TigerLily gasped, gently but quickly putting down the mouse to help the other cat from falling. She sighed, helping the other standup before, picking up the mouse again. She turned to look at her curiously, "Are you alright?" She asked, her ear flicking to listen for the footsteps that had weirdly dissapeared. She was hungry by now, but ignored it even as the mouse she held was making that worse. She knew what had happened to this cat, she had been exiled, that's what had happened to her so long ago... She sighed, offering the mouse she caught to the cat since she had lost her appetite, sitting down to finish cleaning off her fur.

Dawnkit was surprise to find her scuff in the mouth of someone she didn't know. The female cat simply placed her back on her paws, and then question her .... physical standpoint. She was stun, from what she grew up on, rouges were nasty cats that could fight as good as a clan cat sometimes, but without the morals that united the clan.
Though this one didn't seem all that bad, the mouse offered as Dawnkit started to refuse ....but ....her stomach gurgled to remind her ...that she hadn't eaten today.
"Thank you, for sharing your prey with me ...my name is Dawnkit."
She declares lightly. She bent over slowly and took a bit. That might have been a mistake, because before, it had been her belief that had kept her moving. Though a part of her hope that she was wrong, but what was the odds of finding a good rogue ...of running into a another cat whom would be willing to share their hard earn prey. Especially considering she had stolen it from clearly marked borders .....it was her path ...she was to be a rogue, and it happen right then and there.
As she bit into the mouse, big tears welled up, and slid slowly down her face. She couldn't hold the sadness inside, this ....change of fate that had thrown her so perfectly into this life. It was true, she no longer belong with the clan, and it didn't make her happy not one bit.
[Well, I got to go for the night.]

( ok. biggrin )
"It's no problem, and I'm TigerLily." The She-cat smiled happily, but looked sincerely shocked when DawnKit started to cry. What had she done so wrong? She had simply gone out, chased down a mouse and caught it.
She settled down for the moment, looking curiously at her, "Why are you so sad? Some rouges can be nice you know, besides, I didn't steal anything." She sighed softly, laying down. She had remembered the same pain of losing her brother, and her parents. She sat there for a moment, her eyes closed as she fought off the sadness and sat up, "Besides, you shouldn't cry. Don't let fate push you down, fight back." She smiled, "If you don't have hope, who will?"
She went up to a tree, jumping onto a high branch, and yanking off limbs and leaves. She sighed, jumping out of the tree and started to arrange them into a small den to rest in. She yanked out a couple vines, tying them up to make a fairly large den to rest in.
She admired her work, before turning to head to the lake to hunt. She sat down, watching fishes pass by, before striking out and sending the large ones she onto land and gasping for air. She dragged them over near the den, sighing softly.
Walking towards the den, she looked over her shoulder. "You can rest here if you like, I'm sure your tired." She said softly, walking into the den to rest.

Dawnkit couldn't help the tears, as she looks up at Tigerlily. The she cat was obviously quite used to living on her own, as she gather branches from a tree like a ......well ...like a bird and then went towards the lake to hunt. The way she caught fish, Dawnkit took one paw and scrubbed at her face as the she-cat's words sunk in.
Her eyes widen.
Could Tigerlily hear throughts, she had simply spoken to introduce herself ...nothing more and nothing less. So, how had she guess about her feelings on rogues, and how she guessed that Dawnkit wasn't a rogue herself? The kit didn't know, but, as the fish was brought back and she was offered a place to stay ....she felt a bit more uncomfortable in the presences of the older she cat.
"Sorry, I am used to staying in a hole in the earth." "I don't think I can sleep out in the open like that."
She mew quite politely as she turns her eyes towards the roots of the tree. Some of them came upwards, and luck was with her ...as there was one that arch more deeply into the ground at it's base ...making a small hole that she could nuzzle into.
"So, you want to know why I am so sad, huh?"
She answered ...trying to catch up with Tigerlily's earlier comment as she took the small mouse into the hole with her. She had only been nibble at it, without the ferciousness she would have had at home ...if she was this starved.
"Before, I tell you ....how are you about ticks and such." "Since, I got a mouse, and you seem to be a rogue ...maybe I can repay you for your kindness by getting rid of them ...while telling you the story."
She declares softly.

