The idea was fairly simple, make a outline that would act like a bottle and have a spell fill it. Sounded simple far to simple, it possible it was. But gig had the idea that crest where more like maps for a spell, what they did, how they did it. Most everything was set out in a spell's crest, how much mp was needed, how much strength was needed to use it, the damage potential it could do. The spells were always the same, it was the user pushing the spell that changed the damage not the spell, and that was how he got this idea, if a crest mapped, or "outlined", why could a enchantment not map out how the spell acted. That was the basis for the idea, simple enchant a medium so the spell which already acted a specific way, would stick to the enchantments path, and that pat would simply be a outline for the spell to fill and not leave its confines. Pretty much the idea ill be to make a inward pointing barrier so once the spell enters the enchantment it cant leave, and because that same enchantment is still connected to gig the magic that flows threw his body and control of it should still have a effect on it. That part he came up with a second idea and the main idea of the weapon, but that was later, for now the medium/s.
Giglamesh would set out his many tool around on his bike as he sat on it, yeah alot like river since he got his bike he has not been off of it much, pretty much sleeping a few nights cuddling it. Because the console was fairly large, and the set sat him close to it, for the first part atleast, he would use it for the enchantment part. But first he had to prep the mediums, and to do that he had to make what was two, in to one, yet one that could be separated back in to two. He would take out a small power tool that had a few attachable attachments, and the first cross. He would scratch a line around it to know to not go any lower then that mark, and is was about 2/3 of the way down it. He would connect a tiny little jig saw like tool and begin to cut the cross, he would not push it all the way in to leave a gap in the center, going all the way around, till he got to the longer part of the cross, he would then cut a flat line from top down about 2/3, then from the sides straight threw, it was not perfect but he would then cut a circle down about 2/3 of the way threw in the center of the cross. Finally he would slide the piece of plastic off of it. The cross now had a peg at its center and large portion missing.
Then for the second cross he would cut a hole down the center of the cross and 2/3 of the way threw, then on the sides about 1/3 down from the top he would cut all the way threw till it fell off. He would place the two crosses together which fit very snugly, as well as it was a single cross but two long sides and short top and bottom, he had made the two medium in to one. now with Mallet in right hand, a jewelery inspection scope over his eye, and he was ready to start the enchanting. He would have to picture how the blade was going to look. Something simple like a long sword, yet at the same time, had to have some type of intimidation factor besides the...well blade being made of magic, pretty much it had to look cool. He had a idea for a cool looking blade, but nobody not even him knew how it would work, if it worked. On top of the guess of it working or not, he was unsure what it would look like. Would the outline be filled with manifestation of the element? would the colors change for the certain elements? or would the blade always look like the pure magic cloud? There were alot of what ifs, and guesses, all of which would be unanswered. The only thing he knew was the sound idea, nothing else was certain except the idea that this would work.
With a idea of the plausible blade shape in mind he would set the cross down and use the pointed end of the raw magicite, he only had one more after this, against the medium. Then he would begin to use the reflect spell, his idea outside the enchantment was to make a trap of sorts for the spell to be reflected back in to another barrier which reflected in in to another, pretty much creating a endless chain of reflect and thus keeping the blade in place. If that worked then the enchantment idea would should map out the shape which the magic trapped inside should fill out, only speculation. Giglamesh would begin to place the tip of the magicite against the cross medium and gently tap the raw magicite crystal with the mallet, as he pushed reflect spell within. Giglamesh was slowly moving the crystal with his left hand tapping it with the right, taking a very close look of where he was moving the raw magicite crystal literally drawing out the shape of the blade across the two semi formed crosses. The blade was fairly simple he wanted it that way, and he etched out the outline of the blade on the first side of the medium fairly quickly of course except for tiny dents he could not see what he had done for now. But following those small dents he managed to make a few small details on the blades map, to add a few detail to make it look cooler of course. Gig had finished the first side fairly easily. Now came the harder part repeating the exact same shape on the opposite side.
