puppylove713 Yes, the lab ties in with the practical which I somehow make out quite well with even though my actual labs themselves aren't that great. I don't really get it... I suppose it proves the point that I know how to do what I'm supposed to be able to do, but I don't do well with the labs and how fast we have to move... Unfortunately I don't know how to remedy that besides practicing a lot.

I find it funny that my venipuncture skills used to be very bad, but are now solid enough to score 19/20 on my lab in my current course. They grade harder now too. So I guess it is safe to say that I'm good there now. It is always nice when your weakness turns out to be a strength in the end. I say that because I am able to hit vein as soon as I enter the skin in most cases now. The only exception is the cat jugular... So far I'm good with everything except anesthesia... That is just taking me longer than most to get the hang of. It would seem that I'm the only student struggling with it which is concerning me a bit.

Sorry, I don't have any words of comfort or wisdom on this. It would seem that nobody does. Maybe I'm just slower to catch on than the others are. It is hard to say. I'm just hoping that next time is the time I'm able to step up and not make all of the horrible mistakes.... Maybe seventh time is the charm? Yes, if you count the two times from my failed attempt, the three times in last term and the one time this term I am at six times. This next time will make seven...

Well crossing my fingers One can only hope.... It doesn't exactly help me at all when my classes are late at night and by that time I'm starting to get tired and my attention is gone anyway. However if I were a day student it would not be any better seeing as my class would have been in the early morning hours and I am always a sleepy person then too...

Either way it plays hell on your time schedule. I'm screwed either way, but I prefer it the way it is currently for many reasons. I feel like the students in the night classes are friendlier, the instructors tend to work better with me that the day instructors do (I understand what they are saying and they actually explain things), and I don't have to be up at five in the morning... All of those are better for me. The best thing is I don't have to deal with the a*****e instructor that everybody hates. He is a daytime instructor.

Yeah, it is funny though because one of the other students who fell out of sequence with me who was with me in the day classes said that is probably one of the best if not the best thing to being an evening student. However, we still have the one instructor that is both day and evening that acts like the a*****e instructor. The only difference is that he is nicer about things. I like him more, but I'm still not too fond of him to be totally truthful.

He tries to joke about things in class, however, I'm not so sure he is joking all the time. Sometimes you just have to roll with it and go along with it. I did that the other day.

Basically he said the only way that what was going on with the dog being my fault was if I were Atropine. (That is one of the drugs we used) I just went on with what he was saying by following up with "Oh yes, I'm Atropine... Maybe in a magical world."
