Sailor PolyhymniaRoll total: 5Nia groaned. "I feel like I've been thrown into the deep end here," she admitted, holding onto Brioche a little tighter -- not too tight but a little bit tighter, as if to reassure herself. "I could do with a little less spooky. Especially with these shadows going around." There was a brief pause before, "How are you able to manage to keep so cheerful?" She tried to be positive, tried to remain cheerful, but right now fear overrode that and there was no way she would be able to put on her mask of fake cheer, not now. Then Brioche was hopping down from her arms and her fear grew stronger, leaving her to hug herself as she carefully stepped forward to make sure the Mauvian didn't get too far from her. Then she felt something brush against her -- something that wasn't Brioche, and she let out a short scream followed by a soft whine. "I can see you. I'm sticking close to you. This is all really, really scary, though. I don't like it."

10Darkness. Nothing but darkness. Wait no there seems to be some kind of light. It was small glow but it was still something. Maybe if she followed it she could somehow excape. She made her way towards the light. She noticed that she may or may not be the only person stuck here. It seemed like others were trapped here too. But that was not what really concerned her. The seemed to be moving and their seemed to be something inside them. And the fact that there was more than one of them terrifed her. She had nothing to protect herself with. She forgot her mace at home. She would have to somehow rely on hand to hand combat. But could you hit darkness? Shadows? She didn't know but had to try something. She couldn't just not do something. As the darkness came after her, reached for her she did all kinds of acrobatics. She didn't even know she was so flexible. She managed to dodge them and ran to a corner of the darkness. She took a minute to catch her breath, and plan out her next more "What is that music?" She frowned it was carnival music. Carnivals meant clowns. Clowns ere something she was not into. ((209))

Captain Wolframite - Half Youma It had gone dark too early that day as Winter and Marissa ran errands. They had some looking at what they planned to bring with them for their holiday trip, discussing what food to bring and whatever else they might want to do to entertain themselves. Winter had picked up a few more movies too as he kept adding to his collection along with another cookbook.
It was as they had left the pawn shop to help with the finding of said adventure that the city was almost pitch. Winter checked his phone for the time and looked back at Marissa. "I didn't think we'd have a storm like this?" Or maybe it was the season's changing to make it darker sooner. Living in the Negaverse didn't exactly help you notice these things.
As they moved to the alleyway for pickup, the shadows pressed even more to the point it was hard to see the walls and debris on the ground. His attention turned to Marissa before he felt himself grabbed. The old panic inside him flared and he powered up in an instant, claws out and snarling as he lashed out against the shadows. The sheer number of them was staggering. "Laven!" He called out to her before he felt clawed hands sink into his arms, neck, over his eyes and mouth, before he sank into the street.
--
He woke up on the black stone and groggy, looked about into the dark. Something told him that he wasn't still on the backstreet and his hair raised as he looked about. In the distance, he could make out lights. Noise. Motion. In the dark he also felt something there.
Rising to his feet, he looked around and started to head towards the group, looking out for Laven and hoping she was either here or had escaped.
"Laven!"

Arthur the Order Guardian (Humanoid) It had been dangerous lately bit while it had spooked him, he didn't think he would be taken. His fur had been clawed at and tail grabbed, but they hadn't managed to get a good grip of him and had always curled away once he went to the light. But tonight was different. So much that it wasn't even night anymore as well as it should have been day.
He had been walking back home ready for a nap when the dark gray of the day became heavy and oppressive. Yet like everyone else on the street who looked up expecting a storm, it seemed that night just took over. Some.pwople brushed it off as the change of the season where it got dark much sooner and rushed quickly to their cars and apartments, already aware of the news reports of dogs and nuggets grabbing people in the dark.
He knew better and started to race home, wanting to check on Nico and be off the streets, but he didn't make it that far. His hind paw was grabbed first and he clawed in the pavement and turned back to hiss and bite but it did nothing. Another hand came, digging into the soft flesh of his side. Gritting his teeth, he changed into his humanoid form, making himself s heavier and harder to restrain target. The response was instantaneous as hands grabbed his arms, neck, and hair and dragged him into the dark recesses of a side alleyway and towards a storm drain until he sank into suffocating nothingness.
--
When he Came to, he let out a hard gasp as he curled in and dragged to his feet. Disorientated, he looked out on a crystalized sea of black that sent chills down his spine and made his tail bristle.
"What is this place?" He asked no one yet felt he wasn't alone. Not because of the lights, but the noise and flickering motion around him.
Glasses broken, he tossed them aside and headed towards the sound of others and the inviting light. "This better not be heaven. I have more lives then this left." He grumbled before he was met with a cluster of people.
But just as he drew near, he felt something solid, alive, and large slam into his back. It moved away as quickly as it disappeared, but it seemed against his presence. Perfect.
Heaving himself back off the ground, he winced to his sore back before noticing someone familiar. Moving past the others, he approached the startled senshi. "Polyhymnia, it's Arthur. Are you okay?" He asked before noticing a Mauvian he hadn't seen before by her legs.
"Hello?"