He would flip the medium over and would try to slow his breathing, because this side had to match the other perfectly, or else the blade, if they worked, would not be symmetrical. So the pressure was on, his mind was incredibly blank nearly all of his focus on the placement of the crystal and his eye watching the placement of the raw magicite crystal. Like the other side he would begin to quickly and gently tap the magicite shard as he moved it creating the magic map like trap. But gig did so much slower then he did with the other side as he had to make sure he followed the other pattern details and all exactly it took him nearly twice as long to do so, but he felt that he did it if not perfectly, then such a small degree off that it would not be noticeable. Gig would study it thoroughly, flipping it multiple times to see if the matched, yet completely opposite, and it seems he did his job well, his hand work came threw once again with immaculate work. The glow on he crystal ad increased a great deal, but it was obvious the enchantment needed more because it was not as bright as it should be. With enchanting and raw magicite as one ut the spell in to it, over time it takes on the form of the spell...much like a copy. But with enchanting one is putting the spell threw the raw magicite, and in to what ever there applying it to, the cyrstal show the effectiveness of the enchantment by how much the crystal glows. If it is feint then then spell has not been pushed threw the crystal enough meaning one has to impact the spell threw the crystal more. When it glows brightly, it shows the spell has gone threw the crystal enough, and if it has gone threw the magicite enough for it to glow brightly, it has been pushed in to the item as well, this also means the shard of raw magicite is about to shatter. Once it shatters the spell is released and then imprint itself on to the item, much as the enchanter was doing before, the spell durring the process simply holds in to the raw magicite, once its entwined with the magicite the spell then attaches to where it was begin focused originally. A confusing yet fairly simple process, to make it simple as you use a spell it stays in the crystal, and as you draw with it it slowly break the crystal, once it breaks the spells glues itself to the pattern you drew, easy right.

Harpies who were grounded fought dirty. Obviously furious at her enemy, the harpy screamed flapping her good wing to kick up dust before she leaned forward adding magic to the scream. Lowering further, the harpy tried to make a dust storm using the wind wisely. Looking for help, the harpy added a low melody into the scream calling to her sisters. Oath sent, the harpy wanted to kill her enemy; but logic promised that would never happen. Wistfully, the harpy moaned adding her sadness to the song waiting for the sand to clear to see the fate of her enemy.

Lowering her goggles she clutched her gunblades and braced for the spell. The harsh wind whipped the sand around, but did little else. She heard a soft haunted melody weaved within the spell. While it sounded sad, something inside told River to stop that spell. Raising her gunblades, she fired her gunblades towards where she had last seen the harpy. Two bursts of three rang and she ran for Helheim’s case as she holstered her gunblades. Sliding next to the case, she quickly unlocked it before she saw the harpy coming towards her in anger. Hefting the heavy bat River turned and she fired a single grenade at the harpy. Hit or miss, she waited for it to go off before she ran forward, gripping the bat one handed she gave a swing, adding her left hand to the grip to give more power. She aimed the strike towards the neck and head. If the hit went how she wanted, the fight would be done and the harpy dead with a broken neck. Gig would carefully turn the medium on its side and just make some line arrows, there was not much room on these mediums to make alot, and who knows maybe it would make the reflect pointing inwards like he wanted. He just continued to tap, he heard some screech in the distance, to which gig would pause and look up, a harpy would have to be suicidal to attack gig right now while he was working he sat on his massive motorcycle, and in the front trunk like compartment, sat both hissatsu ichigeki, and kagetsu kamakiri. Gig may very well use both to ravage anything that interrupts his work. But it was only in the distance nothing was approaching, so gig would go back to hunching over tapping the mallet against the raw magicite crystal, which impacted against the side of the medium, as he casted reflect in to the crystal.
It was always such a tedious project to enchant something, obviously giglamesh was good at it as he did not have to be in his shop to do it, no gig sat on his motorbike hammering out the enchantment on the bikes console. The only time he truly enjoyed it was when he got to do it with maiyuri, he always did it in pitch black so pure magic would flash and spark around them room, it was a beautiful sight, especially for a young child lie mai. Of course the outcome giglamesh always loved...but it was always so expensive, and so tedious to do. But this single time more than any other, if his idea worked, then this enchantment may very well be the best he has done, and possibly every will do.
