came to find that you had a orc in you party already may I be correct in that guess?" He finished trying to extract information on the orc that had left the party.

Van shook his head. 'There was a misunderstanding about one of the orcs we had that was captured during an attack.'The others simpley wanted him back so I returned him. And even if there was an orc in our party, what difference does it make?' Van said. It came out more agressive than he attended but it seemed to make its point.

Norven scowled. " Well there has been talk about orcs and men joining force and attacking villeges I wanted to make sure your not a threat" he growled at Van.

Van laughed. 'And if was in leagues with an orc, what would you do? Attack me?' He thought the mans anger was kind of funny. 'I have quorells with neither side,' Van continued, 'I'm merely going along with this party at the moment, not to raid any villidges either.' Van now had a slight smile on his face. Van thought a moment and held out his hand, 'I appologize for the tone, I dont take well to being spied on. My name is Van, and this is Elrothiel.' The man didn't seem like he wanted to really fight either, so van decided to loosen his agressive approach.

"And this is Eledar." Elrothiel said, noticing that the other elf had joined them. "Van is from Harad and our... prejudices against orcs are unfamiliar to him." She shrugged. "We didn't all necessarily agree with the orc's release, but we trust Van and it was important to him."
She shot a sideways glance at Eledar, hoping he wouldn't bother to disagree. What was done was done and the orcs appeared to be moving off as Van had predicted.
"We're camped in the clearing down there." Elrothiel continued, "Would you like to join us?"

Norven nodded. " I would so indeed" Norven said with a bow of thanks to Erothiel but in his mind he was still concerned about Van and his Harad roots.

((I am playing two charcters. Tyson is in dark blue and Nessa in blue))
Tyson pressed the inside of his calves agaist the dark brown barrel of his horse allowing him to spurt from a trot to a steady canter. He looked over his shoulder briefly to see Nessa in the back. "Come on! Catch up!" he yelled back to her as he faced forward again, a smirk on his face. He was naturally a better rider than his beloved childhood friend. They were like siblings always spending days riding throug the grassy plains outside of Rohan and sparing in the arena.
Nessa rolled her eyees and let out a laugh as she watched Tyson bullet off, but she was quik to react following in a bit faster pace. Sure Tyson was the better rider, but her red-bay horse was faster being she weighed less. "Oh you are going to get it!" she yelled aloud as she broke into a slow gallop gaining of Tyson quikly and eventually passing. She stuck her toung out at him as she raced by. A small stream approched and Nessa positioned herself to jump, which she did succefully. Tyson was close behind, and then Nessa stopped as she slowed down into a walk. A smile was on her face. "Ha! I beat you!"
"I let you win," Tyson remarked as he guided his horse up to Nessa's side. The scenery was bare. A line of woods was at their right and more clear fields eerily went on for miles. "Alright. Let's have a fight."
"You're on!" Nessa remarked as she dissmounted and drew her sword.

Elrothiel smiled again but it was slightly forced as she picked up Naraithas and began to lead the way back down the hill. There already seemed to be tension growing between Norven and Van - not a good start considering the others' reactions to Van's divided loyalties. She sighed. Things were simply getting more complicated. A slight sound broke through he musings. It sounded like galloping hooves a good distance away. She paused to listen, but could no longer hear anything. Shrugging her shoulders, she descended the rest of the slope at a light run, heading back towards the camp.