RNG: 10 Peter Gallo (aka Eternal Oberon)
”Well this is unfortunate,” Peter said to himself after pulling his toothbrush from his mouth. Longer bangs had been pulled up into a tiny ponytail on the top of his head to keep it out of the way for when he washed his face.
And of course, the shadowy hands dragged him into this dark void in just his Spider-Man boxers.
He had clearly been preparing for bed, but it looked as though his good night’s rest was thwarted once again.
“Anyone got an extra pair of shoes with them? Size eleven would be great, but anything works,” Peter called out rather rhetorically, since there was obviously very low probability that someone would be carrying an extra pair of shoes.
And then it happened. Something bumped into him. Furry and hidden in the shadows and clearly sizing up the humans.
“Oh, no thanks,” Peter quickly declined any silent suggestion of being eaten. The only thing he really had going for him was being over six feet tall.

Lt. Lavendulan - Half Youma 5
The weather had been strange as of late. Or perhaps it seemed that way because she was so accustomed to the dimmer atmosphere of the Dark Kingdom. But when Winter made a mention that things were off and ushered her towards the alleyway behind a brick building, that was when she became concerned.
One moment she was standing beside Winter. The next… he shifted into his natural form; purple hair, moonlit yellow eyes and paws with claws able to rend a large animal into shreds. He called out to her in panic and in response her own glamour shifted and snapped like an overstretched rubber band.
Laven reached out to him in desperation. “WOLFRAMITE!” Her own claws tiny and insignificant by comparison, passed through nothing but air and shadow as he was pulled into the darkness.
His aura had all but disappeared and yet the sound of his voice echoed so clearly in her mind that it was as if they had been shouting from a cliff into an open canyon.
Wolframite… Laven wanted to call out but found she had no voice.
But she was not alone, the shadows were thick and swelling around her until that which all but ripped Wolframite from her, came for her too…
A strong grip held fast onto one of her horns, pulling her sideways as another hand wrapped around her wrist. Laven let out a startled scream and struggled against them. But the harder she tried to pull away the more instant they became. Another clawed hand wrapped around her throat and ankle before she too was pulled into the darkness. ---
When she finally came to there was an overwhelming blackness save for a few lights that dotted the near horizon. Even without her sight Laven knew she wasn’t alone. It had been a long while since she encountered the kid but there was no forgetting how wrong his aura felt to her.
Panic rose in her chest as she rose to her feet she jumped sideways, nearly toppling over the unseen debris when something soft, like fur brushed against her arm. Her pupils pulled into thin slits and from her was a low growl similar in sound to the last time she woke up in an unfamiliar place.
Laven! she heard her name called yet in that moment of distraction she felt the cold sensation of someone, or something, breathing down the back of her neck. The spines along her neck stood on ends as she flexed her claws and spun around on her heel to swiped at whatever it was that stood behind her.