Giglamesh would stop to take a break after flipping the medium over on to opposite side. His back was getting sore from slouching forward, and boredom was kicking in. He would look to ichigeki, and kagetsu. From them he would turn his head down to his sides looking at hannabira, and hydra. He did not name hydra, but the rest of the weapons had received a name, not by giglamesh exactly. Giglamesh was not the brutish beast everybody thought him out to be, actually he was quite artistic, his muse specifically worked in a odd way. Each of the weapons in gig mind literally developed a personality and in turn named themselves, he never pictured there appearance but each was a person/creature all there own. Kagetsu a sophisticated woman which beauty rivaled that of the moons, ichigeki a brutish barbarian with a unsatisfiable bloodthirst for war, yet beastly as it was it still held honorable traits. Hydra a beast which spoke little, yet its age always show such wisdom when it did decide to talk malicious and cunning he was in every way, Hannabira a samurai told of in legend his skillful strikes could strike a hundred enemies in a forest of sakura trees during fall with out harming a single petal.
He would turn looking under his arm at O.I.C.W ...he had been used very little, and has yet to call to him, still nameless, yet always with him ready for the time which it received its name. Finally this...magic weapon he was creating as he sat there looking at the medium, he was unsure if the idea behind it would eve work. But he could not help but wonder how his muse would play with this weapon...gig already knew what the weapon he was going to make. For the most part it would be a double sided katana, that which could also separate in to two separate katana's. Each had a medium with the handle when separated, yet since only one spell would be applied to the two mediums a problem would occur. But gig believed that with the spell never being fully released it would never completely leave his body, and thus first his body would act as a tether between the two handles, with out its power being divided.
During his break he would notice the ragged and damaged teeth of ichigeki, he would have to repair the chain and blades before to long, chewed threw to much machine armor apparently. Any ways back to work, giglamesh would slide the jewelery inspecting glass back over his eye. and began to strike the raw magicite crystal with the mallet again, however the symbols he made matched the other side exactly how he did it on the other side. Which actually was making them flipped ninety degrees, but it seemed to be working as the magicite crystal was beginning to grow brighter and brighter he was nearly completed with the first step.

The magicite crystal was beginning to glow brightly, the blueish green myst swirled brightly within the crystal, then enchantment part was complete. Giglamesh would raise the hammer higher this time and with a final strike hit the crystal hard shattering it. The released a large cloud of myst that swirled in the air for aa moment before it stopped and reversed getting suck back down in to where the spell was impacted, literally imprinting on to the medium which he eched on to. He would set the mallet down and just look at the cross medium for some time. The enchantment was still glowing but not as clearly as visible because he was outside in the sun light, it was almost like gig was ascared to touch it. He would just stare at the cross for several minutes before he slowly raised his hand and picked up the cross resting mostly in the palm of his hand the long sides slightly sticking out of his bear like paws. He would stand and lift his leg over his bike stepping off and stepping away from it, he enchanted reflect reversed so there were many ways this attempt could go.
First when he channels a magic spell threw it it could reflect off the spell and blast him back in the face, not surprising cause he had reflect pointing at him. Second it could hit the reflect spell and do opposite, shoot forward stronger where it could also not be reflected, if this was the case he had preety much created a magic rod that increased his magic potential, while not what he wanted he could find use for that. Third and probaably the lowest probability, it would do what he expected reflect off the spell and come back, but reflect again and again around withing the defined shape he created within the medium. While this was a option it did follow the general idea of magic by directing the crest and magic flow, yet as far as anybody knew if gig did this it would the first attempt or success as far as he knew. Option four...the one gig not want to happen, the spell would react as planned but as it increased in strength by the infinite times it reflected, eventually the spell would become unable to be contained and the medium would break unleashing a spell of sch power giglamesh and half of the entire continent of midgar would be turned in to a crater. This was not very probably, but like his idea for the contained spell blade...this was also a probability, he was going with the spell could only reflect to fill the confined crest space a small amount of times before it could no longer increase...but probably equal chances for creating a nuke. So one blow up in face, two focus the spell making it stronger and pierce threw reflect, three create a blade by filling a predesignated area with the magic spell, four create a ever growing magic spell until space and time cannot withstand its power and it is released killing thousands maybe millions.....time to make a life choice.
