Right now, I know of four ways I could incapacitate you abilty to fight with but a single stroke! Tactics, not strength, wins the battle when you opponent has a bigger force then you!" I reply. "But, I hope you change your mind before you charge in and get yourself needlessly killed by the enemies, my energy is reserved for essential personel and my party."

"Shut up!" it says in its arrogant, nagging voice. "You're an idiot! Listen to the winged freak; she'll save us. Oh, yes, she will ensure our prolonged survival...Unlike you and your pompous, suicidal nature! Why did I have to be paired with you? You're useless!"
The pendant is clearly unhappy.

I watch the winged girl with a bit of amusement as I do the others as well. After her little spiel, I basically ignore her and walk right past her into the city; out of her reach of course so she hopefully doesn't try to stop me.

"Great. Now we have three rebels. Just what we need. Rebels only get in the way. They try to run off on their own, find themselves overwhelmed. The rest of us have to save them from their own stupidity. Or we could just let them die. That would be no fun though!" I run after Leina, grab her sword, then attempt to pick her up and heft her over my shoulder.

The city feels off, like there's no one around, yet there are a million eyes upon you...the doors are all closed, no one is too be seen in the windows, even the flats above the shops look devoid of life. The red flag with the golden raven waves lazily in the silent breeze that seems to only exist above the buildings, as though it was not welcome within the city itself. Along the marketplace street, you see a bank or storage facility, a deli, a tavern, a bakery, a weapon shop, an armor shop, and a few other marketplace-type buildings. The bodies are scattered around the street, and in the alleys
Nyx:
You fail to grab her sword, and end up tripping over something and falling over, face-planting into the gravel street.
Leina:
You hear someone hit the gravel street behind you. Should you turn around to see who it is, you would see that it is the tora-mimi who was yelling at everyone to stop crowding the guard. Her arm is outstretched, as though she had been reaching for you.

"Who the hell put that there?" I grumble as I sit up. I then look up at Leina and grab her ankle. "Don't go alone. I heard frightened birds earlier and not much else. They flew away from this city. It seems all animals within the general area have fled. Something bad has happened here. I can feel it! It's not safe to go alone. So if you're going to go wander off, at least let me come with you."

I had been observing the town and it's feeling silently when I heard the clumsy noise and saw the tora-mimi behind me, but before I could get away from her and her creepy talk, she suddenly had my ankle. "Are you freakin CRAZY?!" I just about yell, but try to keep in mind that there may be enemies near. "Let me go! And you sure as HELL are not coming with me!" I start to frantically try to yank my leg away without causing any real harm to myself before I lean down and try to pry her hand off of my ankle. "Listen to the damn winged girl!"

I bring my hand back and slap her across the face. "No. You listen to me you self-righteous brat!" I spat. "You have three choices here. One, you stick with us and cooperate. Two, you allow me to tag along. Three, you can go off on your own and put yourself in danger. And if you do end up in danger, I'll make sure that the others don't come to help you." I dig my nails into her ankle harder before I release her and stand up. "So go off on your own if you want. Go get yourself killed. See if I care!" I grate out in a hiss before I turn and walk away.

My whole body tenses when this...chick slaps me as I attempt to keep control of myself and not beat the hell out of her. I just barely process what she says as I glare at her. The moment she is done, I totally ignore the other girl and growl through my teeth to her. "Touch me again, you little witch, and I'll slice your damn head off so quick you'll still be talking for a few seconds after. Now, I WILL go off on my own, and I don't CARE if anyone helps me," I glance down at my bleeding ankle as she walks away and hiss through my teeth before I turn around as well and start to head down the nearest alley I can find, or anything that's possibly close to an alley...