Aiden Hale 2Minutes passed, or perhaps it had been hours, when Aiden finally stirred. It was hard to tell when there was no sun or light to help determine the passing of time. As he laid there, staring up into nothing, he had to wonder if he had actually opened his eyes or if he was just acutely aware of still being asleep. But then lights started dotting the area around him. People, by the looks of it, hallowed in a soft yellow glow. Out of instinct Aiden attempted to power up but found that his magic was blocked. It was a terrifying notion to consider, stuck as a civilian without his ability to sense auras to help guide him was like putting a blind man in the middle of destiny city without his guide or walking stick. “Alexandre…” He wet his lips and rolled over with a groan. Although unseen, there was definitely debris littering the ground around him. However, before he could rise to his feet something large rammed him in the side causing him to fall back over onto something jagged. What the ********> He wanted to curse, loudly… but in that same thought he also didn’t want to bring more unwanted attention to himself. And so, Aiden got up again and stumbled his way over to the nearest yellow-glow.
“Alex?” he asked as he drew near.

Corrupt Meridiana 4When Meridiana came to, she looked down at herself and for a moment thought that she was dead if only because her body was illuminated in soft yellow light. What the hell is going on… She glanced around. Noticing that she was definitely not alone he stood up and brushed any unseen debris off her dress. There was a mix of signatures mingled around her; chaos and order alike, some in groups while others, like her, were exposed and in the open. With her medallion active her aura remained hidden as she stumbled her way slowly over towards a light in the distance. Something large bumped against her, soft fur like a house cat but felt like she just shouldered checked a parked car with how firm the musculature from this thing was. Meri let out a startled scream and jumped backward. Her heel caught something, a rock perhaps, sending her arms pinwheeling as she lost her balance and landed hard on her tailbone. “Oww…” she winced and got back up to try to find a different route to whomever it was she happened to be walking towards. Deciding it would be better to allow her aura to be known she deactivated the medallion in hopes that an ally might find her first. [Open for interaction]

Super Sailor Nix Rolls: 3Nix had only started getting his bearings when he heard someone call for him. He turned in her direction and approached, bumping into something along the way. "Ah, Leaena!" he said, once he was sure who it was. In spite of the situation he let out a little laugh. "I don't think anybody ever says that full title stuff. Just Nix works, ya know?" He looked around. "Anyway...are you okay? Stick with me, we'll find out what's going on here..." There were many other figures around. He wondered briefly how many could be gathered together effectively. And while he wondered, he felt something slam him from behind. "Geh, what?" he sputtered, and spun around, ready to punch and lick whatever was there...but there was nothing. Then it thumped him from the side, and he swung at it, but hit nothing but air. "Not good..."

Guardian Cat Brioche Roll total: 6
"Shuuuush, Nia, it's okay, I promise it's okay, you don't have to worry!" Brioche regretted leaving the girl's arms, and turned back to face her. It was all he could do to jump up on her shoulders and curl about them, nuzzling against her cheek in the most affectionate way he could.
People liked that right? When you were sweet with them? Especially in scary situations!
... He was beginning to realize he had far too little interactions with actual humans in the past few years.
"Being calm comes with being a little stupid, I think. But never you mind that." It seemed another being was there before them, one that he didn't recognize as someone he knew, but as a fellow Mauvian. ... Still, for some reason, he offered a mrow instead of a proper greeting.
... Maybe he really was going senile in his old age.
"Errr, yes, this is Nia! Hello Arthur, have you perhaps been called in by this darkness? How splendid it is to know my new friend knows someone here!"

Chaos Cat Chip Rolls: 8Sounds, shapes, dangers resolved around the tiny cat, and his eyes stayed wide and ears perked high as he carefully moved along. A few of the more unfriendly feeling presences around this place swooped over and around him, but it seemed that being small had definitive advantages: Nothing could touch him. And he felt like there was music somewhere around here. Seemed as good a start as any, so he furrowed his brow and listened, trying to figure out where it was coming from, staying quiet for now, even as he heard others scream, shout, and otherwise muddy the sound waters.