Giglamesh would hold his right hand out with the medium in his palm he was sweating nervous, he would take a stance...much like somebody who was about to willing take a baseball bat to the head, but with right arm straight out. He would close his eyes and begin to cast fire threw the medium. "......sorry...." He was taking a big risk, but he had to believe it would work else his magic would make it not work. He spoke to his self, yet directed it to his unpresent family if he failed he would die, and maybe kill them too....but he would be dead so probably would not be the biggest concern. But of course even in death he would not want to take there lives. Gig could not even look to see what was happening, but the medium's runes were glowing a bright red that would shimmer green from time to time. Then....nothing....just the wind blowing and...wait...the sound fire burning something? The ******** had opened his eyes.....slowly like a b***h, to see what looked like a solid red blade. However the red blade was transparent easily see threw, the marking giglamesh had maped out on the medium, they were orange, and the blade had the slight look like it was on fire, but they were small around the size of daggers or smaller. Giglamesh was...amazed...almost skeptical. He moved his right wrist, as he did theblade coming out either side of the medium moved with his hands, leaving behind a very similar light trail like giglamesh does when he moves at high speed because of haste. ...Still skeptical, he would move his wrist move and move the blade were like there were solid parts of the medium, he would begin to move the medium around twirling it to switch sides making a few slashes and thrusts, still the small dagger like blades remained. Giglamesh would begin to laugh almost hysterically, it was a scientific guess that brought him to this conclusion, deep down there was always a voice or idea that it wouldnt work....that voice was now unhappy and grumpy cause IT DID WORK! It took a small period of time before gigalamesh got over the kid with a new toy phase, but when he did....he realized how small it was and his face went grumpy. What the ******** was he going to do with a fire dagger....wait. He realized he only casted fire the rank one fire magic. Because of the lo power, that could be the reason why the blade was so small....it was only a educated guess but it was worth a shot. One thing before he released the fire spell, as he could still feel the spell within his body, a feeling like he was getting ready to cast it but had not casted it yet. He would open his hands and with each hand grab one side of the medium then....he would pull it apart as he had made it earlier. The result was....two same size blades coming out the tip of the cross, still as solid as incredibly focused magic could be. Yet again though he tested them by twirling them like sai and slashing them around many times before he gave the conclusion that the enchantment feild really did work. He would put them back together and and release the spell the blade would begin to wobble becoming unstable then like fire with no oxygen they would just poof out in to smoke.
It had worked but now...to see if he had a double sided dagger or if stronger spells could make a bigger blade. First...he thought of firaja, and explosion...yet the picture within gigs mind was of gig slashing a building size energy sword, with the rage face. "...Pass..." So he instead could ready firaga, the crest would glow on the back of his hand then the runes he created on the medium. This time he watched it keeping his eyes open. He watched the blade slowly fill out from the medium like it was getting filled with the spell, slowly moving away from the medium mapping out the shape and details of the blade as it did. When he was done two blade out from either side of the medium were about knight sword size, simple huge....however t was not long before the edges began to wobble the shape of the blade moved and twisted before finally thw spell shot out of both sides of the medium like blades. Leaving smoking with looked like slashes from a fire sword in the ground. It seemed like firaga was to strong for the enchantment to hold, and while it attempted to, it was not able to hold the spell for long. This also gave giglamesh the idea of using that as a attack, that would pretty much focus firaga or higher ranked attack as the form of a blade. But with firaja and explosion they had such power gig could not know the effect a attack that would have, on the area or him and the medium. So once again he would hold the medium out, but this time he would begin to cast firaja, step up from fire and dagger, step down from firaga and knight sword, gig would hope this time it would work.