TigerLily nodded, falling asleep after a while. But the moment she woke up, she was out again. She let her claws sink into the ground, stretching lightly. She purred, laughing quietly as she moved off into the forest to look around. Most cats didn't like to be around her, the first reason was because she resembled a fox. And the second, she knew what leaders said to their cats, making them think all rogues were bad.
She sighed, jumping up from tree to tree lightly. She nipped at the annoying birds that came nearby her out of curiousity of why she near there nests.
She settled down on one branch, looking around for the moment. She sighed, jumping out of the tree and landing gracefully onto the ground. She had gotten used to doing that, remembering the time she sprained one of her paws, and nobody would help her.
"Why..." She closed her eyes, as horrible memories were shoved into her face. Having to fight away the tears that threatened to spill over and shook them away.
If she cried, there was nobody to sit there and comfort her, saying sweet words. Crying wouldn't help anything, long ago she swore not to do that anymore.
She went to the den she had made, picking up one of the fish and settled down to eat as her stomach gnawed angrily at her stomach in punishment for her forgetting to eat last night. Her ears were pressed against her skull, a soft purr echoed around her as she filled her stomach for the day.

Dawnkit had never seen a cat do that before, simply falling asleep like that in the middle of a conversation. She sighed lightly as the she-cat curled into her nest to sleep, and Dawnkit simply shrugged. She had offered, but it seemed that the story would be un-needed for now ....as she squeeze the mouse forcing bile out of it's small mouth. A small sack of what she could guess was it's stomach as she stalks over to the older cat and began her work.
Finding, smearing, and then killing the ticks. Though Tigerlily is a very lovely cat, she was infested quite throughly, and it was quite late by the time that Dawnkit finished. The small kit slip off of her as she simply ate up the remains of the mouse before she went to bed.
She was starting to become quite a night cat with the rate that things were going, but, as the sun rose and she woke up well after it had reached it's full height she came out of the small hollow in the tree to find herself alone. Her tail bottle up, and she rushed around the tree looking for her ...only to hear the gurgles of a stomach that needed food.
It was a relief as she came back around the tree to see her standing there. Or was it more like laying down, as she purred softly.
She had a friend now, and she didn't have to be alone ....as she walks back towards Tigerlily.
"I take it you went hunting again." "I am glad that you came back."
Dawnkit declares quite honestly as she smiles at her, and purred lightly.
"So, do you want me to show you how to deal with scratches and things, and in return you teach me how to hunt?"
She asked lightly ...shyly.
If she was going to be a rogue now, it was probably best if she got over her hatred of using her claws to kill. It was kill or be killed, and she couldn't rely on Tigerlily standing with her always. If her own clan would let her go, she is sure, that a rogue would feel no differently. No matter how nice she seemed to be as her tail flicks from one side to the other.

TigerLily's ear twitched, and she opened her eyes to look around to see who was talking to her. She had finished the fish, and sat up with a polite, and welcoming smile.
"Sure, I noticed while I slept that you were taking off the ticks. Sorry about that." She said sheepishly, laughing quietly. But she had caught on to what Dawnkit had said afterwards, frowning slightly.
"No one taught you to hunt, hm..." She shrugged, standing up and stretched lightly. "Sure, I'll teach you. But you have to be sure about it, you might not love having to take the life of another." She murmured, jumping into a tree lightly and catching a small red bird and paralyzed it's wings.
She picked it up gently, walking into the forest and coming back a couple minutes later.
"Ok. Now, since the bird can't fly, I left barely noticable hints were I went to hide the bird. So, you have to figure out where I left it and bring it back here." She said happily, sitting down.
"Is that a fair challenge?" She asked curiously, she could easily track down the bird, she knew it was trying to move away. But if she waited to long, the bird would be taken up by another predator.

"I am still a kit, we don't do much but sleep around and ...pick up things that are suppose to help us in our chosen path." "I chose to be a healer, so, my claws were never meant to be used to hurt someone or something."
She declares lightly in her own defense. Though it seemed that like usual she found herself talking to herself as she crane her heads upwards to see that Tigerlily was already up in the trees. The bird was caught flawlessly as she brought it back down and then proceeded to hide it.
Dawnkit wasn't too sure what to say when she came back, and instructed her to go and find it. Her ears pin against her skull, she was starting to get the idea that as friendly as Tigerlily is ...she wasn't exactly the swiftest claw. She tend to lose focus quickly, but she was strangely very perceptive.
She meow lowly.
"I don't know how to track scents either."
She hated admitting so much much helplessness in one day. She had no idea where to even start in trying to find that bird.

TigerLily nodded, frowning slightly. She sat and thought for a moment. She smiled after a while, standing up.
Shat walked down near the forest entrance, her ear flicking towards the trees as she heard the birds frustrated and high chirping as it stopped almost as quick as it had started.
She sighed, knowing the small and easy prey had been caught and shook her head, "Alright. How does hunting for fish sound." She asked lightly, walking towards the lake and sitting near it.
"This part practice is pretty funny!" She said, smiling slightly.
She waited patiently, looking down into the lake, seeing a soft glint of silver. She struck out one paw, knocking the medium sized fish out of the water before gently putting it back since she didn't need it. She looked over her shoulder and to the kit.
"Now, come over her and try." She said happily.