Score Tally: 6Briar MacKenzie (unpowered of Super Chibi Oort)Quote: If you roll between a 4-7 you find yourself able to maneuver with some ease, though more than once you bump into something. It has to be alive; it squirms when you hit it. You can feel muscle, maybe a thin coat of fur. Sometimes, you can feel it breathe on the back of your neck--icy cold. It's distracting but not the end of the world. It was supposed to have been a quiet evening.
Supposed to have been. After all it wasn't as if Briar had had any particular plans. It wasn't one of his tree climbing days with Kirra and he hadn't made any plans to meet up with Peter, Tomlin or any of the others for Oort-type stuff.
Instead he'd been on his own at home, with some books from the library that were for once not study books and a plate of cookies filched from the morning's batch of baking.
He'd noticed the darkness that appeared to have had descended down from early afternoon on - although it would have kind of been hard to miss said darkness given from how early it had started falling - well that and the way that it had continued getting darker–
Even so, having shadowy hands drag him off into darkness had most definitely not been on his plans for the evening, the 'hands' almost bony and clinging, dragging him inexorably downwards and into..
Into wherever here was.
There was also the fact that he appeared to be well glowing.
There had been other glows in the distance and well it had seemed better than just standing to - well wherever the hands had dragged him and so Briar had made his way towards the closest of the glows - well make that the closest seeming glow.
It had made for slow going, little obstacles here and there - invisible little obstacles. Obstacles that most certainly weren't made for the oversized paw slippers that he was wearing, although at least he'd been wearing his glasses.
He wasn't sure how far he'd managed to get, when he'd started to realise that there were other things other than the glows in the darkness with him - although the strange something that he'd bumped into was kind of a good indicator, especially given the cold chill and the way it seemed to squirm.
Briar shuffled backwards and away to the side from another of the things - that is if it was really one of whatever the thing was–
Only to hear a familiar sounding voice from not too far ahead, suddenly that he was closer to the glow that he had been trying to make his way towards than he'd thought.
"Peter?"
Because while it did kind of sound like his friend what were the chances?

Super Acrucis 8
It was supposed to be a simple evening. A quick patrol around the clinic area to see if there was anyone nearby who needed assistance. Whether it was a powered individual or a civilian, as of late it seemed like there was at least one person she could find to heal before heading home; usually, someone who needed some simple medical attention but didn’t have the money or insurance to afford it.
But then the shadows came. With claws and teeth, they dragged her down into the depths where no light could reach them.
But then she awoke, glowing in a light similar in intensity as when she used her magic and as she glanced around Acrucis noticed there were others nearby, a mix of signatures; order, chaos and mauvian alike. While many appeared to be congregating into larger groups, the Senshi of Prayer picked one that appeared to be the most alone to help guide them to where the masses were meeting in case they were hurt and could not get there on their own.

It's like we're shining beacons for the shadows to come after!" Her breathing was picking up a bit despite not moving quickly, letting out a deep breath only to immediately start breathing quickly again. "....you're the one who just insulted yourself with that, Brioche, not me." Her voice was deadpan, a moment of calm in the midst of building panic. But then hearing, and then seeing Arthur, she couldn't resist throwing herself at the Mauvian, hugging him tightly. "This place is terrifying and I just want to go home. But I-I'm physically okay. Scared, but okay. Brioche here has been keeping me company since I got here. He's a perfectly normal cat -- so he says."

Sailor Lacerta (of Bandages) (( 3 + ? ))There were familiar energy signatures in the darkness that intrigued Lacerta. It felt like a weaker version of Acubens and she was tempted to figure out who the owner was of said signature. Her initial fear of being trapped once more in an unknown place once more was easing off. However there were signatures in here that even the senshi of bandages didn't recognize. It was startling to say the least.
In the distance there were faint strains of what seemed like music but before Lacerta could take a step towards the direction of where the faint melody was coming from she found something brushing up against her. The unknown creature had to be of pure darkness as she could barely make out anything to identify what it was. But what she could figure out was that the unknown entity was trying to knock her over. Lacerta winced as she received what felt like a vicious headbutt. This was not a fair fight. Figuring that running would be pointless the redhead grimaced before noticing another individual struggling and figured if she was going to be attacked it might as well be while doing something noble.
Rushing towards the struggling figure Lacerta did her best to either distract whatever creature was causing the struggle or at least draw attention to herself. "HEY! Over here! Come get me!"