Once again the magic slowly moved out of both sides of the medium literally filling out the shape of the sword and all its details as it did. Till two long sword size and shaped blade appeared out of both sides of the medium...giglamesh just held the medium not moving, to see if the spell would break down again. But it seemed to remain in-tacked. Which gig would begin to slash it and move it around, he liked this size and length for it, he would separate it to see if it still worked that way, and it still did. A few more tests...one giglamesh would throw one of the medium halves very high in the air watching to see what it did. What it did was the blade began to shrink and dissolve, it was like a fire running out of fuel. But as it came back down he caught it and it instantly reformed. "...so...the spell stays within me...keep flowing threw me, and the medium allow a portion of space to be filled by my magic and the spell, with out ever releasing it...however if i remove contact with the medium separate, the space filled with the spell cannot be contained as the link to my magic flow is removed.....interesting...." He would still feel the spell within his body, he had created a physical link between his body, the magic that flows threw the world and threw his body, threw enchanted mediums, and finally open space ...all by a tiny little plastic cross. Magic could do many things apparently even defy the laws of nature, by creating something from nothing, when in actuality it was not from nothing just a incredibly complex yet incredible simple idea. That idea was fill a balloon with air, normally something you always touch yet can not touch yet using the balloon to trap the air, one could mold and form the air with noting by thin sheet of plastic between air and direct contact. Giglamesh simply filled that imaginary balloon with a destructive magic spell, again easy...but lets see you do it.

He had finished successfully attached a spell to a medium, with a enchantment. That was the hard part, to most even the idea the impossible part. Now some assembly....from unmade pieces, but nothing to difficult. Giglamesh would release the spell, and as he did the blade just became unstable and went out much like a flame with no air of fuel. Giglamesh would set the medium's on his bike seat and begin to get his tools out, well mini tools. A small anvil, smith's hammer, a small barbecue rack, some coal, and a clay pot with hole in bottom, and a chip out of the rim. Most would notice these as tools for blacksmithing, but at same time would notice he was missing things. But gig was tough like russian, he did not need tongs or girly things when handling red hot metal. But now he needed a pit, and upon looking around....did not see one. So he would create one...the fun way.
Giglamesh parked the front of his massive bike up against a rock, and would put his feet down trying to aid in stopping the bike. Then slowly he would push the levers forward. just as expected they would begin to spin and slowly dig in to the soil. But it was much to slow he needed a big hole now. He would push the throttle levers forward more the loud rev of the two inline v 2 engines reving, the front of the bike trying to climb the rock, and gig could feel hoq hard it was to hold it in place, this was only at half acceleration. But it was throwing soil and rock like it was quickly. Gig would then begin to decelerate one side of bike, then accelerate other then alternate them slightly. This caused the bike to pull to the side that was accelerating cause the bike to move like it was turning making the pit gig was making with the back wheels wider. But because of the great power the amount it went to each side became wider and wider till the bike literally went up the rock almost vertically and began to take off to right side, but gig would quickly pull both throttles back to neutral stopping the bike before it took off into another rock and crashing. Gig would look around kind of nervous hoping nobody saw him almost loose control of it. Then like nothing happened he would go back to the job at hand.
He would put the barbecue rack down at the bottom of the small pit he created, the put a large amount of coal on top of it, quickly putting the clay pot over the coal so it would none would fall. Then he would cheat and use fire spell casting it up in to the coal lighting the coals. He would give them some time to heat up. While he did he sat on the ground reading the other parts, putting the mini anvil between his legs, and putting the hammer to his right side. He would take out several small but long metal plates. Since the enchantment worked he already knew what he was going to make the weapon look like, he just had to shape them. Gig was not bad at black smiting, but he was not the best so he had two guards already made, they were similar to sai's but one of the point was coming down and would be over the finger. The blades looked like straight swords, but gig would make the handles with a slight curve like a katana handle, because it was more comfortable to the hand, as well as it could remove a small strain on the wrists when he thrusted. Gig was also going to make the weapon handles out of metal instead of wood, since his magic blade idea worked he needed to have some type of weight in his hands else leave the mind to swing randomly with no feel for the weapons position. Along with that he was also going to give the weapons mythril cores, threw the handles. The mediums would sit at the bases of the two weapons where they connected, the mythril poles would act as medium to the medium to transfer threw the handles to release out of the guards. Everything was in place....except time, he sat there still waiting for the coal to get hotter.