For some reason, the though of fishing seemed a lot more comforting to her as Dawnkit walked beside her and sat down. She remembered when she had tried to keep Sunnybreeze afloat. She had used her body to keep her head above water, and to hold her by the scuff from getting loose and floating free of her.
It was water that had changed her destiny, so it only seemed fair that water would aid her now as she sat on her tail. She looked into the water, knowing by instinct to look beyond the glare and to wait for her eyes to adjust enough to be able to see through it ...as clear as a mountain spring.
She had seen how Tigerlily had struck, though the fish she had pulled looked to big to a good target for Dawnkit as she spy a small minnow. She needed to wait for it to get close, and then, with a flick of her paw just as she had seen ..Tigerlily do she aimed to push the fish upon the land.
Though all the managed in the end was the splash up a lot of water.
The water itself was a trickser ...it made things look bigger and closer underneath it's surface and Dawnkit had fallen for it. As she looked a bit disappointed at the miss, but, maybe not as much as Tigerlily whom had been on the wrong side of that splash.

TigerLily blinked, quickly registering that she had been splashed by a fairly large amount of water. Her ear twitched, she started to giggled as her eyes closed, but that small show of amusement got louder until it reached a full ringing of soft bell-like laughter for a while.
She smiled, looking towards Dawnkit, "Sorry for laughing...I haven't been splashed since so long..." She closed her eyes, remembering when she and her brother had gone fishing for the first time.
She sat up, looking towards the lake again, waiting for a soft glimmer of silver to race past her. Her paw struck out quickly, knocking a medium-sized fish out of the water, she jumped up and gently caught it between firm jaws. She gently set it beside her, starting to dry herself off. She purred quietly, glancing towards the other She-Cat with a warm grin.
"Try again." She said quietly, her ear flicked as she went to look back towards the water.
She reached a paw out, dragging it lazily over the top of the water, humming a soft song she remembered.

Dawnkit smiled, she was a bit surprise. This cat's laughter sounded like bells ringing together or was it more like rain on a hallow. It was a very comforting sound, as the kit flicks her tail from side to side before saying quite seriously.
"Sorry about that ....my clan ...."
She caught herself quickly. Even if she was no longer apart of her clan, telling their secrets and weaknesses was still apart of her duty to with hold. So she shook her head.
"It doesn't matter, I will catch one this time ...for sure."
She meow trying to change the subject as well as give herself more confidences as she watches the water, and then sprung into action. She jumped for the water to swat the fish out of it as she saw the flick of silver, and instead actually topple head over tail into it.
It would seem that it was Dawnkit's time to get wet ....as she sat up snorting with her jaws clamp shut around something. Though it had been quite messily done, Dawnkit had managed to catch the fish.
The body limp in her mouth, and it seemed that Starclan was with her ...that the fish had been so small.

She heard what DawnKit was about to say, and brushed it off as an accident.
TigerLily smiled happily, giggling quietly. She helped DawnKit out of the water, looking at the caught fit and smiled happily. "Good job!" She praised, sitting down. She glanced towards DawnKit, "See! Wasn't that fun?" She asked, settling down. She walked over to the small stack of fish, picking one up since it was time around evening by now.
She settled near a creek, chewing happily on the meal.
She paused a moment, sitting down for a moment. "You did great! Eat now if you like." She said warmly, her ear flicking as she hummed, moving back to her unforgotten meal. Her stomach growled lightly, and she smiled slightly.

Quite, wet, Dawnkit shook herself as she tries to flick the bits of water off of her. Her tail shaking and puffing up at the end of her efforts as she walks over to her with the fish in her mouth.
Her first catch, and she thought about her clan would look at her with a fish in her mouth. Fish wasn't the type of food that sustain her clan, and they would probably make fun of her for learning skill that were better place for Reedclan.
She thought that was the other clan's name as she took the invitation openly and bit into the fish. She chew once before looking up at Tigerlily.
"So, where do you come from?"
She asked lightly.
"I know, I shouldn't bother asking, and don't mean any offense, but why are you out here?" "With these skills and your nice personality, I am sure, you fit in almost anywhere, so why are you wandering around out here alone?"

TigerLily smiled, nodding as she looked away. "I know you were going to ask sooner or later. I was born a rogue, and nobody liked me because I was one. I lost my family a long time ago." She sighed softly, looking off into space. Her ears flattened slightly, and she slowly fought off tears. She sat up, looking back towards Dawnkit.
She shrugged lightly, "I guess I got used to being unliked. So, where did you come from?" She asked, reaching up to scratch softly behind one ear.
She stretched lightly, full after her meal. She sat, waiting patiently for her to answer.
